i have a DZ item in the same boat but different part. will interesting to see how long they take to send replacements. not holding my breath... maybe you can make a prosthetic out of apoxie

 

I got my Hathaway body from the renewal sale they had. My vendor was Christina/jeeryama, of course!

@EchoUndine Hello again!! This was awhile ago, but Christina was able to get me some regular feet for my Evangeline in gray. I just had to pay for the gray resin color and wait on DC to make them. I hope that there will be a spare hand that they have laying around, so that you don't have to wait any longer!

 

I guess I'm joining up this room since the order's officially in place now. I waffled back and forth for a long time on ordering a Julianne, and decided at literally the last minute that it was better to order her and decide farther down the road if she wasn't for me than to miss the opportunity and realize I did really want her! She's on a very long layaway since I know DC wait times are long and I wasn't planning on ordering another doll so soon after my last order.

 

Julienne is so cute I'm so excited for mine! I've been dreaming up outfits since I placed the order

 

I'm excited to see what you do with her! I'm not quite sure what mine will be yet, but I think she'll be fun to design, she's so adorable and weird.

 

Grimalkin: gosh, I know, right? I think I'll just let her fingerless until I get the replacement, I still have a bunch of dolls to paint and to sew for before I can actually take care of her anyway, so... yeah, that's fine.

Honestly I've got a doll from DZ with a broken piece before and, if I recall correctly, I did receive the replacement after a month or so... I guess?
Ok, no, I can't remember it at all, I'll try to track this info down from my records, but I think that the actual time may vary from time to time.

AHHHHHH! I've been informed my Pluto doll has finally arrived at the dealers so will most likely receive it in the next couple of days!

But yeah, kinda glad that i'm not normally a fan of DC dolls as that wait was far too long for my personal tolerance. Unless they do a doll that totally blows me away, I will not be buying from them again.

 

I ordered from the discontinuation event last year, and put down a long layaway on BJDivas. I was sad that a lot of the unique sculpts for 1/4 dolls were going away.

My heads were finished after 10 months, but my body still hasn't been finished. So now I'm waiting in here, too.

 

I'm waiting on a head from the discontinuation myself, it's...been a long time :')

 

I just got my discontinuation shipping notice from BJDivas.

They said that they've gotten another shipment with DZ, so have hope!

 

Just got a shipping notice from DDE yesterday afternoon! He should be here Friday! :0

 

My Charon is now at the dealer so once I'm invoiced for shipping/insurance she'll finally be on her way home! Funny how the last few months of waiting were the worst part of the year wait. But now I can be done waiting.

 

So i just got a ship notice for my Noah ordered in September through jeeryama/clover singing. Maybe because there was a huge run produced? the rest of my order isn't ready yet, so we will see but i will be glad to see my little deer boy soon!

 

My Pluto has finally arrived! I didn't do an unboxing as the light levels were so poor but couldn't resist taking this photo of her wrapped up as it looked so silly XD

From the DZ instagram it looks like there will be a new Doll Chateau girl with wings and stomach hole, and I'm very close to rejoining the wait for another DC doll! She's officially announced this week I think? I feel I should wait for my jointed hands to come in before ordering any more dc dolls.

 

is that a face inside the stomach hole? the second picture cuts off a little, but... maybe? i do like those metal wings...

 

There's a white thing with what looks like a pane in front of it? so perhaps a Victorian death mask style thing? Considering the third picture has the word Death on it and she seems to be on a butterfly mount.

 

If she’s 1/3 I’m in danger.

 

Finally received my Charon today. She's lovely and well worth the wait though the stringing on her legs is a little loose and I'm a bit intimidated to try and work out her stringing enough to tighten it.
Anyway she was ordered/put on layaway December 1st 2018, arrived at the dealer's on December 11 2019, shipped out to me and would have arrived yesterday December 16 2019 if not for a hold up with the post office.
So all in all, just over a year waiting time, not sure that I'll be ordering DC again any time soon unless their turn around time gets a little better, as much as I love the dolls, if it hadn't been for the long layaway, I don't think I could handle another wait this long.

 

The 4 blank heads I ordered in February still aren’t here and tbh I’m not expecting them to come anytime soon.

Maybe don't give up hope... i think something has changed for the better.
I got notices for all my September 2019 DC order shipping, except the extra hands. Granted, i think a lot of Noah were made, so that was probably a big casting run. the other full doll was Fergus, and i'm unsure how popular he might be, since he's a bit of an odd duck. the last is a body for a head i already have (mephisto.pheles). i was floored.
the new lady Death is very tempting. but i need to focus on what sins i've already committed
but maybe this is a turning point for casting times.

 

I keep getting excited hearing about the shipping notices! I hope mine comes soon too... But maybe not *too soon* I'm so nervous about anything shipping around Christmas.

I noticed they listed the scorpion girls among their "in stock" dolls for the event feat. Laney....am I weird for feeling a little slighted that they're doing that, considering I am (and I'm sure others are) still waiting for ours to ship out :s

 

Those are probably canceled orders? A friend of mine, who went from being a small business owner to... well, the opposite of that shall we say :P, told me about how the opportunity cost of simply using a canceled order to fulfill another order that happens to have the same specs really skyrockets the larger the business is. So maybe that's why they're doing that?

 

Oh it wouldn't bother me at all if they were just listing cancelled orders eventually, it's the fact it's been over a year since I ordered, without any news...and then someone who just happens to order bc the doll is "in stock" could have theirs shipped and in before I hear anything about mine.

 

@Calico - so i was checking out the sale flyer on DC's site directly, in the "news" section, and they say they have Pluto and Charon dolls in stock right now. I think you would not be amiss in checking with your dealer about your order status. if all the dealers got large orders in recently, they may be sorting through everything. as i understand it, the boxes are not marked individually, just one long manifest sheet. so they have to open everything and match to their internal orders. i've been waffling about contacting mine about the last outstanding PIF order I have, for Mephisto's antlers...

 

@Grimalkin You might be on the money with that suggestion. I will wait until the holidays have blown over, as I'm sure they'd like the break and not much will be getting done in the next week or so, but I do think I'll get in touch with them to see what's up. Fingers crossed!

 

Hey y’all! I’m gonna pop on in here since I ordered a fullset Julianne last month. I can’t wait to dress her up, but it seems like she’ll have a wait I simply haven’t experienced yet. I’ve admired DC dolls for eons and her amazed face was just my style.

 

Julianne is so cool I was very tempted by that one! I hope you will share pictures when she arrives.

 

I definitely will! In fact; I may share multiple since I plan on getting her PLENTY of outfits. I’ve never had a fullset doll, so I’m not entirely sure how I’ll feel about not painting her myself / having a friend paint her.

 

I have my order! But... I can't open it until I get home from work.

 

I join the waiting room. I just begin a layaway on BJDivas for my second doll, Laney in white on y-body-06. I am so excited, I can scream and jump. But it's better I stay quiet, because it's still very early morning in here and everybody sleeping. I just afraid of the looong waiting. I choose the six months layaway, why hurry if the waiting is so long. The best part is, that I get a fullset Munin with her. I adore that ghostcat for so long! Hurray for the Christmas events!

 

Just popping by to say I got my replacement leg piece a few days ago for my Sexta I got back in September. I'd almost forgotten but it's so nice to have him perfect now! AC is so helpful and lovely to deal with!

Also I'm gld to hear BjDivas got a huge shipment in and lots of people are getting their dolls!

Oh and I brought some Christmas cookies! Happy Holidays!

 

Looks like the discontinuation stuff is rolling in (EDIT: for BJDivas; I forgot to mention which dealer I was using lol) I got confirmation that my Sexta head and Mephisto.philes antlers came in. They didn't see the a-body-04, but they also weren't done processing their most revent arrivals (as of dec 28th).

This is a weird order for me- it's a combination of random DC items I've always liked, but I wasn't really "ready" to commit to having them when they were being discontinued (hence the 1 year layaway). Now that the stuff should be here soon, I need to retroactively get pumped for it!

Oh, and @StrawberriBuni - Julianne ALMOST got me... I need to see lots of pictures of her!!!

 

I finished my layaway on Fuya but she's still not ready? I've been keeping in contact with bjdivas and they said that DC told them she would be shipped by late Nov early Dec but no new news. Anyone else heard anything new?

 

@honchodolls DC is pretty all over the place right now. Divas said a bit before the holidays that they got a massive massive shipment in, I don't think they've gotten totally through everything in it, yet. I would ask, but since the holidays happened, it might be a bit before there's an answer as they likely have a lot of messages to get through

 

@honchodolls I haven't heard anything new from BJDivas other than their December post in this thread, but I'm chomping at the bit to ask. I finished my layaway back in July and while part of my order came in, I'm still waiting on the Y-Body-06 I ordered. I think NamelessPierrot has the right of it though, I think they're kind of being bombarded with both unorganized shipments from Doll Chateau and questions about order status right now... so I'm trying to just put it out of my mind.

Some of the shipments have gone out. I got mine, but there ended up being an issue with the order, so I'm waiting to hear back from them. (Once they hear back from DC)

 

I received my Noah, Fergus and the A-body-03 that is for my Mephisto.Pheles.
Fergus had a broken hand, and the A-Body-03 a weird knee peanut, but my broker is wonderful and will take care of me.
Has anyone else gotten an SD sized DC recently? Did you have the black foam like this or the suede bags? My Noah was in the suede bag though.

Congrats, @Grimalkin ! They look great, and I love Seffy's robe! I think the colorful bags were common, now and/or in the past, because I've seen them for sale on the marketplace. I wonder which I'll get! I'm getting an SD body (plus head... no idea if they'll combine them into one body or pack them separately) so I'll let you know.

It's concerning to see there's some breakage and order problems! Hope you guys can get it resolved quickly!

@Xila - thanks, I bought that robe for Hathaway, but i think Seffy's appropriated it for himself now... he is so delicate, i'm so glad he had no flaws. i'm not sure what wig yet, but i'm thinking a very pale blue grey, or silver.

the other things are minor, and I'm sure they will help me. I had to get replacement calves for a DZ doll because of chipping as well so it's not uncommon i suppose. resolution was very fast for that, so i'm sure it will be fine.
for now, i have some extra skeleton hands so i think Caspian will get a monster hand for a bit... heh

I'm interested to see if you get the foam type packaging. I've only had the suede bags from DC so far until this order. I was thinking they might have changed the packaging trying to avoid damage.

 

For those waiting for their orders from us, we apologize for the lack of news, and we're deeply grateful for your patience and understanding. The boxes continue to come in, without shipping manifests and labels, so we're quite inundated. It's about a year's worth of orders in one month. Prior to confirming that your order is here however, we simply don't know what the status is, because DC/DZ doesn't give us those kinds of updates.

I got the amazed face in white skin! I totally hear you on the pink thing, if she came in a pink resin I definitely would’ve ordered a blank doll.

I'm excited that orders are showing up at BJDivas! I ordered a Barbara and a Snow Nymph helmet last February and it's been quite the wait. Not my longest doll wait, but still... I'm hoping and praying that my stuff are somewhere in the shipments. I am itching to play with dolls again!

 

My Xaviera arrived Monday in wonderful condition she had no mold grease or anything
I haven’t had a chance to take any pictures since I have a pretty impressive cold at the moment however I hope to post pictures as soon as I can
She’s everything I hoped she would be and I can’t to feel better and have the right kind of weather to do her face up

 

Out of curiosity how long did you wait for her? I still haven't heard a word about mine, heh. I'll look forward to your pictures then, she is definitely one of the cutest dolls I've ever seen.

Gah I feel so impatient hoping I'll see mine before Feb but don't expect it as it ends up a full set I ordered can't be made. So that probs means most of mine hasn't shipped unless it comes in batches (which may happen with the weird bd orders of random)
