I just spent the last few hours of my life reading this entire thread. And all I can say is... WOW. Everyones dolls are just so fricken CUTE. I'm so, so so sad because for the past few years my family has had a lot of financial difficulties, to be honest I don't own any resin dolls yet. I'm only on the forum to observe and learn things, because I don't have any dolls I can actually post about yet. (I have a hujoo Yomi, but she's off topic and therefor I can't post anything with her ) I fell in love, hard, with Ada though. The very first time I saw her on the MoC website, I was smitten. Seeing all of your cute Adas just make me even more sad that they're out of production. If I could find one second hand, maybe... Just maybe.

Anyway, all of your dolls are so cute! I love all the Adas, of course, but I love the Hilary's and Jodi's too! They're my second favorite DC sculpt. Ugh, all of you are so amazing and talented. Keep up the amazing work!

Mysticice- No worries about not having any resins yet! I didn't even have any BJDs when I first joined...eek, and now I've got too many. And I see Adas pop up on the marketplace all the time, keep an eye out and you'll have your moose in no time C:

Redid Pekoe's faceup, I love her even more now. You can't really see here but she has a ton of tiny white freckles... And I actually have a good, do-able idea for her horns now, so stay tuned.

 

Spookyjester - thank you!! Pokoe's new face is just adorable! I'm excited to see what you've figured out for the horns!

Mysticice26 - You may be better off having to be patient and save up. That way you're getting all of the info before spending the money! When you get your first doll you will know for sure that you love love love it! Glad to hear you love Adas, they are definitely my favorite sculpt as of now!

And am I crazy or was there a rumor of DC planning to put Ada and Russel back into production??

 

@nikopiko, Are you serious?! Where did you hear that? I'd love it if they did! I mean, come on, Ada and Russel are both so popular, why don't they just put them into production for good already?

 

It was some random Facebook post, someone said something among the lines of "I hope it's not an April fool's joke" and went on to say DC was considering producing them again (so it must have originally happened back in April). Then the comments said they doubt it was a joke, just a poorly timed announcement. But I haven't seen any evidence myself and was hoping someone here had read what I read.

Yup, I ordered mine in May, and bought a second one off the marketplace here. The Adas are pretty easy to find in the marketplace. I don't know about Russell, though, since he's technically off-topic.

 

Yeah, I've seen some Adas floating around, I actually just PM'd someone! Haha, but as for Russell, I thought that animal themed OT dolls were allowed? Like, I thought I read it in the rules somewhere. Something about some OT were allowed to be sold as companions/accessories to the other dolls?

I could be wrong. Let me go check the rules again.

Mysticice26 -Since Russell is OT, he isn't supposed to be sold in the tiny section in the mp, BUT he can be sold in the Accessories/Ephemera section. I did see a Russell on ebay direct from a dealer, but I don't know if he is still available or not. I have an Ada, and was thinking of getting a Russell too, but couldn't get the funds in time, sigh. Now that I've seen some RL pictures, I'm even more sad I couldn't bring one home.

She'll be getting some loose, wrap-like deals to cover her butt and like a little bandeau thing for her chest-she might also get some sandals or anklets, not sure. They are pretty hard to dress aren't they? XD

Dangit, my wee boy is gettin jealous - he still has no clothes, no wig and no name.... Meanwhile I'm still stuck on the idea of Ada overalls. Admittedly they would look a bit odd, but there has to be a way to make something work for a cohesive bottom/pants for the four legged bodies. Hmmmm.

I finished her face up last weekend after a lot of messing around. She is also naked most of time, but I don't mind as she is such a gorgeous little sculpt it would be a shame to cover her up!

 

I did it. I who enabled three people to get their Adas in the first release... I have finally bought one for myself. Her ears will be coming off, and I think I'm giving her mouse ears.... But we'll see. I'm hoping she'll be here by the end of the week.

Any one care to spam in celebration? Especially if your Ada has had antler removal .... But any Ada will do!

 

Your Adas are all sooo cute! I have a question: What is Ada's neck size? I can't find it anywhere! I plan on a hybrid with my tiny Elfdoll heads (Lyn and Kai), I hope someone can help me.

 

I just bought my Ada today, I can't wait to receive her. I plan on removing her large antlers and giving her a human belly. She looks so tiny in pictures!

zaftiq- omg thank you, that's so useful! I've been sewing for my girl who hasn't arrived yet and I've been going off of pictures, it's nice to have these measurements! I just came here today to ask about her wig size. Now I can really sew for her with confidence!

 

zaftiq - I also thank you! I have an Ada on order through Denver Doll and wanted to start collecting/sewing things for her. This will help tremendously.

My Ada arrived this morning, it took me a little while to take her antlers off and give her human-looking ears, restring her to a human body & find a look for her. She's a little rabbit girl. But she is SO tiny. Somebody is definitely in need of some hot glue sueding here, and it's not me!
I hope I can get used to her tiny size. All of my other girls are about her height but not so delicate and thin. We'll see!

Aaah! GreenBee, Ada is so cute as a bunny! I might need to make some felt ears for mine to tie on under their antlers or something. I'm getting ideas!!!! Now I just need the weather to cooperate so I can do sealant for faceups. Bah!

 

GreenBee, your Ada is adorable! So cute with the ears, and the dress is perfect! I hope you keep her, but I understand about the teensy weensy limbs. I hot glue sueded my Ada and she's still a bit fussy - and that's with FOUR legs to keep her upright! I can't imagine balancing her on only two.

I finally made my Ada a wig!

Oh wow! Nice wig! I've kind of given up finding anything that works for my Ada. She has the fluffy blue wig of doom. I tried doing feathers like in the promotional shots, but that was a huge fail. And messy.

 

Gee, summer's almost gone and I've not given my Ada a face up....

I won't lie, I just hot glue gunned the "wig" on for my tiny. Easy, fast, and removable if need be.

My Ada got a faceup today, but I'm not sure I like it. It turned out way more orange than brown. I'll probably wipe it and start over when I redo my SD's faceup.

 

Is it anybody here who has a DZ 27 (01 or 02) body that can show me what the DC BB heads look like on it (Not Hilary/Jodie but the other ones)? I really want a head for my body and would love it to be a DC one.

 

I have a Lilith, but it isn't smaller than Krumi, still I can try...

Hello, everyone.

I was wondering, for anyone that owns a Hillary/Jodie body and also a Pukifée- how does the head look on the body? I'm aware that maybe some modding might be needed, so what I'm looking for more is how the Pukifée head is proportional to the body. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time!​

I love her outfit though! And that HAIR!!

Pukifee / Hilary hybrid will have to wait. My power is out from storms. I got it put together just before the lights went out, and I kind of like the weird proportions. Tiny head, big bottom.

So wow, he doesn't fit in anything! Luckily my friend made him a copy of this stripy jumpsuit that I had (with bunny ears and tail - this one is without bun parts) so he can have clothes. I'm hoping for a t-shirt and shorts next.

iwasteela and Mareepu ~ hee hee I kind of like it! I do agree the neck may need shortening if this was going to be a thing...but then again maybe with a wig and clothes it might not.

Thank you!! That's a huge help. I don't have any slim MSD shorts atm, but I have slim minis, so if I buy any and they don't work, someone will wear them. I have a few pairs from Dollmore....they usually fit all sizes of my minis and might work. Now I want to go home and try them out D:
