O that is weird! Perhaps they forgot to attach them in their haste

I asked Alice Collections about the 1/3 “static” hands and heel feet made for 1/3- they will not fit the 65cm body I really wanted heel feet’s for my 65cm boy If the 1/3 jointed hands are made to be universal, I’d like to get a pair.

 

Thanks for checking - that's a shame! It's probably due to the bigger wrists and ankles on the 65 body. I'll look further afield, I really want option hands for my boy. I love beautiful sculpting on BJD hands and feet, and while DF-H 65 is a good looking body, his hands and feet are decidedly not beautiful to my eye and I'm not in love with them at all, heh. If I end up finding suitable option hands from a different company, I will report back.

 

Late reply but I actually bought a pair of those 68cm option hands to try this combo on my 65cm body. The wrist ball gaps around 2mm on the left and right and around 1mm on the top and bottom. It doesnt bug me that much at the right angle that Id still use it for photos but turns out my body had yellowed more than I thought and the colour did not match well.

I do not think the 1/3 jointed hands are the pair DFH would suggest work with the 65cm body as I have ordered 65cm bodies twice where the event gift was jointed hands and the hands they sent are not the 1/3 hands which don't have veins based on the photos but the ones I received do have veins. I am not sure if they are the 70cm hands or a specific to 65cm size like the 65cm option hands.

Does anyone here know if DF-H's normal pink is a decent match for Dika Doll's normal pink or should I ask them to resin match it?

 

I thought doll family h was not resin matching any longer, please let me know if they still offer this service

 

@Dove They do, but only to colors they already have.

 

Does anyone have the 62cm ver. 5 body and could post a pic straight from the front? (Why do companies love 3/4 angles so much????) Is the 13cm shoulder measurement accurate?

 

@ToriaCrux Here's some pictures I took previously. Switch Huisa on DF-H v5 Body Unfortunately, I'm not at home to measure the shoulders right now. But, I'd say the shoulder measurements are fairly accurate.

Does anyone have a Granado and a Doll Family H in normal yellow and can compare the resins for me? Granado has a body I'm hoping to use with my DFH head but I don't know if the resins match (posting this to the other company's thread as well so sorry for the cross posting!)

 

I’m so bummed! Looks like DF-H has discontinued some more dolls. Did DF-H give any notice? Or was I just out of the loop?

I’m really upset about this boy, Lang Ya. I kept meaning to get him, but I guess I waited too long. T_T. He’s gone, as well as the 68cm Version-1 boy bod I wanted.

 

Oh no, this makes me think the 65cm bodies are next... I need to get another one.

 

I looked at DF-H's Weibo account and Taobao store. The 68cm v.1 boy is indeed gone from the TB store, but there was no news about any discontinuation on their Weibo. This must be recent - I was looking at both their TB and Alice's Collections pages a couple weeks ago, and that boy body was still there. Lan Ya is also not on their TB store, but I don't know if he was there before.

The 65cm boy (which I own), 68cm v.1 boy, and 62cm muscular boy all have similar joint engineering - which is completely different from the other bodies in their catalogue (such as 68cm v.2 boy, 58cm girl, and 56cm boy). The 65cm boy also doesn't have option hands, while the shorter and taller 1/3 boys do, so I think he was sculpted by a different person, maybe earlier in DF-H's history. So I'm inclined to agree with @xyuemoto - they may be gradually phasing out these older bodies. DF-H might not discontinue the 65cm boy without replacing him with a ver.2, but who knows...

There are 65cm option hands, just not advertised as far as I know. I have gotten some before because I asked about them but I dont like the poses.

I am worried they will discontinue it without replacing it. The muscular 1/4 body was. They teased a new muscular 1/4 body on their instagram but I dont think it's released yet. Or that they might discontinue it and not replace it because 70+cm is what is popular now.

 

There was an update on this 1/4 muscular male body on their Weibo a week ago. It's not released yet, but it looks like they're getting closer. (They're also developing a 1/4 broad-shouldered female body but the last update was back in July.)
I sure hope they won't abandon the 65cm boy size either.

I have a couple of the 65cm boy bodies and I love them! They are such wonderful posers. I also hope they don’t discontinue those bodies.

(WAH! I’m still crushed that they discontinued the Version-1 68cm body. It was so pretty and I bet it was a good poser.)

 

@aihre I can't speak to the 58cm girl and 56cm boy body, but the 68cm V.2 body was sculpted by Mori 9.

 

Thanks @Cloudedmind - I'm glad to know it's Mori 9's work. I've had 68ver.2 on my hybrid wishlist for a while, here's hoping I'll have a chance to get it in future. (Too many nice bodies I want to buy, but not enough doll heads on my wishlist... )

 

Hello everyone! I just received my 75 cm strong body yesterday! I am super excited to have him, but I wasn't expecting him so soon so now I have no clothes for him. Anyone know what clothes can fit him? This is the body in question. strong 75cm boy BODY ONLY DF-H 1/3 size SD17 BJD doll_1/3 size doll_Doll Family-H(25% OFF)_Clover singing doll base It might be a newer model, I'm not sure. I also can't find it on Alice's or Legenddoll, which I think is odd. So any ideas? I've tried looking for ID75 stuff but all I can find are gorgeous super expensive kimonos and things like that, which I am not sure will fit and are way more expensive than I am looking for. I just want some jeans and a t shirt. Till I can find something better he is going to get terrible quickly made pj bottoms.

I personally can not vouch for all of these companies as I've only bought from a handful of them.

If you want to know if an item is/was time limited or still available for sale usually in the title it'll say "deposit" for a time limited item that's still up for sale. If it says "final payment" or "tail/tail end" then the item is no longer up for sale and the link is only available for those who paid the deposit to do their last payment.

 

I have tried Alice's Collections but I always forget that Stacy's Pink Ocean exists. I will go try them out.

As for the Taobao shops, I have tried so many times to get into there, but even with Google translate it is impossible to navigate for me. And if you use a proxy don't you still have to find the items yourself and they just buy it for you?

 

bhiner has a search function, i find it more frustrating to navigate than just finding the taobao link myself personally, but if you go to Looking for BJD dolls and wigs? Bhiner is your bjd paradise you can just search around without needing a link. I think too you can also put the taobao link of the shop in the bhiner lookup and get to the shop that way, so you can still look at all of their items.

 

Whoa...I have never even heard of them before...The prices are so cheap though, are they really legit? They look awesome so I really hope they are, even if it requires an account.

 

@lividdarkangel I've only ever used Bhiner as a forwarding service and not a shopping service, but they are indeed legit. Their shipping prices can feel a little steep sometimes, but they offer multiple shipping options. Unfortunately, they stopped accepting PayPal as a payment option a little while ago. So, it's card only now. But, they also don't store your card information on any of their servers.

@salvarion I have the slim 68cm girl. I’m not sure if you mean Doll family h heads or not. I have it as a hybrid with a Huli doll head.

@salvarion I've got the new 68 girl body, the more muscled one. I've got my Souldoll Karin head on it. Proportions are good, but I think she's sitting a bit high on the neck. It's just a little bit, so going to live with it a while before I decide to do any modding.

 

I had the same issue with the long neck, but I decided not to mod.

I ordered a New doll from Legend in October and it is no longer on their website. I have sent a message to ask if she is still available.

So the people who ordered months ago may still get their dolls even though the dolls have been discontinued.

 

Hi everyone! One question, has there been any recent discontinuation announcement of DFH? I no longer see the recurring variety in the Alice Collection catalog for example; I wanted to check the November discount to see what the price of Lorin or Ling Long was, but they are no longer there, and neither are many others

Yeah, it's all these unannounced discontinuations that have me spooked.

Per my last posts in this thread in September, I've been so afraid that the 65cm male body is going to get retired without notice, I just went ahead and ordered one last month. It's still showing as listed at Alice's Collection, so I'm hoping it's still safe.

 

Anyone order a DF-H doll/body through Dolk, thru Bhiner? I’m thinking to order a slim 1/4 girl body but wanted to know how shipping costs is compared to ordering through Alice Collections? The reason I’d like to get thru Dolk thru Bhiner, they seem to have more resin color option and there’s a 1.0, 2.0 body option (AC doesn’t have it).

 

A bit of a shot in the dark but I would like to match a DF-H new body with a mildly yellowed Leekeworld Michael head. Would it be a compatible match? I'm ok if it isn't a perfect color match but I'll be ok if it's close enough

 

You can mail Alice's and ask for the other skintone or body options you see available elsewhere, ACBJD doesn't always list everything the companies have.

 

I’ve mailed Alice a few times about resin options for DF-H; each time they tell me DF-H doesn’t do that resin color i wish they would just list all the companies they do matches for - make it easy The body at Bhiner seems to be sold out.

If you're willing to send a resin sample and can get a proxy to facilitate it, DF-H offers color matching on non-tan and non-fantasy skintones.
They also have a variety of samples on-hand that they can match to, if you can determine what company's resin your head is closest to to see if they have a sample for it. They sometimes even have samples for specific years, EX Switch RW 2022 (just made that up but they probably have it), etc.

 

How old is the head if I may ask? I have both Leeke Rihael and Mihael heads, old dolls purchased from other members and they have different levels of aged yellowing. I’ve recently purchased and received a DF-H NS yellow body (for a Dollstown head also adopted from the marketplace) which I can compare the Leeke heads to for you if that will help any.

@Thanato-Cat if the first picture is natural light then it looks a similar shade to the Rihael head I have. I will take pictures of both though for you.

The match may not be as good since it won't convey a resin's translucency, but you can take a paint chip sample from home improvement stores that most closely matches your doll's resin and send that in instead.

I've sent multiple headcaps for matching though, and so far so good.

@Thanato-Cat DF-H stopped matching resin colours for customers sometime last year. So, unless they've started doing that again, you can only get resin colours from them that they already have made a match for and know the resin recipe of. They do have a lot of recipes on file, mind you. But that's probably not going to help with your specific problem?

 

They have enough on file that I think sending in a paint chip would get you somewhere close.

@Thanato-Cat sorry about the delay, been feeling a bit rough these last few days but managed to get a comparison photo for you.
I used the head cap from my Leeke Rihael head who I think is a similar age to your Mihael head. It's on the left of the photo.
I also included the Mihael head from the doll I have, not sure of his age but his body is double jointed. He's darker than the Rihael. He's on the right hand side of the photo and again I used his head cap against the DF-H body for better accuracy.

As you can see both heads are darker although the resin of the Rihael head being paler is much closer in shade to the body.
I hope that helps in your search.

@Blodeuwedd Thank you so much for the comparison pictures Your Mihael is gorgeous . I can see the resin difference very clearly. I hope you feel much better now!

 

@Thanato-Cat you’re welcome, it can be so frustrating trying to find suitable bodies. My Rihael head is on a Popodoll 66cm body (/doll-profiles/connor.23691/) which fits great but is a pinker and paler NS resin. I did try to compensate when I did his faceup and that’s why I only used his head cap for the comparison picture.
I’d definitely say that the current DF-H yellow NS is a strong contender if, as you said, a close match is a reasonable option.

I kind of like the faceup on that Mihael head too, it’s the one he came with and although not my personal style the fact that sculpt carries different looks so well is the only reason I haven’t removed it yet.
