@BrigitteJ: Your Ellowyne collection is awesome! Did you get "Any Wednesday"? I thought she was a great doll, but she really didn't fit with my 7 Ellowynes - I often change their looks. This doll seems like she should be displayed in her original style!
I love her outfit - she really looks ready for winter. I have been changing my dolls from the summer outfits to fall/winter - it is a good way to have some quality play time
I'm still working on the new shelves. Some Tonner-Ladies found their new place. But the big shelf is still work in progress.
Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a nice Thanksgiving weekend. Did anyone get the "Any Wednesday" Neema?? Here's my Dark Days Ellowyne ~
She is gorgeous. Bianca-Neema is beautiful with her blue eyes, but compared to "And Then Some", she seems to be a little dull. So no, i won't get her.
@BrigitteJ: Yeah I hear ya. I'm considering getting the Rave'N Ello or Neema upcoming but I'll have to take a look at the produced dolls. The samples:
@Mu Shu: Thanks! She's called "In the Hood" Ellowyne. I didn't care for her stock outfit much. I think "Rhapsody in Red" (Ashleigh) suits her perfectly.
@Merlin's Mom: I agree! I prefer this sculpt. This is my favorite Ellowyne I own, the old sculpt with custom inset eyes & enhanced make up. I bought her this dress (by LUTS) to do her justice!
@luluna: I see a lot of my pics disappeared, I refreshed all my recent posts and for now they are back.
Sometimes that happens to me...I think it's not that they go...anywhere...it's just we can't see them for a time. I think other people can see them, mostly. I could see yours...as I liked them.
Thanks so much Stellarphenomena for posting pixs of all your beautiful Tonners. They are wonderful to see. Alas, I don’t know if this is common knowledge, but the Dreamcastle site is closing down. I went to research a Tonner outfit that I happily just re-found and could not remember the name of it, and here is the message on their homepage: “This web site is for sale. We can no longer afford the hosting fees, which for over 20 years have been free to you. Please contact us for more information. The site will remain active until at least June 2025.” Oh No! This is such sad news! I’ve depended on that site for years to research Tonner dolls. What a loss to the Tonner doll community.
I use this site almost every day! I'm going to miss it A LOT. I'm happy to post my Tonner pics, I still enjoy these dolls regularly, so it's no work to throw them up on this site, even if there's little visitors.
I use that site all the time!!! This is awful. I bet if they'd ask people to subscribe for like $10 a year or whatever, they would (I would) to help keep it going.
@Mu Shu: I had that thought too. Hoping someone has contacted them with some alternatives. I'd consider helping to fund it as well.
HUZZA! I just was at the Dreamcastle Dolls site and it looks like the site has been saved!!! Here’s what was posted: “This web site is still continuing as a reference site, so fear not, doll friends! More details to come.” Yay! I guess someone has come to the rescue. I’m so relieved.
WOW! Stellarphenomena, you are awesome! Thanks so much for contacting Rachel Hoffman. She’s definitely Robert’s biggest fan. I can’t imagine she’d be happy that a huge reference source for the history of Robert’s dolls is about to disappear. And, I’m sure she told Robert about it. Thanks again for reaching out to Rachel!
Hello~! My mother has collected Ellowyne and other Tonner dolls for a while but decided to sell all of them (10 in total). She asked me to sell them for her because she is too tired to do it herself. But I don't know much about Ellowyne dolls and would be super grateful for any advice Do people sell them on ebay? or on a specific site? and how can I find out how much to sell them? (I ship from France btw but can ship internationally)
@Ho.taru: I suspect most Ellowyne Wilde dolls are sold on Ebay. There is always a decent amount of these dolls there. The sellers generally put them up for "buy now" sale between $200-$300. Unless the doll is a repaint/custom doll, when these are put up for auction, sellers can get $300-$450!
that is very helpful, thank you so much!! I was also wondering if there is a difference between Ellowyne dolls with glass/plastic eyes and those with painted eyes?
