I’m very excited about them, and plan to order the Elsa head. Not sure how I want to body her though; has anyone here ever made a hybrid with doll chateau and coral reef doll or dream valley? If so, what color/how did it go? Thinking about one of their 1/4 bodies
I'm not sure what they could hybrid with, the neck size seems pretty small at 5.5cm. Do you guys know if those wings come off? I've never owned that size DC body before.
Doll Chateau and Coralreef can be a good hybrid in terms of size, but their resin color can be challenging. My Coralreef body in pink is still quite lighter than my Doll Chateau’s pink and peach. It can be done with a good blush match job though. Depends on the heads, the DC’s head can look a bit too small on Coralreef’s body. For example, Alberta head would look fine on Coralreef’s body but Nicola B’s head would have looked too small. Coralreef’s body would be a good match to head size around 16.5-17.5 cm.
Hello, I just purchased a DC Queena and will most likely need to get her a new body. I am new to Doll Chateau so not so sure about what body fits each head. I really like the K-body-11 (think this is my top pick) and I also see the K-body-01 might work. Can either of these be used for the Queen head with no problem?
The K-01 would work well. My Queena fullset uses k-05, which is just the 01 with extra joints. Queena's head is also still used in the photos of 05 to give you an idea as well.
That is good to know ! I see the K-01 is 6cm in the neck and the K-11 5.5cm so hopefully that one would work as well since I see the K-05 is even smaller at 4.5cm?
They still work, I have seen plenty of Queenas on the k-01. Based on the neck sizes, I think she would look fine on the k-11.
I did a similar body change to my Jason and it worked out fine. Instead of buying him on the K-12 he was released on, I bought an older K-02 for him. But since your choice is K-11, I think it will be perfect, more delicate for Quenna.
I finally finished my collection of 3 pair of Amos and Alberta!!! So happy to share with you guys my little collection
@Naomicamlux Oh, what a collection! I love how cohesive they look together. And that antler decoration! They are wonderful.
@Naomicamlux Oh applause, applause! Well done indeed! I love each and every one of them. They all have so much character. It’s an absolutely impressive and fascinating collection.
I didn't notice your post, but I have Queena and it looks very good on K- body-11. Maybe even better than on the original body. Now, I have 2 Queenas. I'm probably late and you've already solved your problem.
Hello, I have just ordered K-05 body in grey and vibrating My first "fantasy" colour doll so impatient. Added entry in the waitlist too, it has not been updated in so long! Ordered Dream Valley Freyja head for it [DC bodies are just too pretty to me, even if the resin will be mismatched, haha]. As a side note, it seems DDE has cleared up their DC stock cause it looks like there are more dolls available now!
What a wonderfully artistic and original treatment of those antlers! I always love to see how different people have interpreted their designs based on their unique characters. This is amazing!
@Naomicamlux - Oh my goodness, your collection is so beautiful!! I love how unique each doll is, and how delicately you've painted their antlers.
thank you all for your kind words. I have a question, does anybody here own the K body 24 or the Sheep Sorceress’s body and may I ask what’s the necksize of that body? I love the Sheep Sorceress’s head but I prefer the K body 01 a lot more so I was wondering if the Sheep sorceress head would fit on the K body 01. I tried searching on their website but they do not display any measurement for the K body 24. Thank you so much

Me too!!!! I really want the head, but not the body. I emailed DC but they didn’t get back to me. Their website doesn’t carry any measurement for the body of the sheep sorceress at all. Maybe I’ll just get her and pray XD
Sorry for intrusion - I personally don't have any Doll Chateau creatures home but find them very magical and inspirational. Recently Twilight (the limited MSD centaur) caught my eye. I'm absolutely in awe - wanted to find more pictures to admire, but it seems like no one owns these dolls. I found some home photos of Lafals (male MSD centaurs) but no Twilights. Interesting.
I'm not sure if any of the American dealers got them, yet. So, maybe we'll have to wait a bit longer to see an owner photo.
Yeah, even though I got my first bjd doll 12 years ago (Resinsoul Yun), I'm still a newbie when it comes to bjd-knowledge and how these orders work. I only have 3 Resinsoul dolls and one printed by an artist I personally know. So I didn't have to wait long for any of my dolls. So sorry for dumb questions.
Not a dumb question at all! Different companies have different production times, and Doll Chateau unfortunately has a rather long one, especially for international orders (outside of CN). So likely those who ordered in the USA are still waiting
I'm wondering if anyone has found a good company for option hands and feet that might fit the K-01 girl body? I'm really tired of just having flat feet for my Bella and would love some more expressive hands but have no idea what might be a good size or resin match. I know DC makes the 1/4 jointed hands but I'm just not feeling them for whatever reason.
@QuietYurei I know Dollzone should be a good resin match, since they're sister companies. I don't own a doll from either company currently, so I don't know about size differences. Does anyone have a Violet (the sheep girl)? How's her posing?
I believe the sheep girl Violet’s body is the K body 11, I used to have that body, it’s definitely beautiful but as for posing, it sucks (in my opinion). The body being disproportioned makes it very hard to stand after the string gone bit more loose. Arms cannot hold up, always flop down and it’s overall either kicky, or won’t hold any pose. I gave up the K body 11 for that reason, it’s so hard to pose. A lot of players I know choose to take off the extra joints because it makes it easier for them to pose, but that take away from the aesthetic. Hope this helps!
I haven’t been up here in so long, but I’m so glad to find the time to be back. Here’s a project I did on my Alberta based off a Chinese tale called “The Emperor’s Nightingale”.
Here’s another project I did on another Alberta of mine, based off the Jartaka’s tale “A deer of nine colours”.
Truly gorgeous and full of meaning…well done! I’ve always thought these amazing antlers were such a wonderful canvas for artistic expression, and I love how well you’ve utilized them to express creativity.
Oh! I remember watching an old cartoon retelling that story! Way back in the 90s. Thank you for that little trip down memory lane! Your paintings are so beautiful! This is so eerie, I love it! I've not heard of this tale before, I'm going to have to research it now!
Oh my, this girl is so-o-o-o gorgeous! The artwork on her antlers is positively stunning, and that little 3-dimensional butterfly is such a perfect touch. And I love how what she’s wearing is so beautifully coordinated with her antlers. This is is such an amazing photo…thank you so much for sharing. It truly made my morning.
Thank you so much!!! Your kind words really gave me motivation to work on my dolls. The butterfly charms are indeed a risky move that turned out really good for me. Thank you so much, they do have matching piịamas, I just have to find a way to fit them all tgt in one frame haha
