@PoeticSoul - Thank you! She'll be added to the never-ending list of doll projects. She's a very cool sculpt for sure. My plan is to partly dye her and mod her to have fangs and eight eyes. But we'll see ow that works out in practice.

@SteamWitch - She's actually far smaller than I expected her to be! But I spend so much time playing with my big boys that anything seems small in comparison. But my Clash crew is mostly complete, huzzah!

I purchased a DC Hugh from DDE when I was lucky enough to go to Denver in early May of this year. I have his head at artist's place and hoping to share photos of my new guy by mid June. His name is still being considered. Hubby & I saw many parts of the CO area as well as NM so trying to pick a name to remind of the wonderful parts of trip. Although considering we had to change our route home due to tornadoes he could be called Rein. Or Rain. Soon as he is home will share photos.

 

Maybe interesting for someone, my DC Noah arrived on Friday C:not many have been shipped out.

I passed my Colin over to my niece who has wanted him for a long time. I won't have anymore photos to share as he was my only DC mini but I still love looking at these lovely dolls, and I will comment.

That is very sweet of you @SteamWitch to give your boy to your niece. I am sure she'll love him, and maybe come for visits and she can take photos.

 

He will get lots of loving, she has only girls so far.
I hope to take my sister up to see her sometime this summer. I'll get to see him then.

 

Well good to know at least some of the centaurs have been sent, hopefully that means I shouldn't have to wait too much longer on my Ryan.

 

This is probably a stupid question, but what is the difference between the two outfits DC KC-32 and DC KC-33? Is it just the fit?

 

The K1 has much narrower hips than the 7 & 11 so the KC-32 is made for that skinny booty.

Hi. I'm just wondering how long DC takes to answer? I messaged them about a question. I realize it's probably because I messaged Saturday that were that they probably have not answered back yet.

I have had a DC kid Irma on my wish list for a couple of years now but it turns out that it is on the discontinued list. But It's an irma hybrid that I'm interested in though so the body is not a problem. I see that the head sculpt are still listed with a price in the KID head section. http://www.doll-chateau.com So I hope the head are still available for order. If anybody knows, please let me know

If possible I want to order the Irma head in green skin with this kid boy body. Anybody knows if it fits? http://www.doll-chateau.com And the Grace Elf face-up. It's a character that long were meant to be a part of a BJD family of all sorts of species that I'm working on. He'll be a cheeky but cute kind of alien.

I should have paid more attention to this sculpt but because of some Iplehouse orders and other things geting in the way I haven't had any chance to order him. I probably could have ordered at least the head though. so I really regret that I didn't do that. Alice's Collections which I use to order from every now and then, long had that head for order, I feel so stupid that I didn't just order through them earlier

 

@manabusama I would just talk to BJDivas as they are a Doll Chateau dealer. They can maybe help you get your head in green, as far a fitting, hopefully someone here can help.

Unfortunately the Irma head can not be ordered either... Too late now

But I'd still like to have a DC doll in the green color oneday so I'll keep my eyes on any future releases. At least I ordered a grey skin DZ Carter head with faceup. It won't be quite the same as the Irma sulpt but it'll do.

 

sharon doll chateau - Google Search

Does anyone know which skin colour Sharon is from DC in her promo shots? I love her skin colour and want to order her in the same skin colour as her photos but I’m really bad at choosing from just those egg samples they show on bjd websites!

 

According to the listing on the official site, Sharon is white skin in the promo photos ☺️

 

Oh thank you! That’s so helpful! To me she looked white with a yellowy tint but someone posted a shot of the old yellow on this thread and it looked tan so I was confused! I don’t really like pure white skin colour but I guess DC white is a little more flesh toned than pure white unless it just looks that way in the photos.

 

It may also have to do with how they’ve blushed her and the exposure on the photography. The blush is quite yellow. Also different computer screens show colours in different ways, so it’s worth checking the listing on another screen if possible.

 

I think it must be the blushing... My doll chateau is paper white even after 2 years

I read somewhere (maybe this thread I forget now) that the DC white has changed and it’s now more of an Ivory than pure white - which may explain the yellow tint, but as your doll is only two years old the change would have had to have been pretty recent so I’ll maybe try contact DC to confirm. Thanks for your help

Thanks for your advice it’s so helpful. I tried looking from my MacBook instead of my phone and she still looks like she has a yellowish tint to me. I’m just really terrible at imagining dolls in different skin tones unless I see someone’s close up shot in daylight - that’s why I always tend to go for the promo shot skin tone whenever I like a doll. I think I’ll try double check with DC if they can let me know if she’s paper white or ivory white then take the plunge xx

DC's white has been a more creamy white since before Sharon was released, I have a hybrid with her head in ws but my only pictures are either just her head in my hand and one with a pink skin DC head in her lap

 

Thank you so much for your input. I emailed DC and they confirmed that the white is ivory white and not paper white so I think I’ll take the plunge!

 

@Cherryblue I think she's even cuter in person than her company photos! Are you getting her with a faceup?

 

Yes - call me insane but the main reason I’m getting her is because I love that she’s crying!

I want to ask for your help Does anyone have DC hugh or colin or bella or nicola along with any serenadedoll girl? I'm looking for comparing photos but i can't find it anywhere. Maybe someone can help me with it. I'm trying to figure out head proportions and face features

 

I think the white color has changed, My Doll Chateau white dolls look like they are the ivory colour of bone.

Has anyone who ordered Ryan gotten theirs yet? I wanna see how he looks in white, or at least not-grey, but so far I've only seen a couple Noahs.

 

I believe someone just got their shipping notice for their Ryan today, so it won’t be long before owner photos start to show up.

Hi, all! In light of the body discontinuation, does anyone have feedback on the Isabel body? It's the one with the skeletal wings. I am thinking of purchasing this body for my Lydia, but I currently have her on a K-body-01. A little bit of FOMO with this one! Thanks a bunch!

 

i'm in the same boat with the male version, either size... those wings are sooo neat, and i keep thinking you could string all kinds of other stuff too without having to drill holes in somebody. but, I have a Douglas, so the k-body-12-1 just seems even younger looking. that chewed up centaur (k-body-14) too, i'm not really looking for a female right now, but she's pretty amazing.
so yeah, I'm with you on the FOMO

oh, and I'm not sure where else i can spam, but speaking of my Douglas (i really need to name him) here he is decked out in an outfit my Angel who adopted me as their newbie for the anniversary festivities.
He's having a sit down with the house ghost and a new friend, thinking about Halloween.

Finally got the email that my Ryan shipped, yay Taffy is coming home!

Guess they ended up getting him and my DF-H body in at the same time cuz it says they were both shipped out, but I only got one tracking number.
