Doll Chateau Waiting Room v.7

I have requested a layaway for Eunice from AC. Been eyeing her for a while and figured getting her in moon white would be interesting. I'm also getting her outfit since dressing that body is so difficult (reckon the wings will make it even harder). But she's otherwise blank.

 

I'm joining you guys! Ordered a fullset Enoch in moon white skin because I fell in love with that resin colour. It looks vaguely grey to me so I'm very interested in seeing it in person! This will be my first Doll Chateau doll so I'm pretty excited to see him.

 

Awesome! Just got a message that my Cecile will be shipped within two or three days! Isn't that great news guys?!! Fullset wait time was 6 months.

 

AC just sent me an email saying that my order is ready! I’m so happy rn!! I actually thought it would take longer to cast, but here we are I guess

 

My first doll arrived a few days ago! I ordered Violet (blank) from Alice's Collections on 17th February, can't wait to try and do her face up, but can't decide what to do

 

Just put a little DC Lillian on layaway with DDE. I sold mine a few years ago and have regretted it since so I will be very happy to have one again.

 

Just scooped up a Eudes fullset. Hopefully its not a six month wait this time. :O

 

Hi ! I,m so excited. I ordered Cecilia full set from Alices collector.

 

They’re on layaway but ordered Kyra and Tanya full sets for my very first dolls!

I do have a question though, when you put preorders on layaway, does that extend the usual wait time for dolls or is it the same amount of time (in line with how long it usually is to wait?)

 

@Nekoite If you ordered through a dealer the wait time should be the same, because they order the dolls after first payment. Some companies who offer layaway directly only start producing the dolls after they're paid for in full. Not sure about ordering from DC directly though.

 

I've been waiting forever to get another "bug" type doll and finally ordered a blank Charon from BJDivas so now the waiting game starts

 

Due to sleepiness and general impatience, I ordered Club and Heart and they shipped today!

Originally, I believed them to be the full sets and in the morning, realized they were blank (don’t order dolls while on the verge of passing out, folks!) but I’ve taken this in stride and it’s going to be a fun time doing my own face-up and having a doll to bring when going out running errands and the like! (Also to tide me over from ordering other dolls!)

 

I can't believe tha I forgot to post that my Nicola-A transboy came home, way back in April! Here's a pic of how Vhei-wen looks currently, and a link to his boxopening.

He's a Padawan (Jedi in training). I adore his wings, but they make making him his Jedi outfit an...interesting...experience.

I ordered Enoch this month! I am already impatient even though I'm aware it will take some time. I ordered him with the default faceup. Waiting has never been this hard, haha! Doll Chateau is my favourite doll company and I am super super excited to finally get my own DC boy.

My Eunice in moon white is done! I've paid her off now, so that AC can ship her right away. The wait time wasn't that bad, a full four months. Almost to the day.

 

Oh congrats! Four months really isn't that bad, I'm happy to hear they got her ready so fast.

 

My Eunice has been sent! However, the Fedex tracking number doesn't work (yet?). So far the tracking I received from AC has worked as soon as I got it, so I wonder if there's a mistake in the number, or if I'm just impatient. Regardless of what it is, based on prior experiences I should get her at the end of this week. We'll see.

 

I ordered a youth y-03 body through Oobiedoll back in January. Still no word on possible shipping time. I’ve been told it could be anywhere between August and October. Fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later. I’ve had the head and all the clothing for months, just waiting for the body.

 

Just a quick question, has anyone else seen a DC delivery seemingly going in circles (recorded on tracking as entering the same airport in China twice and being exported twice) and then coming to a dead stop upon entering the airport again? The shipping is via EMS from Acbjd. There's been no movement on the parcel since the 3rd, which isn't all that long, I'm just wanting to see if anyone else has experienced the same. If it helps, it's only a head, so it's not a large parcel.

 

I had a similar case some time ago. My head even went back to AC and the whole trip took 3 months ( I live in Poland).
I think it's due to COVID and lockdowns in China. It's a little better now, but still shipping takes a long time and tracking stops for a week or two.

 

Thank you for your reply. That helps to know. I've expected delays on all packages but this is the first I've seen just going around in circles. Acbjd said it could take up to two months, so I'll just sit tight

 

I ordered Magic Mirror last month and I'm so excited for her to come. She's my first Doll Chateau doll and I'm absolutely in love with her face and body sculpt. I have so many ideas in store for how I want to style her, so I guess I'll be finalizing that while I wait!

I was impatient and paid off my Alice's Collection order early - now to wait for the fullset Fiona. I saw her in person recently and I couldn't stop thinking about her! Even as a blank she's very beautiful - now for the wait...

 

I have just placed order for K-05 body and Cecile head. It will be my first MSD, first with elvish ears, first girl and first with no face-up (own two SDs boys currently).

It’s time to decide on clothing, practice my non-existent artsy skills and wait…

She is to be a doll I fully intend to customize and take care for - DC bodies are so daunty and willowy and seems easy to hold and move. While I adore my SD boys they can get heavy when handling.

 

I ordered a Fergus last month just before they closed orders on him -- so glad they brought him back for a quick sale! Always loved the body he and Medeas were released on but never got around to it so I grabbed a layaway. Excited to finally have him!

 

Just put down a first payment on a DC Twinkle that was in stock on DDE.
Going to use this body with my incoming Birdcube Candle head.
We'll see how the hybrid works out once I get everything in. lol

Haven't seen any owner photos yet of Twinkle, so I'm excited to check out the "carved" body.

 

On November 19 I got the shipping notice for my Sexta-2. I ordered him from Denver Doll emporium on June 29th. I wasn't expecting him so soon.

I keep going back and checking his tracking to see if he is any closer to me but he hasn't really moved since he was put in transit. I guess America Thanksgiving has slowed everything down.

 

My Enoch arrived today! I ordered him this July. I never expected him to come this fast! I'm so so happy with him, he's so stunning.

 

Two good news! 1st of December I have received shipping notice on my September order [Cecile + K-05 body] and I have also ordered Y-04 body for my second-hand girl head.

I really hope DC waiting times are getting shorter as I waited less than 3 months for the order dispatch [and looking at tracking sites parcel will be delivered on 6th of December?]

 

Well I am completely heart broken. I went to the post office to pick up my Sexta-2 and when I unboxed him it was the wrong doll and y-body-06.

 

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Do you mind sharing which dealer did you order via? Or was it straight from DC? I can't even imagine how frustrating this might be after months of waiting, and then go through the whole process again, aaargh. Hope dealer/company can explain what happened to your order.

 

I ordered from Denver Doll Emporium. But I don't think badly of the dealer it was an accident. I contacted them and there was a mix up with shipping labels being put on the wrong box. They are already trying to track down where my doll went.

So all I need to do is send back the body and hope whoever got Sexta does the same. Hopefully I will have him by February if the returns go smoothly.

 

@Zacarias - good to hear it was just an accident. I had exact same situation with labels when ordering a bunch of manga! I have received a lot of historic essays instead It was fun to think of someone ordering very serious, "adult" books and receiving some comics. Hope it will be resolved quickly in your case.

I have received my Cecile on 6th, so I should be leaving this room, but decided on my last order this year => Bella 2 in white skin and I am also waiting on Y-04 body, also white skin, for my Christina head Aaaah, can't wait for both.

In the meantime, off to admire Cecile, it's such a daunty and intriguing sculpt.

 

@silmaryel : Oh no I hope you were eventually able to get the manga you ordered. What did you end up doing?

The post office noticed the packing slip didn't match the shipping address and Sexta-2 was returned to the Denver Doll emporium. They immediately shipped him out again. So hopefully he arrives before I fly to my mom's for the Christmas holidays. If not hopefully the post office holds him for me.

 

@Zacarias - oooh, that's good! At least the other person was spared the stress of receiving incorrect doll Fingeers crossed you'll get Sexta just in time for Christmas.

Haha, it was actually funny cause the other person lived in the very same apartment complex, which is probably why the bookstore messed shipping labels. I was given their name and phone [upon their consent to the company] and we just swapped packages on the street, much less hassle than dealing with the whole shipping back, etc

Oh your Cecile is gorgeous. Is the pink resin super pale like that in real life or is it just in the photos?

I was browsing bjdivas in stock items today and realized they had Charon in stock. I love their scorpion people and was so sad I missed out on them when they were first released. Needless to say I decided to purchase Charon.

My Enoch is with the dealer! I’m so excited to get this guy, I have already cleared out his cabinet space, lol. I’m so curious about DC and definitely can’t wait to see my first doll from them! A little sad he won’t be here for the holidays but, I’m so hoping he’s been worth the wait.

I picked up my Sexta-2 today (for real this time). He arrived on the 30th but I was out of town so he was being held at the post office for me.

I am absolutely in love. I was beginning to have buyers regret, as I was starting to dislike his sales photos, but Sexta-2 is gorgeous in person.

 

I bought myself a Christmas/birthday present of Sharon, Medusa, and Noah 2 back in late September. I read somewhere that DC wait times have gotten longer and to expect to wait up to 9 months. I really hope it doesn't take that long. I may be getting it for Christmas this year instead lol. But seriously, it's going to be an epic unboxing when they do get here.

 

@Zacarias - good to hear you managed to have Sexta finally Please post some pictures if you can. I am really curious on the white resin as read on another post that DC updated their white again! Answering your previous ask [sorry for such a belated response!], yes, the "book case" was with a smaller company and I had a history of multiple orders with them and just gave them a call

As for the DC pink resin, hmm it looks pale on its own but comparing to either their older white and 2022 peach its visibly more red. I'm not sure if I like it yet

@RattyRockstar congratulations on the big order, Sharon is such a lovely girl I considered her for a moment. TBH I waited less than 3 months from order to delivery [5th Sept to 1st Dec] for a blank doll so I really hope those 9 months are not accurate...I have two dolls incoming and just can't wait

 

My Enoch in moon white arrived today! The fullset is so nice and the faceup for the both the puppet and Enoch are perfect. The resin has such a pretty grey tone to it, I'm really in love. He's such a light doll for a big guy! I love his hands but I'm going to have to get used to his jointed fingers! He was about an 8 month wait (through a dealer) but he was certainly worth it.

I ordered him back in June so I am not sure if that was before or after DC changed the resin colour.

He came with eyes but they are too big and ridiculous looking. I have some other ones I purchased for a different doll; he may end up stealing them. I don't have the brain power to insert them right now though.

@sovayne: congrats on getting your Enoch.

 

I just ordered a enoch full doll and a Eudes head as a layaway from AC, its during an event so I will get a Lary as well. I have never ownd a dc doll before, I look forward to geting them home and have been looking to get one for years but constantly pushed it off before now.
How are they with eye and wig sizes? I don't always trust what the homepages says, I find they often exadurate sizes.

 

@Gulwen - I'm looking at Eudes head circ. and it seems to be bigger than my SD boys [not DC] and my DC SD girl [all around 19.5-21.5 cm]. Boys are wearing 8-9' wigs and girl 7-8'. 8-9' wigs seems a bit loose, so should be good for bigger head, like Eudes? Eyes - 14mm or 16mm with small irises looks best for me. My Christina wears now 17mm with 7mm iris and looks too big and dreamy, unless this is what you're looking for.

I have just started layaway on DC Dennis found via IG and just can't believe my luck! Along Christina he is DC doll I admire the most and within a few months he might be with me.

I must say I seem to be really lucky in stumbling across dolls I want to buy and which are discontinued, I feel almost guilty
Anyway I am just breaking my rule of no more SD dolls, but my Christina needs a companion of her size! I might as well never leave this waiting room

However I did notice one shin was bending a little differently than expected. Looks like the tension of the string was too strong, perhaps, or does this look like an issue where the piece was not done curing and bent to the elastic? You can even feel where the bend of the S-hook was pushed into the resin. I tried to take a photo of it, but it is very subtle, easier to feel.

Do you think I should try to boil the piece and see if it goes back to its original shape, or should I contact Alice?
Edit: I contacted ACBJD and I am getting a replacement part from DC :]
Edit 2: DC has sent my replacement part and all shall be well soon! tbh I'm amazed how fast this all went.

 

Hello! I'm curious if anyone who ordered during the DC 2022 May Spring Event has received their dolls. I'm curious if anyone who ordered during this event has received their dolls - or has some "waiting room advice".

I ordered Eunice as a fullset - I anticipated a long wait, but it's been quite awhile! I'm really looking forward to "meeting" her!

So is Ula. ^_^ They will look so cute displayed together. (yes, I was swayed by the promo photos. )

 

@Apocatiel Oh, that is a long wait! Which dealer did you order through? During 2022 I ordered 3 new DC dolls [early September and then early December] and all are already with me, I was really surprised at 3-4 months wait.

BUT, all were just blank bodies/heads without face-ups or full sets, ordered via Alice's Collections,

Hope it won't get much longer for you, but perhaps it's worth to check with the dealer on your order?
Congrats, Eunice and Ula are definitely on the dreamy/cute side and will look great together

 

@silmaryel Thanks for the info and advice! I ordered from Denver Doll, and I did notice they have some more in-stock DC dolls - though no Eunice or Ula fullsets/basic sets... I am going to check with them, but I wanted to ask for advice here first. I've read that DC dolls usually have longer-than-average times, especially with fullsets, so I was prepared... but almost a year - yikes! O_O

I had ordered Sharon as a fullset in March, and I received her in November, also from Denver Doll, so I have to admit I'm a little concerned about Eunice.

I feel a little hesitant to pre-order DC dolls now, but they are just so cool - I love their aesthetic.... Their dolls remind me of some painters I love - Camille Rose Garcia and Kukula come to mind.... ^_^

And congrats to you on your 3 new DC dolls! Which ones did you get?

 

I really like that DDE has a lot of in stock DC dolls, I am soo impatient when it comes to wait times…although customs fees are terrible when I order anything from US.

I got Cecile in pink skin with female body but sadly, I’ve not bonded with her, but I learned I like MSD size and that pink is not my fave resin colour! The other one was white Y-04 body (spare one for my Christina head cause I managed to find second-hand mellowed body with almost perfect resin match, I guess I need another head now!). And finally, Bella 2 in white - I already have one in peach but this sculpt is so lovely…TBH I went on a DC spree a bit

I’ve looked up painters you mentioned and wow, those are indeed evoking some DC vibes.

Me too! I ordered a Lafal head in moon white with ear wings (the fullset was outside my budget and I'm not huge on centaurs in the first place although it was extremely tempting). Now I gotta research what body might work for him.
