What size wig do these guys usually wear? Is 9-10 too big?

 

Mine's in 8-9. I would think 9-10 would be too big.

 

Any updates anyone? I changed my order from a Leonora to Lestia- Denny was very accomodating I didn't have a character in mind for Leonora and I didn't like Lestia at first, but she kind of grew on me. I really like her in the brown wig for the promo pics- I might get something similar....

 

No updates on my part but every time Kai does his weird bending backwards thing I think that I should really put money aside to get him the new boy body...

It's awesome seeing dolls that seem to be a bit rarer, at least on here.

Vitarja what fantastic photos! Just looking at your girls is getting me anxious for my dolls to come, even though I have no clothes or wig yet I really like your Rita's wig- it is very pretty. All your girls have such character and congrats on you find! Arno is such a good looking sculpt- will you be making him into a girl or boy? I think if I see anymore of your dolls, I'm going to have to collect them all too!

My Marcellina arrived today on the new Love 2.0 body. If anybody has anything in particular they want to know about it, ask! I'm not really sure where to start as far as a review of it goes, as it's my first DIMdoll. (Plus I haven't really handled her much yet.)

Damasquerade Congrats on your Marcellina arrival! She's so beautiful! I'm a big Marcellina fan nowadays so it's great to see owner photos plus the new body looks very pretty! Marcellina has quickly become my favourite even though I've admired Kassia and Bellosse for such a long time...

Some DIM Love Sorry the pictures are poor quality- I've been meaning to get a new camera but I keep spending the money on dolls

The new body is lovely, but there are "some" gapping but it doesn't bug me much. I cant get her to stand very well and I've tried hot-glue sueding, but I don't think I did it right. I'm going to try again and maybe tighten the string a bit. Overall though; I really love the girls, especially Odile. You can't see it, but she has little vampire teefs! They're very very subltle; so I'm just going to paint over it and not sand them off.

I have a question about the gapping - how bad is it really? Does it interfere with anything (clothes, posing)?

Here is my Marcellina I got recently. She is on the loose DIM body and I did the face up. I quite like her. She was my free head I got with Bellosse and an unpainted Half closed Kassia head.

I also have Bellosse also painted by me on a DZ body. Colour does not really match but I needed a body and don't want another DIM BODY. I may get a Dollstown oriental coloured body for her sometime soon.

@Jany: The gapping isn't too bad; its where the thigh goes into the pelvis socket when I have her sit (gapping) When I get a camera again, I'll take more photos. You can see the gapping in the company website; the side shots of her sitting. I'm not bothered by it; I ordered some cute pants and I'm dying to have her try on!

@keewee: Thank you! I'm not sure if I'm going to make Lestia a girl or a boy; but this mold definitely has personality! I hope you have a chance to pick one of these girls up- I almost got Leonora but opted for Odile. She would be my next if dolly funds permit! (I've been wanting to get a boy for awhile, but all these cute girls keep poping up!)

krystina, thank you! I saw the gap in the company pics, that's what held me back the last time they had a body event going on ... I might jump on this one though, I love the overall look of the 2.0 body (and I really want a Marcellina, even if she'd have to share the body with my floating Elfdoll head).

Question for girl owners: where do you shop for shoes? I'm looking for some cute flats but can't find any for 7.3 cm. Any suggestions?

 

I've just bought any flat girl shoes marked for MSD. Some are a bit loose on them without socks or tights but everything I've bought fits.

Shashy - your Marcellina's faceup is awesome! My girl is still sitting here blank, and will continue to be for a while yet sadly.

I have these from Angell Studio and they fit nicely.

 

I realized while in bed last night that you were talking about the SD size and that I was not in the MSD DIM thread. I only have an SD DIM guy and he just takes whatever shoes are marked 1/3 or SD but I don't know what the girls are like.

PS - I was reading Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi yesterday.

 

Thanks damasquerade. At first I was not sure I liked her faceup but I do now. I was going for the more dramatic look. I still have half closed eye Kassia to do. Not sure how she will be painted. I think maybe pretty and pink looking.

i am also finding it hard to find nice shoes. A friend said she got boys pointy girly looking shoes from DOLLHEART so that is an idea. I need to go there and look. I find their new website harder to navigate than their old one. Takes forever for pictures to load so I don't go there any more.

 

@Damasqerade:Wow those are lovely! I was looking to buy some flats from AS; I'm glad they will fit!
@svgen: It's all good; I'll probably do the same as soon as I get paid (just buy a pair and see if they work) I freaking love Hatsukoi. Super bummed they don't make the anime anymore; I'm reading Girls of the Wild's now. I'd update with quotes; but Hatsukoi is so much more memorable and hilarious!

Damasquerade so those silver shoes you showed fit the huge square feet of the 13 girls? I really like them and want to be sure that they fit before I order. Right now the only shoes that fit Marcellina are Dollheart round toed tall boots. They do not go with my fluffy pink outfit. I need something more delicate looking. I have never ordered from that place before.

I bought her a pair of nine9style and a pair of flowered boots (from an Ebay seller) The measurements sounded OK, but her feet are too wide. I'll have to check out Angell studio and Dollhearrt -- thanks for the recomendation.

I will have my Bellosse's body on Monday (finally) and I have Dollheart and dollzone shoes for her, I can post what fits and what doesn't. I am also considering getting her some different feet, so she can wear more sd shoes. Yes, I am a shoe addict!!!

I do not own a DIM doll yet. And I need your help to overcome my confusion, please.

To begin with, I didn't like DIM's sculpts at first sight. I started with more mature-looking girls like Angelheim's Zena and Impldoll YunYan. Recently I received Impldoll's Aigne http://www.impldoll.com/goods.php?id=544 and completely fall in love with her. After that I came across DIM's dolls again and it seems to me that I like them more and more each day.

My question is: do you find anything similar between Aigne and Odile/Leonora/Kassia or it is just my imagination? What is it that attracts you in DIM's dolls the most?

As a counter-example I could give my short love to Impldoll's Natasha and Karen, whose big straight noses at first won my heart and then drove me crazy, so one girl ended up as a boy and the other was sanded and repainted to make her look younger. I don't want that to happen to DIM's girls - they already look little sad to me.

Will be grateful for any opinion or input, please.

pinkhart. your Bellosse is gorgeous. I love that outfit. Did you make it? Also who did the faceup? It is really nice. I have this girl as well and I love her innocent look even with those fangs.

Is your body loose? My legs dangle which annoys me but I don't have the courage to try and tighten her so she stays loose.
