Doll Chateau Waiting Room v.7

Body got scanned for pickup early last week and has just been "in transit" ever since, it's a little too early to be worried but with the state of shipping these days, I'm a bit worried.

 

Nice. I've got an email from Granado. So it's not my Laney, but my mom's TimTim... But it's ok,I am happy for her too.

 

I just saw this, and I asked Divas about it since I also ordered one about the same time as you did. They’re a bit backed up right now with emails, but I hope to hear a response maybe next week? I dunno. I do hope more people will be able to come help the one person doing everything soon, but also infection rates are going up, so I’m not holding my breath.

 

I got a FedEx email that a package was on its way last Friday and thought it was something else I was waiting on from that region but this morning I got a shipping notice from Alice's Collections with the same tracking #. It's just a head, albeit with a faceup, but I ordered him on the very last day of the order period so it's less than three months. I was expecting a lot longer. Maybe since he's discontinued they wanted to get the mold out of the way? Idk.

 

@Ian-KunX The exact same thing just happened to me! Alice's, sudden FedEx number a few days before notification, and expecting it to be something else I was waiting for. Funny thing is, they had just written me after I asked for an ETA and said it would be another month. But no, heads are on the way! (one face-upped Hymen and a blank Jason that I can't wait to paint)

 

I got an email yesterday from BJDivas apologizing for the delay in adding my Emi Ant to my Nicola-A order. I emailed them and told them that it was okay, I know that there's only one person working right now. I still check my order form daily....

Did the others come down with COVID or something? I hope they're okay, I'd not wish it on anyone!

Sure thing! I got him with the default faceup which is quite pretty, and I'm sure I'll share tons of pics. Still need to figure out how I'm going to "embody" him, hybrid wise, but I'm definitely plotting out his character aesthetics!
Here's hoping that shipping won't take too long!

I asked the post office to investigate the package, it hasn't been scanned at all since stating that it was picked up on the 15th and the site advises to open a case if priority mail has gone MIA for 5+ days.

I'm a little bit concerned that the origination post office picked up the package and then immediately lost her, it didn't even seem to make it to a distribution center.

 

Is it shipping from within the US or is it an international priority piece? If it's international, the 5 days without a scan doesn't count and it's quite common for this to happen. If it was shipped within the US and didn't receive an origin scan, that's very odd. As the receiver you may not be able to open a case, it may have to be the mailer who initiates it. Did you buy through a dealer?

 

It's from within the US, from BJDivas. Tracking literally says:

MILWAUKEE, WI 53228

On the 15th, and then goes dark.

I was able to start an investigation, I don't think I can start a claim, though.

 

@SilverWinglie have you contacted BJDivas about it yet? I know they're delayed in responses but the fact this is the second time something like this has occurred in a month alone has me very concerned about the USPS office there. If they're using the free pick up service and this has now happened to two packages in a month, it's disheartening they continue to use this service instead of making a weekly post office trip. I would address it with them immediately.

 

FedEx is taking its sweet time and I'm getting worried what with all the horror stories I've been hearing about them lately. :<

 

I actually ended up calling the post office myself since BJDivas seems to already be overburdened and I don't want to put another thing on their plate when it's not something they can control.

The long story short is that the pandemic is actually shutting down entire distro centers (if one person gets sick, EVERYONE has to quarantine), and to keep things moving (they're seeing Christmas levels of package volume in addition to the personnel backups) scans are often getting missed.

He said it may take a few weeks, but it absolutely will just turn up one day and that this is the "new normal".

So if anyone else is in a similar situation...yeah, that's the state of things.

 

I opted for airmail shipping since it was cheaper and ACBJD said it was pretty much back to normal, but of course now I'm getting impatient. They said airmail tends to take 10-35 days, so the wait isn't too bad, but my last doll had free express shipping, so I'm spoiled.

 

My boys heads arrived today! I'll post pics in a bit, but I wanted to ask if anyone else ever ordered Hyman with a faceup and got one with brown teeth? It looks unfinished...also his eyelashes fell out immediately, which is annoying since I hate gluing in eyelashes. Other than that, they're lovely. Going to work on Jason's faceup tomorrow, when it's not five million degrees in the shade.

 

Just to prepare you, I had one airmail shipment arrive quickly...and another take a solid three months. I'd written off the one that was taking forever (it was just some 75c sewing notions), and then it just popped into my mailbox yesterday.

 

I've gotten lucky with airmail shipping before, so here's hoping. At least I have tracking, so I know where it is even if that just means I know it's sitting at the airport waiting to be shipped.

 

Tracking on China Post says my doll made it to Canadian customs two days ago (after being on the way since May 14th) but now my tracking on the Canada Post side has gone from "Waiting for international package" to an alert picture and "Multiple PIN" with no added context or info
Well... At least it's a change? If China Post is right is at the customs station near me so probably within a week!

 

So someone has finally posted a full set Julianne on IG. And it does look as good as I hoped it would. Unfortunately those of us who went through BJDivas still have no word that ours has even entered the mail system yet but it looks like there's hope? Maybe?

She didn't, I believe they're currently using DHL or something similar because she mentioned shipping has gone up and having purchased stuff from china, right now they're specifically using couriers rather than EMS.
theoretically that means it SHOULD be quicker than usual but she's got all of last year AND up to the start of April so that's a MASSIVE order and gonna get caught by customs and held ransom.

But it's really good news if they really have caught up to April.

Body is out for delivery!! I suddenly got a scan (the first scan since pickup on the 15th) at 10:30 last night, and this morning it's gone out.

 

I just saw on Angelesque Instagram, she received some packages from Dollzone and Doll Chateau. I cross my fingers for my doll is there and this boring waiting ends soon hahaha!!

 

Still waiting over here and now worried the longer it takes the less likely I will have enough cash in hand to pay for shipping, so woohoo.

 

Still waiting for so much as confirmation that my Julianne is even in route to the dealer. I FINALLY got DC to respond to me and they said they'd get back to me..and haven't..again. BJDivas has also asked and not been able to get an answer. That's..great. Really love working with Doll Chateau. Hilight of my year. So no one knows if this doll was ever sent to the dealer, if it's on the way, if it's lost, if it's with DC still..no one knows.

 

I just signed up for a 10-month layaway for a blank grey noah; I'd heard the wait times were long so I figured I'd just pay him off slow to pass the time. But reading this thread it looks like their wait times are really varied...

I'm sure I'll see him eventually! LOL

 

I ordered my Noah in January, and I’m still super excited. I’m tempted to order the even smaller fawn.

Does anyone know how much Shipping may end up costing?

 

Does DC start production when you start the layaway or do they wait till you finish paying it off? because that's one thing that's always made me pause as i've never known for sure.

Of course, probably next year i'll be doing another dc order. Hugh and Alva are on my wishlist but I have other things I need to pay for first (bodies for floating heads)

and need to have Julienne get her. soon... soon.

 

sooo, i've not bought directly from DC, but when i've done layaway the dealer orders when i begin, so the doll is being made as the payments are paid. one exception was dollmore, they built the LE after payment in full.
not sure what to say about shipping, i've enjoyed the free stuff from the dealers

 

My layaway is through BJDivas, and they put in the order to DC when you start the layaway, so the doll is made while you pay. I believe the same is true for Alice's Collections, who I've used in the past.

BJDivas says my shipping will be around $13.

Has anyone added another order to an existing BJDivas order? I added a nude Emi Ant to my order, but its still showing her as "cancelled" instead of being added to my layaway.

I know they're busy over there, with only one person working, but I was hoping to have my Emi added to my order by now. I hate pestering them about her, but I'd love to know that she's being made while I'm paying her and my Nicola-A off.

Get in touch with them, probably through FB and it'll take around three days right now. I had to because they were so swamped that they forgot to send an invoice for my DZ order and I was afraid of missing the event cut-off.

 

I'm watching many people in Instagram is receiving their Juliannes!! Does someone has received an email or notification from Angelesque and the recent DC/DZ packages?

 

not yet. They sent the parcels out last week and they have to clear customs and then be sorted so that might take a while. She was saying it was everything up to April this year which is something like 20k worth of dolls. It's gonna be a LOT of dolls and a LOT of orders each of which needs to be opened, checked and then repackaged to their owner.
Ouch.

 

Good news for me! Today I got A message from AC that Cecilia head I ordered at the end of April is on its way to me!

 

I contacted Doll Chateau directly yet again about the status of Julianne fullsets ordered through BJDivas but still no response. I got a response initially from them asking which dealer it was through so they could check but then a week after that reply no response. Then another week and no reply. So...if I ever get a reply I'll post it here. I just don't understand the order in which this company does anything.

 

Thank you for the suggestion, @Bristol, but BJDivas finally added my EmiAnt to my order! It was on my Nicola-A's Paypal layaway order when I went to pay today.

WHEW! I was worried for a bit there! I should have known that BJDivas would come through, even if they only have one person working currently.

I think I'm going to use them for any of my orders from their companies from now on.

Just ordered an Esa doll! :3 Does anyone happen to know anything about whether Event dolls ship out quicker than other Doll Chateau regular stock dolls? I'm impatient to get her of course! But waiting will be easier if I have a ballpark idea...

 

Thanks, I'm getting so ANTSY waiting for own own fullset through BJDivas. It's crazy to think 2 of the dolls I ordered after her have shipped and arrived home, and still nothing on my Julianne...

 

I forget, who all here is still waiting on March 2019 discontinuation stuff? This one? Are we finally starting to see this stuff or nah? All this talk about Juliannes going out makes me hopeful, since she was several months after!

 

I'm still waiting for an Alberta fullest, ordered through BJDivas. So Im not sure that gives a good estimate since I think they probably have quite a few they are still working through?

 

Apparently I'm mildly out of the room? I'm waiting on a Bella head now. BUT! Julianne came in yesterday! (Not her actual faceup...it's just a temp latex thing xD )

I received my order (heads and tinies) in December.

 

I hear you. I'm so antsy as well about this. Still no word. I've asked them yet again but they've been radio silent yet again. The only way I got them to even reply the first time was by raising a fuss publicly. I am absolutely shameless and don't mind doing it again. I get delays, etc. But there's 0 reason to ignore customer e-mails and questions. BJDivas can't even get a real reply from them. I don't blame BJDivas at all for the lack of information, it's entirely on the part of Doll Chateau.
I have tried: Twitter, Facebook, IG comments, IG PMs, their official customer support e-mail..nothing. At this point I'm starting to think smoke signals may be the only way I'm going to hear back from them.

 

My BJDivas EmiAnt layaway order has officially changed from "cancelled" to "processing!" I'm so thrilled!

AdamaAnt is officially on layaway, even if I had to wait from July 13th when I added her to my DC order until August 8th when she actually was added to it. It was a long wait, but worth it!

I can't imagine going from however many people BJDivas normally has working for them down to one. I give that one person mad props for being dedicated enough to do that.

Also, it shows that there is at least one person working their butt off to process everyone's orders from multiple doll companies, answer questions, add new things to the website, and everything else that needs to be done to keep the company running. I'd say that this means that until more people are able to work at BJDivas, we will all have to be patient.

I don't think anyone's doubting that they're doing their best and still making sure things get taken care of despite being a one-person team. No one is blaming them for Doll Chateau's mishaps and lapses in communication.

Here's to hoping those still waiting on long-overdue orders will get some good news here sooner rather than later.

I planned to dye her black so I should really order some dye huh? lol.
Not sure I really want to be stood over a dye pot in this heat wave though. So she might have to wait.

But my Noah version 2 fullset have been shipped and i'm still waiting for him to arrive in denmark XD I hate this wait. Last package took two months!
