DOLL LEAVES 1/3 girls Discussion thread

I just discovered Doll-Leaves and fell in love with the new boy, Evan! He's sooo cute, especially in the new skin colour, "Wheat"! Too bad that it's limited, I don't think I can scrounge up the money in time.
I also like Anthony, Andrew, Xavor and Hu, Daphne and Vanesa. Too bad that Doll-Leaves is so underrated!

 

He's so lovely! You could always do a layaway. I fell in love with the Aurora girl, but knew I didn't have the funds to pay right away. I emailed them and they had a wonderful layaway program of up to 4 month and not to mention they are SOOOO nice!!! =D

Does anyone know what sort of clothes fit these girls or of anyone who sews for this size and what size wigs they wear? I am brand new to SD's and I'd love to get my girl some things before she arrives!

Kait I 8/9 wig would be good for Aurora, She's a 21.5cm head Clothing wise anything in the Standard SD girl range is pretty well fitting. I don't have my girl yet but I bought her a dress from the Nine9style SD13 section. :> I hope it'll fit good around her large bust ( though 24cm bust isn't too bad.. kinda standard in SDs )

i have also fallen in love with Evan i would love him in white skin though with Wheat skin Evan's face up i wish i was rich... i really want Evan , Aurora and Flora .... want isn't the word it is need..... i really wish i could buy them yet i just paid for my new dragon girl from doll-zone... bad times

Honey my Kurau fits better in 9-10" because i use a really thick wig cap, but she does fit in most 8-9" if well elasticated. Also my Kurau fits in most standard SD outfits, yet the doll leaves waist are abit more slender then most, so it may be abit looser. But it does not notice much, you can solve the problem by using a corset or use a belt. But depending on style and shape you may not even have to do anything . I hope that makes sense because i am abit tired and am half asleep... i really need to go a bed now ...night night x

 

Ahhh I know what you mean x-x;; I scrapped up enough for an Evan myself even though I am waiting on Aurora.. XD I am so happy people like her though x)

 

Hi guys, just popping back in. My Bailey & Noir are still on layaway. I'm glad to see a second bailey. She's very pretty! I feel a little better about size proportion but I do think her head is a little wide and big for her body but I think a long wig and hair covering the sides like the ear should take care of the problem. I have yet to buy my girl any clothes, or even give the poor girl a name! For those SD DS owners already, what do you think of the body handling/posing? Will it need to be sued or anything IYO?

 

I feel like the knees are a little slippery with the SD bodies. I end up sueding those

I agree about Baileys lips! All of a sudden I have a thing for dolls with slightly open mouths and visible teeth which is why I just bought a DiM Laia.

I wish I could just order all the dollies I want right now!! I'd get a Bailey.

I am the complete opposite with teeth in dolls... it's always the one thing to creep me out of a certain sculpt.. I've only got like... 2 dolls with teeth my SOOM Ai, and DiM Robel, but they're hard to see.. XD

 

It seems that most of the older Bailey picks are not working anymore. So does any one have more photos of her from different angles?

And has any one put her on some other body because I don't really like Doll leaves bodies? I think some one said that they would post Bailey with some other body but didn't notice any photos like that (sorry if I missed it).

Larza:I can't help you with the body. I can check the neck hole size when I get home. I have added to pictures for you. If I get a chance I will try to added more with diffrent eyes and wigs.

Attempt to revive this thread a bit... I would like to know which eye size fits. Their eyes differ a bit, yes, but a rough estimate would be nice - Like is 16mm too big? 14mm too small?
Do they come/ship with any eyes?

 

Hey, there! I have recently become interested in Doll leaves 1/3 girls, but am having a very hard time finding owner pics. Does anyone here own Doris or Yume? I thought I had fallen for Bailey, but after seeing a few non DL pics, I have noticed that her forehead is short and her head looks huge on her body, and I'm wondering if the other girls have this problem, or am I imagining it and Bailey is totally proportionate?
I think Doris is such a unique sculpt as well, and would love to see her from another perspective!

Not that it might be of much help to you... the fact that I myself own Ula and find the proportions to work well... Maybe the neck is a bit long, if anything. Many dolls seem to have that.. or maybe it is just a taste/preference thing of my own to not like long necks..?

But this thread seem a bit dead, so there might not be much more help than that, for now.


I think I am also going to throw the request out if there is someone who could show me how the thigh joints work.
In the official photos of the 1/3 girl body you can see (vanessa) sitting with her legs/knees up to her chest.
Mine is strung tightly, so that might be a reason why... but I cannot bend mine that way - and I cannot see how I would be able to either.
So I would still like to see some pictures of how the thigh joints work, if anyone feel like sharing.

 

Bailey does have a big head for her body. I also have Aurora but her head looks really good with the body.

 

Hey, thanks for the pics! And I can totes access the marketplace lol I think I joined when you didn;t have to have so many posts for it. I didn't stay long, though, because I figured I'd never be able to afford a bjd, why stay in the community. Well, I am older now and can afford a bjd, haha! But, I never thought to look in the mp for pictures.

Have you had any problems with yours? Pose-ability or not being able to stand, or "remedies".

Yumeiro--my msd has the same problem, but they tell me sueding the joints will help tremendously. Have yet to do it because I'm so afraid to do it alone, but it'll happen.

 

Yes, Emily is to gorgeous. Love her face and those lips!!!! I think I may have to get another one of these girls!!

 

She is PERFECT for a long time OC of mine! Just how I imagined her, really, so you can imagine how much I am positively DYING over here. She will be mine this winter, I have made the decision. Just gotta mod some faery ears on her, give her a custom faceup and we're set lol

 

I have some questions! What size eyes do these girls usually take? As well...do they fit into standard SD sized clothing or are they slimmer than usual like with the MSD's?

 

Both my girls have 16mm eyes. As to the clothes I have them in SD size clothes and they look fine to me. I know the SD13 would be to large for them.

So she's new? That would make sense because I do check out the Doll Leaves site from time to time. I was looking for pictures of Puppet and when I saw Emily I was wondering how I managed to forget such an attractive doll. Same thing with Eve....

 

I was hoping to see some pictures of Emily as well. She is gorgeous. I just got my Bailey head (my first BJD doll) and it is a lovely face. I'm excited for the face up.

Hello - I have recently bought a Doll Leaves Doris and wondered if anyone could offer some advice as to what brand(s) of shoes would fit her?
I'm looking at the range offered by Impldoll for their Model and Star girls and also the SD13 range from Nine9 but I also like some of the styles offered by Dollmore and Iplehouse paticularly the ballet flats/pumps.... is it as simple as looking for shoes that will take her 7.5cm long feet or do different brands have vastly different widths too?
Any advice or help much appreciated

 

I also just finally found this thread. I have a question if anyone can answer I'll also ask in the boy discussion thread as well. Does anyone have both a Doll Leaves boy and girl I'm trying to find out how well the boy heads would fit on the girl bodies. I know the head circumference is slightly different but just wanted to check. I'm wanting to get an Andy but I want it as a girl. Thanks for any help.

 

I know that my Bailey head fits on the boy body, but I have not tried the Noir head on the girl body. I can let you know a little later when I get home and try the swap.

Any newly minted Emily owners wanting to show off their girl? Im debating whether to order her, but I want to see the quality of faceup from doll-leaves first since the its the main reason I fell in love with her xD

 

The quality of the faceup of all the Doll-Leaves dolls I have is very nice. What you see is what you get.

 

Ah thank you!! I was wondering if you order just a head though? And has anyone tried a hybrid with DL heads? I'm not too convinced with their bodies sadly ._. But they do look fantastic in clothes, so meh ^^

Update: I just read their Christmas Event. I could have got Emily with a free face up and Ovid!? *slaps forehead* Maybe I'll wait until April, for their next anniversary event xD

 

I think you can order the head separate. You can ask them directly or order through MoC, I know they list the head separate.

 

Hmmm. I looked on both DL and MoC, but they don't have Emily's head listed. I shall send an email there way. I would love to see if the head could fit on a Feeple60. The DL 1/3 girls have a neck size of 8.5cm, and Fees have an 8cm.. so maybe? xD

 

I lust ordered an eve from MoC! I couldn't find many owner pics of their female body and none with jointed hands on them but she is so pretty ^-^
Can't wait until she gets here with her little event buddy :P
