Elcubus are children of an Incubus father and a elf mother... since they are born they are fated to become Incubi or Succubi.

Wishful is made up of Soom Elcubi (goat)legs on Doll-love thighs/ ball joint and strung onto a female Doll-Leaves body + Wish Doll-Leaves head.

So here are afew photos i took of her last night quickly .... sorry for the bad lighting but they were taken at 10pm..

Oh she's beautiful, as always! Is she the Another Me Lilith? Or did you do her face up? Gorgeous either way!

What size wig is lian using?

 

Strr99 i used a wig cap and a wig size of 5-6", most Lati yellow/punkifee wigs fit.i hope that helps x

So many beautiful/handsome dolls in this thread!! I'm so glad I found Doll Leaves [noob here]

goldendiamonds - I went looking for this thread to see if anyone had made Wish into a girl and you didn't disappoint! I'm looking into getting his head to make a female doll since I adore pointy ears. His features are softer than Kira's, who I was also considering for the role.


I saw that Lian was a freebie and fell in love with her pouty little face even though I've not been too interested in tinies. She'd be so cute in some frilly little dresses.


I've been hemming and hawing over getting an MSD girl to make dresses for (big poofy gowns wouldn't take up as much space at that size, my only other doll is an SD boy) and since seeing Lian...I think I may go for a blank Maya with a girl body and Wish's head to get me to the required amount for the event Doll Leaves prices are just fantastic for the range of sculpts they have. It's so hard to decide! They're all so lovely!


I looove Amara's face, but her ears seem to come too forward towards her lovely face for my taste.

 

Patches Some sculpts just do that! I know with Royal I go between loving them and finding them 950% awkward. x-x!

Part of it is I think with Amara that she has such large eyes in comparison to their other sculpts ( like Maya/Lilith/Wish) who can take 12-14mm eyes and she pretty much needs 16s! XD

 

Yeah i think it's her eyes. They're the "big" difference. Her big lovely eyes are what drew me to her but is also what's throwing me off!

 

Bad pictures aside, Maya makes a LOVELY girl, as I can attest!

 

Hi everyone. I took a hiatus from dolls for a few months but I'm back today. I have to say that Doll Leaves sculpts are a pleasure to work with. They are very versatile with unique expressions and features.

Here's a look at one of my ongoing projects. From left to right are: NS Vivian as Spring, NS Royal as Summer, NS Blue as Autumn and WS Lilith as Winter. I will be trying my hand at making some clothes for these guys. I originally had V on a boy body but I decided to have her represent Spring and the faceup is a bit girly so R who is supposed to be Summer will end up with the single boy body in the group. What do you guys think? A female Spring and male Summer or should another one of the NS sculpts be the boy?

Ah i think in this photo you can notice that the oldest sculpt Blue has a slightly larger face than the other sculpts. Not a huge difference but for sure Doll Leaves has gone through some development in terms of sculpts. I still think my favorites are the older sculpts. I like Amara but her eyes are a bit too large for my taste.

My girl just came today! I'm so happy! Will be posting the opening thread later today hopefully. But she's strung SUPER tight. I almost can't get her to do any poses >_<

If she is to tight you can always force her into the fetal position and rubberband her so she stays in it overnight.

 

silvermasques - That helps to loosen her up some yes? I think I might have to suede her arm though. One of them won't stay up when posing.

Also, she can balance on one foot! Amazing

 

Itz Yep, It will loosen up the stringing.. I'd say leave her like that for 6-12 hours.

Might as well suede the whole doll though, rather than just one arm it would help all around!

 

I've looked at the tuts before but I'm kinda scared to do anything to her xD Even give the head it came with a face up even though I REALLY want to...

Now then... to find some rubberbands.....

Invie, your face-ups are amazing! I'm waiting for a Vivian boy, and it's great to see the V-head painted in such a delicate way .

 

Ah! Don't worry. I always get a little scared right before a mod but once you start working, it's a real bonding process even if it's something like sueding. Since you've been looking at so many tuts, I'm sure your darling will be safe in your hands. Much better than if you jumped in without doing research ^____^.

Thanks, coloredimage and Sigune! I have a hard time choosing a favorite amongst these sculpts. I also had a Wish at one point and I have to say I love the early Doll Leaves MSD sculpts.

Silvermasques, Ah! I am the opposite. I'm really drawn to teeth on dolls. I think some ppl can find them creepy though.

 

Heh, silvermasques - I'm with Invie on this one. When I took my pick from the DS sculpts, V's teeth were one of the reasons why he won out! I adore dolls with teeth; I have one already (Granado Sidonia) and two more coming in. I'm not sure I could explain why I love those teeth, but... whenever I see a sculpt with teeth, I have a 's/he has teeth!' squee moment . I just hope I'll be able to paint them right...

EDIT: Two! I have two dolls with teeth. Forgot my Supia Rosy for an instant, because she's a floating head at the moment :p. Her teeth are detachable XD.

Thanks very much everyone! Sooo... instead of binding her up for the night and/or sueding her.... I ended up making her a dress. I was posting her nudity all over FB and it was disturbing my friends xD ( wimps )

[ insert crappy picture here It's just a simple summer dress so she won't be nude. Made with some scraps I had. Its got a snap closure in the back hidden by her bow. I have to take it in some because it doesn't fit quite as I'd like it to

 

Oohh my. I can't believe I did it, but I've just ordered a NS Kira from JS. ^^;; *flails slightly* I'll just go back to lurking in this thread until he arrives. XD

 

Oh it isnt that I find them creepy. Nothing really creeps me out ( except spiders!!!) Visually I just find teeth on dolls kinda idk Gross? not sure if that is the exact term I want to use , but some are painted better than others and they can be pretty to look at. I have 2 or 3 dolls with a "bar" tooth or lightly sculpted in teeth but deep in the mouth where you can't see them from most angles! But my SD with teeth still bugs me sometimes when I see them.. ^^;;; its so odd.. Gore mods and blood/pus/grotesque mods and I love them.. But teeth... Hmmmmm

Thanks! And this friend wasn't the same one who was growing tired of the nudity. She's my bestie and the only one who really understands my love of BJDs. I made one as well. It's not finished though. I'm not as good as her with the crafting xD More pics coming soon. And as soon as I get her some shoes we'll head outside!

Hey everyone! I'm thinking of ordering the doll leaves large bust MSD girl body for a Unoa hybrid. I'm wondering what you make of the poseability? Hugs, Amy xx

 

Teacups and Teddies - I own a Unoa Sist so I went ahead and tested it out for you ^-^ The head definitely fits.

As for skintone, my Unoa was made before the recent color change. I can't say for sure with a newer "fresh skin" head, but the older Unoa skin color is pretty close to the Doll Leaves normal skin. It's not a perfect match; Doll leaves is a teeny bit pinker. A little blushing and I think you should be fine though.

(NOTE: comparison photo was taken with the flash on so it's a more drastic difference than you will see in normal light)

i got a quick wig question!
i'm about to pick out stuff for my soon to be ordered amara. so i was looking at leeke wigs and found the perfect one! i know that amara takes 6-7 size wigs, but leeke wigs are 6-6.5 ... so does anybody know if these wigs would fit, or are they too small? should i go for 7-8 + silicone cap instead?

Teacups and Teddies - Oh! I'm sorry XD I guess I didn't realize you were asking about the posing. I'm personally really happy with my girl's poseability. Her limbs are very flexible and hold poses well. She has no problem touching her face or sitting on her knees. The main flaw that I see is that she can be a little difficult to balance when standing. The girl bodies seem to be a bit top heavy, especially with their tiny feet and thin legs.

 

Thank you so much, just the answer I was hoping for ^_^ I think this body has a great shape and if it poses well then I'm sure I'll love it! This will be my third Unoa hybrid, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the different bodies all look together. I really like the Doll Chateau body too, but it isn't right for this current hyrbrid. Am i right in thinking this body is a little shorter than other msd bodies? Idont mind either way really, but petite is always cute Thanks so much for your help! Xx

Hey! Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but is Resinsoul white skin anywhere near a match for DS white skin? Or at least easy enough to blush/yellow into matching better? I'm looking into getting my girl some Resinsoul hooves, so color match isn't RIDICULOUSLY important since everything that isn't blushed will probably be covered.... but it'd be nice to know what to expect!

 

Frogg Resinsoul white is almost too white compared to DS white. DS has a slight creamy touch to it, but I suppose you could try bllushing the body to match regardless, not sure of how easy that would be, however.

On another note I love the spam ; u ; Amara is such a gorgeous sculpt, moreso in grey! And gosh I've been lurking all this time... saly I don't have my W with me to spam any pictures... u__u when I return home, though...

Hi everyone! There is a strong chance I will be getting a Doll Leaves Maya in a trade, and I was wondering about wig size. I found the perfect one in a 6/7. Will she fit a 6/7, or should I search for a 7/8?

That's it! I've committed to buying a NS Maya (with a girl's large-chested body, my first MSD) and a Kira head. So excited! These will be my first faceups and Lian will be my first tiny. :3 I can't wait to make dresses!

I really hope I like the MSD size once I get her. I only have the SD boy right now and want something to make dresses and cute things for. I figured MSD size is right for my wallet and tiny apartment XD

 

Ack! Drix is supposed to be delivered today and I have to leave in 9 minutes to catch the bus to get to work an hour early cause the stupid bus doesn't come when it used to. D: this stinks.

 

6/7 will be PERFECT for her. My G had a 7/8 for a while and it was definitely on the big side. It completely covered her ears x:
