Did everyone see the DC update on IG? they're suspending all shipping of products purchased through agents or through the company directly. I can understand why, that's just really unfortunate. Looks like a long waiting time has just been increased.

Weird didn't someone already get their Laney? You'd think they'd send out all orders of a specific production especially one that wasn't too long ago in both marketing, and time frame for ordering it too

I know my post guy has said parcel volume is way higher than usual due to online orders and such, even more than the holidays!

 

My understanding is mail within china is still functioning normally so anyone who ordered through AC will probably be fine. I had AC ship an Impldoll order to me via DHL since DHL isn't halted. It's just China Post and Hong Kong Post that's halted right now (by halted, I mean slow. Japan Post on the other hand is 100% halted, and Korea Post seems to be functioning as normal). I think SF Express, DHL, FedEx, and UPS are still all functioning normally for outbound packages out of the country. Not sure if anyone who ordered from DC direct will get that as an option or not (like to pay for an upgrade to those options to avoid the stall). But I can see why out-of-china dealers wouldn't because the price tag would just be way too hefty.

 

Maybe they send out the limited butterfly version first. I ordered the human version.

 

Now I find that pretty ironic, in a funny way that they'd ship out the complex version over the simple but it's probably magnetic wings onto body. I know that DZ neruga wings were

 

it's a shame but it's understandable. Shipping is getting worse and worse. It's been 2 months and my ACBJD order still hasn't arrived in the UK. We have no idea what's happened to it. It left china and poof... disappeared.

I'm sure that things seem a lot worse than they actually are. It sucks, but it seems that other countries are erring on the side of caution...and money. Its to be expected during these unusual times. Personally, I'd rather not have to pay extra for a doll I already dropped a lot of money on just to get them faster, but then again, that's me.

I'm sure that things will get better. Its just a matter of patience. *optimistic*

What I find personally frustrating with the UK post system at least is that stuff LEAVING the uk is really quick. One week door to door uk to usa this week while usa to uk has been 2 months and nothing. China to uk 2 months, nothing. Even within uk it's slow.
I think they just don't have the staff, but I do wish they'd actually be transparent about it you know? like.. TELL US if there's a problem so we know rather than just being vuage "there might be delays for some services". what services? What sort of delays? I mean come on guys.

Man, I've been waiting for a package from the UK for 6 weeks now. The seller had forgotten to include a set of feet mentioned on the listing (she'd thought it had been put in, I'm not even mad at it). First time the seller shipped, it took 2 weeks. Within the same week I received it she sent the next package.....and yeah. All I have on it is that it was processed through the Langley International Distribution Center. That's it. :/ I hope your package gets in safely.

 

I'm guessing that things going thought USPS (USA) customs are being held long enough to (hopefully) give COVID viruses time to die on any packaging. At least, that's what the news articles I read about USPS were saying a month or so ago.

Of course, I could be wrong. I'm not defending them by any means, I'm just explaining what I read.

Yeah, I had two things ship from the UK recently, one arrived in a week and one has not moved since it left the UK on April 25th I like in Canada.
@daftpatience my Julienne is going to be my current D&D character! She's a friendly necromancer named Joy!
I already made her eyes and arrangements to get her painted
I plan to mod her to have a smiling mouth and to dye her light pink!

 

@daftpatience I don't really have any specific plans for my Julienne, but I couldn't shake how appealing she was before her order event ended. I ordered her on the very last day because of that, and figure either I'll come up with something, or I'll fail and rehome her without too much difficulty.

I only have one more layaway payment before my baby scorpion is paid off...which made me nervous as I realized with everything happening I hadn't made proper plans for them yet but, looks like I'll still have more time before having to worry about what to do with them strange times we're in but it's not like we're strangers to waiting around here!

Normally, I have characters in mind before ordering
That said, I had zero plans but fell in love with the boy scorp, now have him on layaway, and planned a character around him
I want to go in a similar cyperpunk style like the fullset, but I want to have him painted with glow spots, deck him all out in gaudy neon colors

 

for me, Hong Kong & China regular type mail all took about 6 weeks to arrive, Singapore was about a month, and then i got a DHL from China in 2 days from ACBJD. my replacement hands for Fergus that got broken in shipment to me went out 4/16, still not here. roll the dice!

My Julienne I intend to dye jet black. Should be fun.

I'm seriously tempted by the new snail boy, his features are quite similar to Cepholopod but you know... taller, bigger. I fell in love with Ceph's face but when it came down to it I simply couldn't justify the price. But oh that face is so cute.
I've always wanted a green doll chateau, it's such a beautiful colour.

As for when I anticipate stuff to arrive, well I wasn't really expecting Julienne till July/august at the earliest. I kinda figured she could take up to a year so october.
and it looks like that may be the case. But oh well.

 

I just got the answer from the BJDivas about my Laney. They can't really tell anything because of the transport freeze in China. They said that lots of the earlier orders still not come in. Adviced me, to prepare for an 8 month wait. They hope it won't take longer. Me too.

 

Wow. I'm waiting on a package from Hong Kong going on 2.5 months now and still nothing @_@ It said it left Hong Kong and then never updated. It can't be tracked in the US anyway so it's impossible to know if it ever even made it to the US. But I second DHL, I got my package in about a week from DHL from China. It's just the government backed posts that are stalled.

I had a dream last night that BJDivas told us our orders had arrived XD Alas I woke up in such a good mood for all of about 10 seconds before it dawned on me that was a dream. My biggest fear is any parcels getting lost and not just delayed due to the chaos. I trust the companies to store the items until shipping is possible again but for those sitting in warehouses still? Yikes.

Also I don't know if anyone posted it but BJDivas worked out a deal with Doll Chateau to send packages via ferry which usually takes 3-4 months on average. I have no idea at what point orders were switched to this method vs what orders were already sent by air and sitting in a warehouse. It'll be interesting to see which ones arrive first.

 

oh wow. sea option is so slow for intercontinental. i can only hope there is regular transit revived by the time my many sins are ready to ship...

 

All these shipping delays are very worrying I hope no one's orders got lost along the way

 

lost orders are my big concern. I'm okay with waiting so long as i'm kept updated, but i'm really anxious about stuff going missing.

I have three awol parcels atm (not dolls, but doll accessories) which have been months and are likely sitting in customs somewhere, collecting dust. and that makes me nervous because I don't know if they'll be overlooked when things start up again or what.

I don't believe Julienne was even close to being finished cast anyway so that's fine but yeah. I'm not gonna expect her to appear till the end of the year at best.

Still, I suppose the freeze does have an advantage in that it allows me to really curate my wishlist and save up for the things on it lol.

 

USPS has been sending things internationally via sea because of covid, but it seems to be going much faster than 3-4 months, I don't know if it's a different kind of ferrying though. Still, DC's notice was for an indefinite amount of time, and with experts predicting covid sticking around until 2020, that's kinda scary. :\ I guess 3-4 months is better than 2 years...

 

She (Julianne) was though. People who ordered from Alice Collections already report that AC had gotten her in for some orders (even reported on this thread). So she was definitely underway. Hard to say how far they got in orders for her but since she had such a limited order period it's reasonable to assume she could even be done with casting at this point.
I also have packages that are missing in action USPS suspended tracking for certain mail categories (including Hong Kong Registered mail...it requires a signature upon delivery and yet doesn't have a trackable tracking number..that..makes sense..) so once/if it ever hit the US it was never recorded. Even faster EMS packages are getting stuck in customs at the moment. it's rough.

 

On FB, Divas mentioned DC has "finished most" of the juliannes, but there's delays due to the shipping issues for international orders

All the shipping issues makes me hope, for once, that my ceph takes a little longer...I'd rather have the 3 months knowing where he is or knowing he's not made yet, than him be lost in shipping limbo for ocean shipping...

 

I'm excited for my Julianne! ^-^ I can't wait to have her in person!

 

well i ordered via Angelesque and her DC orders always end up extra delayed for some reason. Hence why I was sorta just expecting her to turn up when she turns up.
Thankfully she's not one of my "have a solid idea and can't wait to work on it NOW NOW NOW" dolls so i'm okay waiting. Some waits I find more painful than others and those are the ones you can't wait to just get stuck into you know?

 

I ordered a Julianne through AC too. I hope she comes soon. I usually only buy human dolls, she's my first none human and im really excited to have her!

 

Not gonna lie, getting a bit discouraged. Its been so long I almost dont have inspiration/excitement. Hopefully that will change when they arrive. But with how much I spent and how everything is right now Im sort of feeling meh. I paid the layaway faster than expected and now Im just sort of out money I could really use :/

It doesnt help that my one fullset couldnt have the clothes made, and dc never told bjd what they did to fix that. So she could be nude, or have clothes I dont like. Idk. Im just especially worried there. The others are blank so I hope they wont be a problem.

I have a pinterest board!! But it is allllllll over the place, with only the occasional coherent theme or idea... my original idea was to dye my stuff pure black, but I think I'll need to see him before I know whether that's what will happen. I'm also not absolutely positive I'll keep the dc head I got for the doll (sexta), so we'll see if I end up hybriding!

One year, three months on the body I ordered - with the shipping delays, I'm wondering if I'll hit the two year mark.

Kind of getting to the point where I don't even really want the body anymore, I'm kind of just frustrated with the whole thing.

I've finally got my Blanche replacement hand that was broken during transit after 6 months ^^;. I'm not very fond of her after all this time, but I'll see what will happen after I give her some face up.

I'm still keen to get her but i'm hoping I LOVE her when i see her. I'm kinda trying not to look at pictures in case it dulls my excitement.

Long delays really do not help bonding though do they? That's what happened with my Dream Valley order. One of them I LOVED but the other one who was a bit more of a "omg I love it" impulse then ended up intimidating me too much and after such a long wait i'd psyched myself out of working on him anyway. It was too long, all the doubts and fears crept in to roost.

No idea I ordered during the discontinuation event last year, splitting the head with someone else through a dealer so I'm not sure if they got a faceup or not, but the doll is at least a basic, general body in white resin so I have no idea why it's taken so long.

I ordered another doll from Dollzone right before that (same "factory"), and he took a long time but he finally arrived, so...I dunno.

I get that doll companies often work in batches but I really don't get how wait times can vary so much that one person can wait over a year and other people get their dolls in four months.

 

I have Julianne et Xiaoli on their way from Alice's and Jeeryama... their tracking haven't moved since the 1st of june...

 

I hope you're harrassing them about it because damn, that's not acceptable.

 

I've asked a couple of times, but the dealer has recently moved warehouses and between that and the shipping freeze I think I'm going to stay quiet for a bit and see if I hear back once things settle - if I haven't heard anything by, say, August though, I'll probably poke it again.

 

I made my 6th payment on my Nicola-A fullset, and now I'm reading about all the delays. Disheartening, but I'm still eager to bring my transboy home!

I'm also avoiding looking at pics so I don't get too hopeful. In the meantime, I'm looking around etsy for clothes for the k20 (k11 body with wings) body that he'll come with.

Anyone aware of etsy stores that sell DC boy clothes for Kid sized bodies?

I ordered a Julianne too through Angelesque. It's my very first time ordering with a Dealer and I think I won't do it again ^^u for some personal issues. My order is still in production.
Does anyone know if DollChateau responds to their emails? I contacted them directly but never get a response.

 

And finally Xiaoli has arrived, she was in stock, I had to wait to finish the layaway before she was shipped in may and she is here.
She is lovely, I was in love with her face and still am. The body is amazing but I am really scared of breaking it...

 

I ordered my julianne a few months ago from a representative dealer, and I think straight from company is alittle difficult. They tend to either wait long times before replying if at all or they suddenly throw the language barrier up. Which is difficult on both seller and customer.

 

Saw the #dollchateaujulianne tag on IG finally has some photos of the finished doll blank! I hope we see some fullsets soon while the rest of us continue to wait.
