No news yet of my Louis either! I wonder when he will come

 

So I ordered a Berg back in April along with clothes, wigs, shoes, and another doll head from Alice's Collections. I completely forgot about it until a small box appeared on my doorstep! It was just the extra head, but now I'm getting antsy just waiting for my boy! I'm glad to know I'm not alone with the long wait times!

 

yeah my estimate when I ordered was dec/jan. Clover Singing said it was about 5 months.
I ordered in July.

However, i DID order 3 dolls, one of which was the brand new sculpt and that may delay things.
No faceups, all blank but still. Takes longer to cast 3 dolls than just 1. lol.

 

Whats an estimate timescale for a blank head from doll leaves ?
Ordered a Pearl head and wondering how long ive got to pine for her lol

 

Depends from where you ordered it, my dealer told me that the wait for Doll Leaves is about 5 or more months. I don't know if an head will be faster than that

 

Just got the shipping notice for my Amara and it ended up being 8 months. I did order a face-up, so that could also account for the longer wait along with the current circumstances.

 

Ah OK then, I ordered from Dolk but haven't used them before. Hopefully as its only a blank head I might get lucky lol

 

Denver doll just told me they're now waiting about 9 months for orders to roll in. I've been waiting for some bodies for some girls and a boy... I already got heads in, so I'm a little impatient.

 

The multiple new sculpts and two back to back sales might have extended wait times again. *sigh*

I ordered my lot back in July and was told it was likely a good 5-6 month wait so i'm working on the assumption that I might maybe possibly hear something around new year.

 

I ordered Louis in 5 May from AC, now I haven't received my mail yet.

 

I just got my ship notice! I ordered a Zheng with the full tattoo face up, so that took a bit i'm sure.
I ordered late March, so right around 8 months in case that's helpful
I had heard that DL was impacted heavily by the C19 situation, so that likely is part of the wait as well.
I also ordered Doll Chateau at the same time, and am waiting for those still.

 

OMG the full set berg that i ordered on 4th October 2020 just arrived!! It took just 1 month even tho acbjd confirmed me that usually it’ll take 6-9 months!!

My Amara arrived today, too! I'm going to wait until tomorrow to open her though. It has been a hectic day.

They sent him with green eyes, so i'm just waiting for another pair that i just ordered. will definitely post pictures when he's fully ready !!

 

Today my Doll Leaves order finally arrived! Ordered Alisa and a head, both with face up, in november 2019.
It was sooo long but worth the wait! Alisa is such a sweet sculpt

 

Woah that's a crazy long wait! Did they explain why it took so long? did they lose the order for a while or something?
glad they finally showed up.

 

Alices said they were contacting Doll Leaves many times before about my order status with the respons it would be ready soon, but wasn't. That's all I know, so no real reason. I can only guess that probably covid added a few extra months to the wait but don't know if it that was the only reason.

 

i got my Zheng! he shipped, and i couldn't even track him yet, and suddenly he was here! literally 5 days including a weekend...
i'm working on photos for the box opening and all, but here's an initial shot of his beautiful face... definitely need to fit him for different eyes haha i've had this wig for him since last March

Not going to lie, reading this thread is getting me increasingly annoyed. I saw that somebody had ordered a Berg fullset in October of this year and gotten him already, and I ordered my Berg fullset in October of last year and still haven't gotten him. I'm not at all upset with the owner of the doll, (I'm happy that they didn't have to wait long!) but I'm really mad at Doll Leaves (probably even more so than I normal would be because I have a migraine). I was told by DDE that they were getting a shipment in 4-6 weeks and would make sure my doll was included. It's now been almost 9 weeks. I normally don't send multiple emails, as I don't want to seem annoying or rude, but I emailed DDE again today asking if my doll was there or not. This has been a really terrible experience, and I'm worried that it's going to impact the way I view my Berg if he ever does arrive.

 

I'm the owner of Berg. I actually ordered it from Alice and they confirmed that my order will take at least 6 months + shipping time. so i really was surprised when i got it this fast because it wasn't normal. i actually believe that my berg was a return or a reject. But honestly i can't blame you at all for being this annoyed.

 

I only saw after that I posted that you'd made a second post showing your Berg. He's very pretty! I find his eyes quite interesting; does he have heterochromia? I do want to clarify again that I'm not at all jealous or angry with you; I'm not irrationally petty like that, haha.

DDE emailed me back and explained that while Doll Leaves had assured them that my Berg is in the next shipment to be sent out, they haven't actually sent the shipment. DDE said that they have no idea what the delay is, and that they've been sending constant emails to Doll Leaves asking for a shipment date since there are actually several people waiting for delayed orders. As it is, they don't know when the shipment will actually arrive, but they assured me that they'd email me as soon as they got my Berg from Doll Leaves. So I'll still order from DDE in the future, but I'm thinking that I'll not preorder from Doll Leaves again. At least not until they sort out their issues with shipping things in a timely fashion and in the right order; it doesn't make sense that dolls ordered this year would come before orders from last year (which, according to other posts on this thread, has happened many times).

 

I just got a notification that my Louis is in the mail! I'm so excited!! He should be here in about 2 weeks!

My blank body shipped today from Clover Singing! The only issue is that the head I had intended for it...I kinda sold...

 

I'm confused. i got a second email from clover singing telling me my parcel for 2 dolls had shipped with a whole different tracking number so I emailed back to see what that's about. I'm assuming one box has one doll and accessories and the other has two dolls? but it seems wierd to ship them separate when they're all doll leaves.
I dunno.

Finally pulled the trigger on picking up a Berg from acbjd!! I think I'm sold on letting dealers do the work for me, lol, no more ordering direct if I can help it. I am curious to see what the wait time turns out to be based on this thread, as this is my first doll leaves order, but I suppose it'll come when it comes. I do hope everyone's orders ship soon!

I'm actually doubly excited; based on some info-gathering I think doll leaves will be a good colour match for my DiMDoll head I picked up back during their closing sale. If not then I'll have Berg and be happy, but it would be nice if it did work out so I could pick up the second body pronto :P

 

I believe doll leaves and dim match pretty well yeah.
I only have a girl body here but once my boys come in i'll do some hybridding for fun.

Okay I found out about the two parcels. the first one is Jeremy and the wig and shoes I ordered.
the second parcel is Ben and Augus.

both are "in transit to yodel" so they are... somewhere.

I wonder if they'll get here before christmas, that'd be nice.

 

We did and I am super excited!! He's already being processed OUT of Yanwen which is the fastest I've ever seen anything processed through for them so that's VERY exciting! //hops excitedly

 

@Shiro @purple_monkfish I'm joining the happy Louis arrival train, I got the shipping notification as well! I'm praying he arrives before the 18th, which is when I'm heading to my parents house (travelling within state, only 20 mins away, only the three of us for the holidays and we're all tested negative - so no sickness worries). I'm a little nervous, but also excited.

 

omg Yodel just appeared with my first parcel! it took FOUR DAYS to get to the UK from china. that is absolutely amazing.

the other one the tracking hasn't updated but that only shipped yesterday or the day before so will be a couple more days at least.

but dang... i'm impressed.

 

OMG same! My Louis got shipped! I’m super anxious now, I totally didn’t expect him for this year. What can I say? Christina is a magician since she manages to give me all my dolls faster than expected!

@DamianWhine honestly, I recommend you to buy chinese doll companies from chinese dealers (like Alicecollection or Newcloversinging). For experience when buying stuff from china, their english is generally very poor and miscommunication it’s very easy, so a lot of issue happens if they can’t communicate with a chinese speaking person. Your doll probably was the victim of some error, cause it’s pretty strange that in more than one year you didn’t get it, since fullsets preordered later are already shipped and received by owners!

I had a talk with clover singing and apparently I didn't qualify for the free wig thing, i'm not totally sure why as her english isn't brilliant but I think postage has really put a dent in her profit margins this year so i'm not too fussed and willing to cut her some slack.

In the meantime i'm impatiently waiting for the wigs I ordered elsewhere to ship so my boys can have hair dangit.
I also need to decide on eyes for Augus. All three boys came with yellow eyes which are... a bit odd to be honest. Why yellow?

Speaking of which, here's Micaiah! I need to get some better pics of him tomorrow when there's light, but I gave him a faceup and am loving having him here!

 

My Louis came in last night!! I took pictures last night in the dark for his box opening so the lighting isn't great, but aaaaa!! Shahar is here! He ALSO had yellow eyes out of the box, but tbh I kind of love them??

I also can't find any eyes I like for Augus. 14mm eyes aren't easy to find it seems and all my favourite eye makers aren't making eyes right now. BAH.

I did my Augus' faceup last night but the yellow eyes make him quite creepy with his clown getup. Different eyes make a huge difference (I tested some from another doll) but I haven't currently got any he can have all to himself.

 

Thanks! He makes me incredibly happy! The wig was just one I had laying around but WITH the outfit, it's such a LOOK and turned him into quite the character! I hope your boys come in too, and would love to see pictures of your Augus!

 

Woke up this morning to an email from AC saying my Louis had shipped Hopefully she ships as smoothly as my last doll shipped, where the longest part of the waiting was the week Cricket spent in customs.

 

My Louis is still stuck in my post office. I bet they didn't deliver today cause they were too lazy since it's vacation tomorrow! I'm sad, but I guess he will come before the new year.

I just have a question for who got the new msd male body: how’s your hip joint? Mine doesn’t look like what I remember from other owner pics I saw... But maybe I just remember wrong.
I even got green eyes, which was the color I wanted... I am so happy! (I asked for it, but they said to me it was random and I couldn’t choose... well, luck favoured me apparently ahah).
What can I say, I definitely like him! His teeth are sculpted individually, I was surprised to notice it. That means I’m forced to paint them... wish me luck.

I just officially ordered my first two dolls! It will take a while for them to arrive but I'm beyond hyped right now!

I ordered Lan and Pearl and I can't wait to have them here. Now I need some projects to kill the time and manage my anticipation...

 

I've been waiting since October 2019, and I just now finally got the notification that my Berg fullset has shipped! Absolutely wild. Not going to order from Doll Leaves again; to be completely honest, I'm not even sure how I'll feel about Berg when he does arrive. But I'm happy that he'll finally be here and I won't have to deal with that stress anymore. Until then, I can't help but be worried about something being wrong with the order . With my luck I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up getting the wrong doll, lol.

 

My girls are still in production but I found an Amara second hand that could help me surviving the time until they arrive. She was supposed to be a better mannequin for all the doll clothes I sew but she really grew on me.

The faceup is still from the first owner. (will be changed on the weekend)
I made the dress, socks and the yarn wig.
I had to "photoshop" something, because my desk is a mess and my shitty smartphone camera is not helping.

She is my very first doll and I still have a lot to learn. But I already love her

 

I ordered laura from them because i missed out the first time she was released and got super excited when i saw her available

 

I'm so stupidly excited for my Doll Leaves crew to come in. I impulse bought 4 of them with Christmas money.. I was so sure I'd regret it but I totally don't lol! They quoted me 3 months, which means they should be ready some time in early April if they're running on time.

How have their wait times been lately? Anybody order direct from Doll Leaves rather than through a dealer?

Hello the waiting room! Ordered a Lan with her adorable elf ears back in January from Alice's collections. Excited to have a doll from my wish list on order.

 

Has anybody else seen the pictures of the new 1/4 size doll Pearl in tan skin? Alice's collection and Denver Doll have photos.

And does anyone have a side by side comparison between the older slightly taller girl MSD body and the newer slightly shorter one?

Trying to decide if I want to put in an order for another Doll Leaves girl next month while I am still waiting for Lan... If so would it mean that one doll would arrive first or that both would ship together?

 

She is fantastic! That skin tone really brings out the beauty of the sculpt. I have a side-by-side, but it's just screengrabs from --> youtu.be/nkdQHBiI6hE <-- this video, so I'm not sure it's allowed. And in my (limited) experience with Doll Leaves, if the two orders are placed close enough that they will be done at roughly the same time, they will ship together. I was refunded most of the shipping for the second order. (But mine has not shipped yet.) I'm not sure how ordering through a dealer changes things, I would imagine that it's close enough to be in the same batch maybe (if they do batches, someone more knowledgeable than me please feel free to correct me if otherwise).

I love Doll Leaves face sculpts and I agree about that tan resin color. I really hope this means they are going to start having more dolls available in tan and maybe some more colors? -stares meaningfully at doll company-
