Doll Chateau Waiting Room v.7

Sep 21, 2019

    1. i really want her, but i'm already hip deep in DC wait list, plus well, DV and switch. but she is soooo interesting, and i don't have but one girl so that's saying a lot... argh waffling...

    2. I was told Fuya should be here soon and I really want Julianne but I have a one layaway at a time rule for myself... Hopefully Fuya is done before she's gone. Does anyone know when the cuttoff for ordering is?

    3. The blank Fuya I have is beautiful...easily my favorite impulse buy, ever...I imagine your full-set will be amazing!

    4. I'm super excited it's been a long wait! I'd love to see any pictures you have of her, even if she's blank

      • x 1
    5. I'm glad the wait is almost over!

I did take some pictures when she first arrived...I hope my link does what it's supposed to do, here, because I can't figure out how to post pictures directly.

She came with fancy packaging...heart shaped pink bubble wrap...the works. :)

    6. I placed a Julianne order on Halloween and got layway confirmation from BJDivas yesterday. Not normally a fan of skeletal dolls, but she's so freakin' adorable (instead of gory?), I couldn't stand it. Plus, she's the right size for my collection. Already planning an aesthetic - ordered the amazed face.

    7. I forgot to say my boy and antlers arrived safely!
I grossly underestimated the antler size, but have another idea to make them still part of him. There's a very small chip out of one of his pointer fingers where it meets the palm, but it's not visible and just makes that finger a little looser. Another pair is coming later and it's such a small piece so I'm not really upset.
I was a little worried about the painting quality but he seems fine? But then it's a basic job they've done multiple times before unlike the limited dolls.
      [IMG][IMG]
He's such a darling boy already and I can't wait till I get him dressed!

    8. Just ordered a blank ws Julianne, I love her blank head and body, i could only resist 4 days and i now have to find her some human feet and smaller horns...

      • x 1
    9. @devilsandswords - he looks great! maybe you can remove the center and larger sections of the antlers and connect from sections #2-3 to a spare head cap to fit him better? is that k-body-12?

i found a Clemans in stock at a dealer for half off, so i'm waiting for a mer-man with all the mer-maid folks now :)

@honchodolls - looks like ordering through 11-30-2019 for Julianne, pretty short window.

    10. @Grimalkin Yes the body is K-12. It was listed on Angelesque as K-11 so I thought that was the name. I could do, but I was planning to make him a chair with it as a sort of backrest. I always knew it was going to be too big for him, but even though there's only about 2-3cm difference in the diameter of his head and the 1/3 heads, it's a very big difference. I'll have a play around with them at some point.

      • x 1
    11. @Skimo Where would you find human feet for Julianne? I'm genuinely curious, because although I like the hooves, I might want to swap out for human sometimes. I too have plans for different horns, but I'm going to try sculpting and printing them. Not sure on the shape yet, but her current horns look like arms to me, so I want to have smoother options.

    12. That's actually perfect, I get paid on the 15th so I still have time :XD: thanks for the info!

      • x 1
    13. I don't know yet, but i'll search anyway, doll chateau heeled feet from tiny Bella body are an option. Maybe dollmore?

      • x 1
    14. I probably did something I shouldn't, and even though I am waiting on the orginal fullsets for Noah and Ryan, I ordered their new versions, though the Ryan is for my sister she will be paying me back, I have warned her it might take up to a year, as things as going to receive him, but she is prepared for the wait... she hasn't ordered a doll before soooooo we'll see how long that patience takes XD, but they are super pretty, I have told myself no more dolls now until I have finished the ones i have

      • x 1
    15. that's my mantra lately as well
such a slippery slope, you're waiting and sort of out of sight out of mind how many things you've got in the pipeline, and whoops another order, well it *is* in stock after all... or well, i mean they need underpants at least...
sad thing is, i need another body or two for floating heads maybe gonna wait. :doh
i think my Clemans is gonna be a scary take on mer-peeps.

Heeled feets: Dream Valley has some but not sure if right size for J. Maybe Aimerai too. Dollzone was getting more difficult to get parts if you don't order a doll. i like the DC ones where the toe box is lil skulls though. are they discontinued? your dealer might could add to the order for you.
@ohsi i spy a lorikeet, is it yours?

Hello to folks who recently got something from DC, i got a Q: did your little metal card have an engraved picture of the doll you bought, or a different doll? I got my Mephisto.Pheles but the little metal card had a stylized Douglas. The envelope has a drawing and a square QR code scan bar, which i believe contains info about the doll you bought. does the typical app that reads QR's for marketing work on the DC squares? I've never installed that type of app on my phone.

    16. @Grimalkin While I love lorikeets, I don't think I could ever raise one (just having a duck is enough, lol)! This particular lorikeet has a home in the Nashville, Tennessee Zoo - I took the picture a while back on a visit.

    17. Anyone order from BJDivas early in the year who has gotten an order? I'm still waiting on one in February and one in April. Trying to be patient but it's beginning to be a drag.

      • x 1
    18. @QuietYurei - I ordered in February, and part of my order has now made it to BJDivas (a blank Snow Nymph head) but the other head and body I ordered are still MIA. I'm not sure what the process flow or plan is over at Doll Chateau, but at this point I'm not expecting my order to come in before the end of the year.

      • x 1
    19. I ordered beginning of March, from BJDivas a blank Elizabeth spider body and Nikita head and a blank iIsabel. They were able to ship me the spider body but I'm still waiting for Isabel. I really hope she gets here before the new year. My plans have already been changed waiting so long is definitely challenging.

    20. Honestly I’ve been really surprised when I ordered my Elizabeth from alices collections it only took four months now I’m waiting on my spider sheep and it’s been over eight months now
I had really thought the Elizabeth doll would take forever and the spider sheep would be much shorter since she was a limited order time oh well I’m also hoping she gets here before the new year I really don’t want her shipping during the holidays since the chance of a package getting stollen during that time is so high

    21. Actually it's only been barely seven months for Xaviera. She was announced in April. I'm waiting on my own so I've been keeping track. Given seven months is the average I hope she arrives this month. Knowing DC has been swamped as of late I wouldn't be surprised if it did take a bit longer, but so far they're on "schedule" in regards to the spider sheep. :3nodding:

    22. I waited 8 months for a blank Elizabeth body, so heart breaking knowing she only took 4 months from Alice collections, that's double the time. Now my blank Isabel is going on 9 months. Either BJDivas is last on the DC long list or DC ships to US last in my opinion.

    23. Earlier in the thread others have said that they waited just as long from Alice's, it seems that the 4 months is an anomaly especially in recent times.

    24. I hate receiving dolls this time of year too, always makes me nervous, think I'll ask for insurance/signature on mine from BJDivas if they come in around Christmas time.

    25. This time of the year, I have nearly everything shipped to my parent's house because of just that. Their driveway is long enough no one can see packages left by the door and my mother is usually home anyway.

    26. Woo! After nearly a year would have been a year December/January so 10 to 11 months, my Noah and Ryan fullsets are finally being shipped to the dealer.... I hope, last time I was told an item was shipped to them and had to wait a further 4 months XD because it wasn't, but fingers crossed I'll have them soon,

    27. Hello! I just ordered Alan on the Elf/Centaur body and am settling in for the long wait. Really excited, DC was one of the companies I fell in love with and I'm so happy that I finally have a chance to bring one home.

    28. Has anyone had dolls from the DC discontinuation arrive yet? Mine are from BJDivas and Im almost done with rhe layaway. I cant wait ;u;

Only prob is I might be moving out of state at the start of next year, so I really hope they can come before then or I might have to add tax? (Idk if they do that, Im in oregon and we dont have sales tax, so to move to one with it may be different?) If not I can change my shipping when bjdivas gets them in I guess :)

    29. My Adrian is finally home.
He came without a brand box and with their new COA, but I don't care anymore. After reading that initiation text on the back of DC card ("Amid many thousands of people, you and I became close... etc.") I was touched almost to tears.
I cannot release the head from my hands all day long since he arrived, keep staring how changeable and infinitely attractive his face lines are. What a heavy and sweet obsession; I had never felt something like this towards the DOLL... :doh

      BTW,

    30. Me and a friend's joint DDE order of a b07 body and a DC elizabeth spider shipped today!!! :D
We ordered in early march; about a 9 month wait. We'll see how the order looks when they arrive. :eusa_pray

    31. Really excited, I got conformation my Bella boy has been shipped ^.^ I've been waiting since June, so thankfully I didnt have to wait long.

      • x 2
    32. That shouldn't make a difference. Tax is for where you were when you bought it, even on layaway that doesn't change. The shipping might change though, that's all.

    33. @Nata-eslava congrats he is beautiful! i know what you mean, i could not set down Mephisto for quite a while too!
it's exciting to see shipments coming out... please keep feeding us pictures as they arrive!

kind of an odd question, but can any of you get to doll chateau's (or DZ's for that matter) website? been unable to get them to load for a few days now by wi-fi or lte.

    34. @Grimalkin I just tried to load them both on mobile with no luck. I think this happened once before with a few of the popular overseas company's sites like DZ, luts, peaks woods etc... Not sure what caused it then either but they all came back a day or two later. :nowords:

    35. My DC discontinuation order is ready to ship. I only ordered a couple heads and tinies. :)

    36. Congratulations Bristol! Out of curiosity, did you order directly through Doll Chateau or did you use a dealer?

    37. Aaah! I got a shipping notice from Octarine for my Xaviera! My Grail is finally coming home! :chibi

    38. Woo my Ryan and Noah FS is being delivered tomorrow ^^ I will try and make a unboxing post, but for now I just have pictures of their massive boxes being collected XD

      • x 4
    39. I ordered through BJDivas. My order bits were in the big shipment they had to process. :chomp:

I was wondering if the length of time would've been longer if I had ordered anything over a full tinies and heads though.

    40. [IMG]

He's here :3 A little greasy but otherwise perfect ❤

    42. Ahh, all these pretty dolls coming in. Hope the rest of us aren't far behind. :)

    43. all so pretty! thank you all for the pictures! ooo that delicate skeleton on Noah... i didn't know they put it on his chest and arms!!! i've only seen the one on the back!

    44. That one was Ryan ^^ Noah is just the bones on his back but they are really cool, the only thing is the paint on Noah chips really easily, and his horns dont stay in place with the wig on XD

    45. ahhhhh. i didn't look too closely at Ryan's stock photos because of his overall pink colour scheme and i liked Noah's deer body more. i do like that blushing though! like a white tattoo.
i've got a blank Noah coming, and was jealous of the full set painting. that's too bad it's chipping easily. i figured i would have to tailor holes into a wig and possibly add more rare earth magnets inside/outside the head cap for the size of those antlers.

    46. Yeah they sent extra magnets to help keep them in place, and i will probably make a hole for them to slot into, but the paint is really nice, I am liking Ryan more ^^ and congratulations on the blank ^^

    47. Of course once I get a shipping notice my country has a major Postal Service strike. I'm so worried that my doll is going to get lost.
It's a Xaviera too so if it gets lost I'm not going to get a replacement since it's a Limited doll (and my grail...) :(
I've checked the tracking every day but it hasn't updated which only fuels my worries. This is the worst!

    48. @IttyBittySpider - sending you hope & good thoughts that your little spider makes it home! :spider:<3:spider:<3:spider:

    49. :dance TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR WAIT ANNIVERSARY!!!:dance Come celebrate with me! :XD:

Contacted my dealer as they just had a DC shipment in but it didn't include my doll (+ two others dolls ordered last November). So with the disruption of the Holiday season coming up, i'm not hopeful I'll get my doll before the end of this year, :frownyblush:

    52. Heya! I'm still waiting on a green Barbara I ordered in March. So 8 months waiting, I wonder has anyone got their Barbara from the D/C event?
I just got though an 18 month wait on a dollshe girl. I hope it will not take doll chateau that long!!
(Also I'm in a split w/ @QuietYurei - hi! And I did order a new little grey body for the head that was a bit later though.)

    53. Hi all! Just wanted to give everyone an update about DC/DZ wait times! It appears that the measures DC/DZ took to shorten production times are paying off. In these recent weeks, they'll have shipped us 35-40 big boxes of dolls/heads/accessories/etc. :aeyepop: In contrast, usually once a month they ship at most 11 boxes.

This is of course great news, but what it also unfortunately means is that we'll be buried in boxes. :sweat Usually, we accommodate an expected steady stream of incoming shipments, but now we're quite literally being inundated with shipments from DC. We're working as fast as we can to send your dolls home, but as usual DC/DZ doesn't give us a shipping manifest nor labels the boxes, so we have to check everything for sculpt identification in addition to the usual damage check.

If you stop hearing from us suddenly, it's likely that we accidentally mailed ourselves to you instead of your dolls. In this event, please simply mail us back to our groupmates so we can continue sending home your dolls. :XD:

      • x 16
    54. oh yaaas! that is the kind of news we like to hear! and if you get mailed here we'll treat you to dinner and then send ya back <3

    55. So... I've got my Blanche yesterday after 9 months of wait and she's beautiful, however unfortunately she came with a broken finger.
She must had a pretty rough shipping trip since she arrived with an arm bent over her head and the bubble wrap around her hand almost undone.

The weird thing was that the missing finger was nowhere to be found in her box .-.''. Oh, well, that's ok though, I've already wrote to Christina to get a replacement, I just hope it'll not take ages to arrive ^-^.

    56. This is wonderful news! I was just debating whether or not to email asking if there were any updates.
If you get sent my way by mistake we can play dollies before sending you home. Try not to get yourselves buried too deep.

      • x 1
    57. That is fantastic news for us! Don't get buried under those boxes either, we'll never find you!

    58. A bit late on updating, but- the order a friend and I placed in early March arrived on the 21st of November, so 9 months! It was a DC Elizabeth and a BBody07 for me, both blank, via DDE. :celebrate

    59. After half a month of my doll being stuck somewhere in the postal system with a tracking code that didn't update... she finally found he way home! :chibi
I'm so relieved, I was sure I had lost my grail.

Good luck to any other people waiting for their Xavieras, may the rest of your wait be less intense than my postal problems.

Edit: I was too in awe of my doll I forgot to mention. No mold-release grease anywhere on her. I know a lot of people here have discussed this issue so I figured I'd mention my status on that. Only flaw if I could call it that is she is veeery kicky... or punchy (?) since it's mainly her arms. I know that's generally just how DC strings their dolls so I'm not surprised.

    60. Hiii :) today I am leaving this waiting room (lets see for how long). I just received my Xaviera. She was ordered in April through Alice, so people who ordered around that time hopefully will have their dolls soon:3nodding: My Xaviera is bit loose when it comes to strings... no mold-relese as well :)
