Hello I just ordered my first ever BJD doll! I have purchased Medusa-B full set from Alice Collections!
I'm very excited!

 

I got an email from BJDivas a few days ago that my Doll Chateau order from February last year is ready to ship. On the one hand, I'm excited to finally get this order home...but I'm really having a hard time being happy about anything right now with all that's going on. I feel guilty for shipping anything right now.

 

Don't feel sorry about USPS shipping things to you. After all, you're preventing them from going on unemployment.

So enjoy your doll...once they get shipped to you.

I agree. Don't feel bad. A lot of people are depending on what packages are going through to support their families. So many being are being temporarily laid off that don't have any savings, living paycheck to paycheck. I don't know the rate of packages currently to normal package transfer rates, but I hope there's plenty to keep the carriers afloat. Order more!

 

Bjdivas emailed me that they rely on USPS pick up. So now it's a matter of waiting for usps.

 

I’m in the same boat, got a tracking number for my Amos and just waiting on pickup

 

More than three weeks ago, Bjdivas wrote to me that my DC order from last year is ready to ship, but because of their moving, I am still waiting for shipping Of course, it’s not their fault

 

No, between them moving and COVID, it seems that patience is needed.

Anyhoo,

i'm still trying to decide on wigs and eyes for my incoming order but she's not likely to get here till like.. October anyway. DC are slooooow.
I elected not to order Cepholopod. I mean I really liked him but ultimately I have too many dolls incoming and not enough space. I need to focus on my crew as it is.
And you never know, there may be another chance later on.
I'd LOVE it if they'd let us order the limited dolls in more colours. White is quite limiting I find, and peach is just another shade of white to my eye. I'd love green or normal or maaan, another tan event!

As soon as they do another tan event (IF) i'm gonna look into ordering Hugh.

 

I must admit, adding things to the waiting list makes me a bit anxious
I'm not expecting my Cepholopod to ship until next year and while the Amos was in stock and got there in Jan, there's been a bit of a battle with the dealer to have it shipped, now with this new current situation, I'm losing hope it'll come to me any time soon

 

Don't lose hope! Everything's crazy now but things are still happening, it'll just take a while. I ordered something through Amazon yesterday, I have Prime and the availability of same-day delivery where I am. The estimated delivery is April 18th. 3 weeks is definitely longer than same day, but it's not too bad.

I love DC's green. Some day i'll order a doll in green heh. It's such a pretty colour.

 

Got an update on my shipment from BJDivas! Tracking says she should be here tomorrow (I'm not holding my breath) but I am excited to see some movement in the tracking.

 

I'm still waiting on a mini Bella I ordered from February 2019. I see some people who ordered at a similar time received a notice of a shipment coming in, sure hope I'm next on that. I'm getting a bit antsy. I've never had to wait this long for a doll before. :P Now corona is here and making things even more difficult.

 

@QuietYurei I hope you get your shipping notice soon. I know its hard to wait, this Doll Chateau order is the longest I've had to wait for a doll (so far) and it's been rough. All the other times I've ordered from DC my orders came through in about 6 months or so. I know its especially tough now, with everything that's going on, both on the shipping side and the waiting side. Fingers crossed for you!

 

After an incident that left my amos sitting at the dealer since the end of Jan, he’s finally on his way to me

 

Remember, COVID 19 can still be active for at least 24 hours on cardboard, so if you don't quarantine your doll for at least that long, use gloves to handle your doll box and inner box, and then wash your hands for at least 20 seconds!

Personally, I'd quarantine for at least 48 hours, use gloves and wash my hands and the doll. And congrats on your incoming dolls.

It's actually at most 24 hours on cardboard, and at most 72 hours on plastics. So honestly, if you want to be extra cautious, you'll still be fine after the 24 hour mark, since it's unlikely that anyone's touched the interior of the box during that 72 hour period (unless customs handled it and was particularly quick about getting it to you after that).

Definitely wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, though!

 

Well, considering that I'm getting pretty close to 60, I think I'm going to choose to be "better safe than sorry."

And don't worry, I wash my hands properly. (Disabled Paramedic here! (^_^)/ )

I've already been waiting since November 2018 and January 2019 for my two orders...this whole corona thing has just about sealed that I'm gonna be doing another couple of Earth's rotations before seeing my girls :')

Of course with everything going on, they're pretty low on my priority list, but given that it's been over a year....and I'd already been antsy....oof

 

My order arrived today. No broken parts, which I am thankful for. The body (Y-Body-06) and Evangeline head I ordered had some odd marks/spots right out of the box, but nothing that wasn't cleaned up by a magic eraser. I'm happy that my wait is over, 14 months is a long time but I still feel like it was worth it. Too much has changed since I placed my order, so she's currently just a "pretty thing" sitting on my desk. I'm hopeful though that in the next few months the world calms down and I can find a character for her.

Fun fact - the Doll Chateau Susan full set outfit partially fits the Y-Body-06. The bloomers went on without any trouble, and the skirt, while it is completely open in the back, does go all the way around her waist and the cloak hides the gaping quite nicely. congratulations on your arrival! i feel your situation, i'm still struggling with renaming & naming in general for a bunch of mine, i hope you get a chance to reinvent her soon . the outfit looks like it was a great fit and i really like the flower headpiece on her!

 

I've been already waiting for 13 months for Elsia and Elizabeth body, and recently ordered Colin head DC is one of my favourite doll companies

 

Wow. Forteen months looks like avarage nowadays... Too bad I just ordered my girl 2019 december. Jeez. That's a wait time... My layaway will over next month, but still. At least I have time to save up for the price of the costums...
Oh and congrats for those who have they orders after the long wait!

 

Two days ago I got a message from Jeeryama, she said now DC processing shipping for orders made in July 2019. Her assumption that producing period now is about 8-9 months. I asked if she expected some delays due covid problem, she is avoid my question. Really wanna hope that everything will end soon.

I emailed bjdivas, apparently part of my order is here so I'm having that shipped. One is my roommate's body, she's essential personnel, so I think it will be a nice surprise for her. The other is my green Landa. For some reason her clothes didn't come yet, weird.

 

I ordered doll chateau Charon in November 2018 from BJDivas and still have not received her... It doesn’t help that this was my first order with them so I was already unsure of how it would go.

 

@Scarredkitty, try emailing them and asking about your order. Be sure to add your order number in the email so they can research it. From what I understand, DC is pretty slow with orders, and BJDivas just moved shop pretty recently as well.

I got some pretty excellent news from BJDivas~! Both my Charon (from 11/18) and my Snow Nymph head (01/19) have arrived

 

If you're emailing bjdivas, just be aware they are really backed up on answering between moving and everything else. It took them about a week to respond to my inquiry. Don't keep emailing them, that will just push you further away from the top of the list.

 

so i also have some things ordered with bjdivas, but nothing has actually shipped to me yet, long production times, layaway all the normal things, no issues there. But, I think possibly my Hathaway should be there soon, plus maybe one other faster production item.

For those of you that have recently gotten ship notice, do you have to email to find out, or do they email you and expect a response before your item ships? Or the package is sent out and you get an email with the tracking already in progress? i'd love to know what the norm is so i'm prepared, if anyone would like to share their experience. thanks!

 

@Grimalkin In my experience, they send me something about the doll being ready, generally will verify my address, and ask about insurance before sending an invoice for the shipping cost. Sometime later, I get the tracking number but generally it takes a few days from the label being printed to USPS picking up the package. Lately, though, USPS has been taking a lot longer to do pickups

That said, we do our communications through facebook as we'd been running into issues of emails getting lost, so it may vary a bit with email correspondence than message based

i didn't want to clog up the works with additional questions and emails with what i'm sure is already a stressful time.

 

My most recent emails with BJDivas took 3 days to be answered, but happily my DC order is indeed here and ready to ship. I ordered a Barbara and Snow Nymph helmet on February 24, 2019 via 12 month layaway. I'll update again once she arrives.

I emailed them, but I've had email issues and work has been insane so I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything.

 

@Grimalkin I actually emailed them first, because I hadn't done so in several months and kind of wanted to touch base. I actually didn't expect my dolls to be in, I just wanted to know if any orders with the same sculpt had been received so I could maybe understand how DC did their batches. I heard back within a couple days...I guess I got lucky on all counts.

 

thank you @Calico & @nissi_nirvani - i appreciate you sharing your experiences too. i think i will wait about a week to email again, so it's about a month since the last time. just to give a little space, i know moving is really difficult, and especially under the most recent circumstances. my order is a little weird since it was already sort of on the way, so i don't know the true order date, only when i placed my own order. makes estimating a bit tough thanks for everyone's kind comments.

 

My Julianne has arrived at Alice's collection, but since international mail is more or less stopped at the moment, i'll have to wait.
I don't mind and hope everyone will stay safe until then...

Added the Snowborn head I ordered. He has such a wonderfully doofy face and I knew I'd regret it if I let him get discontinued without snagging him. I half expect to have forgotten him by the time he arrives, but I'm not in a hurry and I know he'll be on his way eventually.

They sent my order a few days ago, so I guess it just got in before the cutoff? An extra wait doesn't bother me though. The mail facility here just re-opened a day or two ago.

 

Alice has made an annoucement yesterday on her website, air mail shipping has been temporarily stopped to many countries.

 

Oh my lord, guys, i see some of you are having your Juliannes "soon"?! :O Are they getting finished by now? Does anyone know about the New Noahs? I ordered a blank Julianne and a fullset Noah V2 and i'm super curious to when they might be finished! not impatient by now, just curious haha

 

I keep seeing a back and forth of “email vs don’t email about orders”, so just wanted some input before I decided to try emailing lol, I ordered an Elizabeth with blushing/face up via BJDivas back in January 2019 (layaway paid off in June 2019), I emailed them back in October 2019 to check on my order but she hadn’t arrived yet. I’m wondering if I should keep waiting or email about the status of my girl?

I don’t wanna cause more of an email backlog, and obviously with the COVID-19 situation I’m trying to be patient as safety is the most important thing atm, but I am a little anxious to know about my Elizabeth’s status

 

I'm waiting on an order through them from another company, and I've been taking the route of sending them a message about once a month just to check in. It sometimes takes a couple of days for them to get back to it, but it doesn't seem like it's overwhelming. If it's been that long since you checked in, I think you'd be okay to send a quick note just saying you're checking in again.

 

I ordered my very first DC fullset doll back in January, with a 9 month layaway through BJDivas. I knew that I'd have quite the wait on my hands, so I'm not in any hurry to get my Nicola.

Ooh, Julianne hype! I ordered her fullset so I doubt mine's shipped yet due to the extra work needed to prepare fullsets but I'll be happy to see others' arrivals!
