Does anyone have any owner photos of the 65cm two part body or the 68cm body, and/or can give me your opinion or review on the posability of the joints?

 

Here's a body review of the 68cm body. I can take any photos you want too once I get home

 

I have an Anye on the 65cm two part body; here's some photos from his box opening. In tterms of posing, he's pretty decent. Mine arrived rather loose and floppy, but after restringing he's able to stand up and do a good variety of poses. His ability to hug his legs to his chest is quite nice, though I don't have any pictures of him doing it.

 

@americanseamstress - Thank you for the video review. If you grabbed the doll by the hip joint area, how easily can it be disengaged? Does the hip joint cut look as seamless as it does in the product photos or is that a photoshop editing? If you held the doll and shook it would the hip joint disengage? How easily does the upper torso joint disengage?

@bickazer - Thank you for the photos. Would you say the tan colour is more orange-y or a normal brown colour? Can he sit at a 90 degree angle? Do you have any photos of the upper torso joint engaged backward and forward?

The thigh mobility joint is seamless if you have it oriented the correct way, and the hip joint is similarly pretty flush when the doll is sitting or standing without it engaged.

For the vast majority of the joints, you can disengage them intentionally, but it’s very difficult to do so accidentally, and this is true for the hip and torso joint

Has anyone gotten the newer 75cm body? I would love to know if the neck is truly 13cm and where exactly does the neck measure those 13cm. I'm hoping it is 13cm all the way, and doesn't tapper at some point, or if it does, I'm hoping the smallest measurement is the 13cm. I'm actually kind of crossing my fingers that it is closer to 14cm at the very top where the head rests/sits on the neck. If anyone has the body, I would appreciate any confirmation that the neck is indeed 13cm (or more!). Thanks in advance! (:

 

hello I have a73cm loong soul boy. and im planning on buying jointed hands preferably DF-H. but the only option they have is jointed hands for 70cm and 75cm. now im confused if i should buy the 70cm or the 75cm. I couldn't find a site so i can check the measurements if it will fit my 73cm boy.

That might be a good question for a dealer who has both brands, like BJDivas or Alice’s Collections. They could at lease get measurements from the companies and compare them, or have some insight into the sizes of the hands, and even the neck.

 

Quick question.
Does anyone have both an SD size DF-H boy and girl? (or even just owns an SD DF-H boy head and SD DF-H girl body).
I'd like to know if a male head would work/look okay on the girl body.

The Aran sculpt is a contender for reshelling one of my dolls, but the head needs to work on a girl body (which will then be modified to male).

Hello all, does anyone have DF-H male body 65 cm (3 parts torso) and take a picture of how far the body can slouching? I always like posing my boys for slouching, and i'm aiming to buy this body in the near future, so i wonder? I saw the promotional photos, but still want another references especially from owner of this body.

Just wanted to share this lovely boy I got yesterday. He’s a DFH Xiao Xin head in normal yellow, with a DFA 62cm ver. 3 body.

How is the resin match between DF-H and DF-A?

 

Pretty good! The DFH NY skin is a bit darker (more pigmented?) than the DFA skin, that’s a really light NY. But you can barely notice it with clothes and hair.

I just got this Mechanic head today, from Kitty Blue (thank you). I thought I'd try it on my Bishonenhouse guy since the head is so heavy. I am in love with the look. I want to make a spandex suit for it but first I have to come up with a color scheme.

I'm revisiting my plans involving YouGuang and YiZhong (spelling varies by dealer, which I find interesting). I was wondering if anyone has DF-H 70cm heads on the 65cm body, or indeed the 68cm body - I'd like my two to be a little shorter than 70cm, while still hopefully being decently proportioned in regard to the shoulder width.

Also, the 65cm body has a version without the lower waist joint, which I prefer.

 

Has anyone here done a hybrid with a doll chateau head before? I'm considering a 58cm girl body for my white skin Lillian head and I'm wondering what the resin match is like.

 

I've been having a hard time deciding between Agares or Yuzhou for my first Doll Family H boy. Which is why I've been sitting on doing a layaway. I heard the wait time is usually about 3-4 months, is that for a blank doll or a fullset?

 

I ordered a blank doll on April 3, but haven't received it yet. I think the casting time is at least six months...

@Nissa I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I think you can get a pretty accurate idea by getting the measurements of the shoulder. Usually if the measurement is the same the head will fit well.

Sorry, I don't know, @glueblade but usually if the body is darker, even in white resin, it can be matched in blushing.

@Tala, even so the plague has messed up production and shipping, you really should contact your dealer or DF about the long wait. They may have made an accounting error, and misplaced your order???

 

That's good to know, as I was contemplating on either a 3 or six month layaway.

 

Hoping to bring a pair of DF-H folk home - hopefully on a winter sale (I've been advised that they'll likely have one around then). I think I read somewhere, a couple different dealers, that DF-H offers extra male parts for their 60cm+ male sculpts. If so, are they magnetic or other?

For some reason I can't seem to track photos down anywhere... but at some point, I read that they'll include the hip piece + parts if you request it specifically when you order the doll via a dealer.

 

@Nissa - This dealer Doll Body : BJD - Alice's Collections - BJD Dolls, BJD Accessories lists in the bodies description that you can request it, otherwise you'll get an immovabe penis.

 

@xyuemoto oh yes, that's why I asked! I can't find any photos anywhere, it's just stated that if you ask they'll include them.

I have DF-A yellow and it's VERY yellow. I know DF-H has similar colors even if they have different resins, so I expect it to be pretty yellow too.

@Rurimas - Thank you for the photo. It doesnt look that bad here, I think I would pick it over normal pink. I heard their normal pink was very very pink. Is this their 2020 resin colour photo? I hope so, as I have a body on order in grey and I would really like it to be this dark grey colour.

But yeah, their pink should be pretty pink. My DFA pink doll is a very pale but very pink color, which I personally like, and my dealer told me when I asked about resin matching that DF-H resin colors are pretty similar to DFA (even if not a perfect match) so they should have the same yellow that's very yellow, and pink that's very pink, just tad different.
I hope your grey body comes as you wished!

I have a DF-H head in normal pink and it isn't all that pink. At least, not nearly as pink as that photograph. It's actually so down the middle I've had to check which it was I'd ordered a few times out of paranoia that I'd accidentally bought a yellow one.

 

Here's a picture of it. It's one of their practice heads, I had ordered it in stock back in July.

@AceofPancakes - Thank you for the photo. Maybe they changed the colour recently. I think I might still pick normal yellow though just in case. Your head looks like the first photo, so the normal yellow shouldnt be too yellow in that case. Im really hoping your head means the first photo is correct.

 

No problem! Fingers crossed that it does, and that you'll be happy with the color you get.

 

It's really not that pink as it looks in the picture! It looks more like the first pic I found than the second. That's not too bad actually, even if I liked the very pink one.
I guess I'll discover it when I get my doll too! Then I'll make a comparison

 

Has anyone ordered a body? How many months do you wait?

 

My DF-H body took almost exactly 5 months, ordered in the beginning of January and arrived in early June (via Alice's Collections) ^-^

 

I placed an other through Alice's Collections for a 65 cm body back in late April. I'm still waiting for it to ship, so it's been about 6 months so far.

 

I ordered a body early June and I'm still waiting for it.

 

Please, how much does the head circumference measure DF-H boys? I'm thinking of a hybrid with a 65cm 3-part-torso (or 2-part torso) body with Soul-double head.
I'm not sure which of these two bodies is better in poses.

 

Sorry for a late reply. My doll arrived on Oct 27 when I was on vacation. Casting & delivery took 207 days (12 days for mail). I think there was a delay because of pandemic that influenced many firms.

He came safely, and I love the quality and how the body is polished (there are no seams at all). Normal pink skin is very light, close to pure-fresh Dollshe/Dollstown or Souldoll new white. I'm afraid it will become a cream-white with time, so tan would be better for my idea.
The 75 body works very good, and no suede needed for posing. But I didn't make a full height photo yet((

 

Does anyone know if Doll Family-H tan skin matches with Switch mocha brown skin? I'm not talking about the color matching service DF-H offer. There's a head that is in DF-H tan and I want to put it on a Switch mocha brown body but I don't know how it would look on it ><

 

Just popping in here to add another photo of the pink resin. It's very pale indeed, as pale as LoongSoul's Imported Normal Yellow (the hand). However, DF-H pink is still noticeably pinker irl. The head is a modded Takumi Kazama, and the 23cm head girth mentioned on ACBJD is pretty accurate for this guy. With regards to wait times, I actually ordered him first week of January, and got him first week of September. His CoA did mention he's just about ready to go since March, but the pandemic messed up the postal system pretty bad.
