    2. New DC kid thread!
Ronoxun at the Japanese Gardens. As if he needed a sword,:doh he borrowed it anyway, sneaky little fire demon.

    3. Haha, he looks very commanding! @SteamWitch ;)

Here's Star, looking very sad that he still doesn't have pants. (My sewing machine broke ;_; )

    4. Oh wow! He looks so cool! I love his outfit. ^_^

    5. Do them by hand.

    6. Lol yeah I did :sweat They could be better though, and I have to fix some parts of my pattern. But at least he has pants now! :)

    7. Yay for pants! :) I hope hand-sewing was a relaxing experience for you and not a harrowing one! Although, given how fiddly crotch seams can be for pants, I'd be more surprised if it wasn't... :sweat

    8. Well...actually hand-sewing could be easier imo. It's pretty time-consuming, especially for what the finished product is. I can't wait to have my sewing machine back (if it can be fixed +_+)

    9. Konakona135: Was your sewing machine fixable?

    10. Thanks for remembering me! :)
Unfortunately I still don't know. My father just came home from a business trip (2 weeks long :sweat) and he hasn't gotten around to looking at it yet. But based off of my descriptions, he thinks it's just an electrical shortage, thankfully.
But when it's fixed I'll be sure to update you all, as well as show Star with some new clothes! =^_^=

    11. Greetings from me and Caine! Now I have only two kid dolls at my bjd crew - but currently hesitating about to order or not to order an Charles :D

    12. WOW Caine is beautiful!! i love her faceup and i want that shirt for me too XD

    13. This might sound strange but could someone please measure and confirm the height of the k-body-02 for me? I know the website says its 44cm but companies are usually never 100% correct/accurate. It would help me out alot thanks!

    14. Ohhh boy :sweat I'm sorry for such a long absence!
@Siwa, Caine is gorgeous! I really like those horns on him.

So when my dad checked out the sewing machine, it turns out the extension cord I had plugged it in before was no good, so we had to move things around to plug it into the wall. But after that I was all ready to go! Thankfully nothing serious was wrong with it. I was able to finally make him pants and a cute little shirt, so all's good here :)

On that note, I present Star as of now. I got a huge chunk of him done over Thanksgiving vacation, so I'm happy about that.
(I ended up not posting the project journal...but if anyone wants any pics or anything I can share them!)

      Here's what I accomplished:
      1. Sanding off boobs - I got him on the K_01 body, so they had to go lol
      2. Make the alpaca wig - I washed, dyed, etc. I'm really happy how it turned out! :D
      3. Faceup - I'm also happy with how it turned out, but I will be redoing it one day to add some minor details. And oh man. Those spider bites hated me! :( It took me a good 30 minutes to get them down to the right size ;_;
I didn't get to the body blushing because there was no time, but I'll do it later =^_^=

And his festive wear of course! (feat. a sweater I wasn't intending to be a crop top XDD)

    15. Oh @Shinjumoon , Nora looks beautiful in that dress! :D

    16. @konakona135 you're doll is so pretty. I showed him to my boyfriend and now he feels better about me getting a DC doll lol

    17. Thank youu <3

    18. I received Chael's eyes today. He has such narrow eye slits that I love the super small iris with low dome. I used pink silicone ear plugs as even a 14mm seems to gap a bit and the pink looks just fine and will blend with his faceup when he gets one. All of Jae's sons have blue eyes so these work wonderfully.

    19. Aww thanks so much @CherryB ^^ I'm glad he feels better about getting a DC boy; he certainly won't regret it! They're gorgeous :D
Here's a quick spam of Star in some of his Christmas gifts lol! :)

    20. Hello!
Let me join this thread with my Chrystall ^^ I got her in the end of December, and like k-07 body too much))

    22. Thank you @SugarFirefly ^^ It's always nice to see cute Hughs :P Yours is precious :) I've only seen the fullset on DC's promo pics, so I really like your pic of him!
      @Anteja1984 , she looks like a winter fairy :D

    23. I've just paid the third payment for Eugene's layaway!
      Half-way done now!
Does anyone have any Matthew's they can spam?
Especially with different hair colors. Haha, I still haven't decided on a hair color for mine.

    24. Hurray for Eugene! Can't wait to see him @rocketshipwalker :) Unfortunately I don't have a Matthew to spam :sweat :(
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's though.

    25. I actually have a Matthew! He's on a k-body 02, though. I'm totally in love with his head sculpt. :love
He doesn't have a faceup or anything yet. I should be sending him to the artist soon, and I am SO EXCITED.

    26. More Matthew's! Cool.
I haven't seen many owner pictures, so I'll definitely be posting some of my Eugene when he gets here.
I hope he gets here before the layaway is done so I can just pay him off.
I only did the longer one for the cheaper payments, but I'm ready to pay him off the second he arrives to MoC.
He'll be my first DC doll.
My friend is also patiently waiting because they're getting the event Carol I added to the order.

    27. I was wondering why there weren't any updates on the DC topic.. turns out there's this one now. *watches thread again* :XD:

I wanted to share my new and improved Bella! She has a new character, new look, but I'm not set about the name yet. She has a knitted dress, but since you can only add one pic to a post in discussion, I'd rather show off her body paint

Her face-up has greens (and a tiny bit of blue) as well. It's only her right arm that's blushed green and has 'tattoos'. The other arm is still blank, only the fingers were made green as well.

I'm so upset that the DC kid bodies with the extra joints are way taller than a regular msd. I can't really picture them in scale, but I don't want my girl to be taller than her dollzone significant other. Oh well.

      • x 4
    28. She is so cute. I love her panties.

    29. She looks great @Rodent! I really like that pattern, it reminds me of a feathery star ^^ and yes, I'm having similar problems with height differences compared to DC bodies; even with the ones without the extra joints! :sweat

    30. Your dolls are all so gorgeous! I love Doll Chateau! Their sculpts are so unique. I'm saving up for a Lance currently. I can't wait until I can order him!

    31. She's lovely, @Rodent! What a gorgeous color and design. Dress pics now? ;)

    32. Thank you all! :) I didn't take her apart to do the blushing, so it was actually quite the challenge to get her shoulder looking ok, since if she puts her arms up, the top part of the shoulder rubs against the torso part and I'll have to see how well the blush holds on that spot.

This is her with the dress :

It was from an etsy shop and it was made specifically for the DC kid body. I love it, it's so pretty. She needs some more bracelets, but all in due time.

Lance is neat as well! Hope you can order him soon, @FairyTeeth !

    33. Hi! I'm currently not-so-patiently waiting for my pre-order to go in from Mint on Card for Alma (and also Madeline but she'd go in the Tiny doll section)! I'm very excited and have a box of about everything I've been collecting for her. She's going to be my first "real" doll. I have a Hujoo Berry but I'd always considered her a sorta test-doll? For practicing and such (until she got left at my grandfather's by accident).
Anyway, I'm very excited and am already fleshing out her character design! I'll let her personality show itself but I know I want her to be a witch of neutral alignment. Below is a messy sketch I did. Her hair is tentative and only based on a wig I got because it was on sale on ebay.
I'd love thoughts and opinions and maybe some feedback on what to expect with Alma?

    34. I can't wait to see your Alma, @MooseyRae! I remember doing the same thing for my Lenore: stock-piling and planning. She came right together! I hope yours is just as easy. :) I love Alma. If I found myself needing another DC Kid, she'd be the one.

      • x 1
    35. I can't wait either, @urbanizer! Haha! Alma and Agatha were the first dolls I ever saw and they're the ones that threw me into the world of BJD. And thank you, I hope she comes together easily as well!

    36. Chael's (Colin) new human head needs a faceup, I got part of it done yesterday at a crafting meet. His other head became his demon side Ronoxun. Bad indoor lighting but he looks half asleep anyway. I'm ready for him to be complete. Soon.

    37. So many beautiful dolls! <3

I bring my latest pic of Aurelia (DC Agatha) for you. ^^

(I'm planning of outdoor, dolls-in-the-snow type of photoshoot, and if we have proper weather, I'll get some new pictures of her for you.)

    38. Amos and Alberta are like my dream dolls, I can't wait til I can afford to get them! Though my mother forbid me from bringing them into the house since she finds them disturbing...Good thing I'll be moving out into a dorm come August!

      • x 1
    39. So many people find the aesthetics of Doll Chateau -dolls disturbing or scary. My boyfriend is one of them. I wanted to put my dolls to display on out bedroom - there would have been more space for them - but he said, that "normal looking" dolls were creepy enough, and he didn't want to see "the scary ones" [Doll Chateaus, that is] in there. But at least he lets them to be displayed in elsewhere.

    40. I finished Chael's faceup and I like it better than his old one. Now I need to find his black wig, this yellow one is for when he's street performing with Jamie. He looks pink in this photo even though he's yellow. The super small iris eyes really changed his look.

    41. @SteamWitch I like Chael's style :) He's so bright.

I can finally post in this thread myself! After a long wait my Austin and Colin are finally home. Although I've customized both I've yet to take a picture of both of them together so here's Orpheus, my Austin, for now. I just finished his alpaca wig yesterday so I was excited to show him off... :) There's barely enough of his sculpt around at all though, from what I've looked around! I wish I saw more people with him...

    42. Hi everyone! Its my first time posting in this thread as I only joined the Doll Chataeu family this week. This is Will (he's a Hugh). I just adore him so much <3

    43. What a cutie! :whee::aheartbea

    44. @princesspetal ahhhh!!! Hello! Your boy looks so soft and cute... ;v; my own Hugh looks like anything but uAu;;; but that's one of the reasons i love this company so much. They can look super adorable and soft and at the same time pull of a darker more badass look too. x) I'd really love to share my boy's new look but I don't have him with me to photograph right now... instead I'll post a photo from a while ago I hope I've not posted to this thread yet. Anyone else to contribute to delightful Hugh spam? He was love at first sight when DC first released him and to this day I can't say I love this mold one bit less x)

    45. Thank you both so much :) Will is meant to be a gawky teenager and I think he pulls it off ok. Soenatte you're Hugh is totally gorgeous as well. I'll be interested to see some recent photos of him too if he has changed his look a bit but I'm sure he looks just as awesome :)

    46. I just sent off the fourth payment for Eugene!
I can hardly stand the wait at this point. I'm so close to getting my Matthew.
I'm hoping he arrives at MoC soon so I can just pay him off early.

    47. I'm such a huge fan of creepy stuff, I'm lucky enough my parents learned to accept this long ago, lol. Poor DC always gets hated on. I can understand, though, I see why people find dolls creepy. I also think old-style dolls are freaky as hell (weird baby dolls, etc.)!!!! I just tell people to try and appreciate the sculptural aspect of them. oh well! :whee:

Wanted to share my progress on my own Alberta. She's SUCH a big undertaking for me. Been in progress for 3 months, I get intimidated. There's so much of her!!!!! Please ignore my dinner next to her. :kitty1

    49. She looks really cool! I can't wait to see her all finished!

I haven't taken any new pictures of my darling Lenore in a while. A bunch of snow lit her up beautifully today. :)

    50. @thePaleEmpress, I love what you're doing with your Alberta. I'm very impressed with her artwork. She looks like a truly fascinating character! And I understand completely how slow the progress can be on these very special dolls. I swear I spent months just coming up with the basic design concept for mine, and I only just started her artwork yesterday!:doh I know it's going to take a long time to complete her. My biggest problem wasn't in finding a concept...it was in narrowing down the choices from all the ideas that would pop into my head whenever I looked at her. Alberta is a sculpt that is so imaginative and uniquely quirky, she can be just about anything your mind can dream up. Endless possibilities!:sweat

@urbanizer, your Lenore is positively stunning in her beauty...what an awesome photo of her. I adore her faceup...it's truly lovely.:D

    51. Aww, thanks! I was considering redoing her face-up to improve it a bit, but I like it too much to wipe it just yet. :)

    52. She's beautiful! I can't wait to see her finished! :D

How pretty! I love her faceup. :whee:

    53. Wow, absolutely beautiful work with his faceup and photograph. I really love austin, I'm hoping I'll be able to afford one by the end of the year 0: it really is a shame you don't see more of him around

    54. Has anyone put Alma or Agatha heads on a K-Body-11? I noticed the neck sizing on them are just a little bit different but I haven't seen it actually done. Would it work out ok? I'm going to be getting Alma soon and was curious if I could order the K-Body-11 instead of the 07 cuz I don't love the extra neck joint as much.

    55. Yes!!! She is!!! She's a blend of the faun and the pale man :) I think she will feed on fairies and children as part of her backstory as well. :)
