Wow! Those girls are dressed to go out on the town. Lovely dresses! Are those all Tonner dresses? I was out of collecting Tonner for so long, I don’t recognize them. (BTW, who is the blond doll?)
@Rabbit-moon: Thanks! Sydney is wearing Tonner separates. Shauna in the middle is wearing a dress and purse from VDC. Antoinette on the right is wearing a Tonner dress. I just got these shoes for Antoinette, love!
Thanks for the info Stellarphenomena! Your girls are so pretty! Sydney is one of my favorite sculpts. Wow! Those are some awesome shoes!
Stellarphenomena, I always thought Lizette was an incredibly pretty sculpt. Your girl is beautiful! And, I gotta say you are the queen of hot doll shoes! Those blue, metallic sandals are slayin'.
@Rabbit-moon: Thanks! I love doll shoes & boots. The blue actually looks shiny new in the photo, right?? It's because the sun is hitting them. In actually they're pretty old, still cute but I got lucky with that pic. (Miette's shoes, Lizette's shoes)
I was over at Ebay checking out the Tonner listings. I do love to look. It's been a while since I visited the Evangeline Ghastly dolls and I was kind of shocked at the paltry amount of listings there were. It seemed to be mostly Parnillas (who I never really care for.). It was sort of sad. There used to so many wonderful dolls to look at. If anyone has any pictures to share, I’d love to see some pictures of your Evangelines.
@Rabbit-moon: The photo you posted is the first EG, I believe! Very nice. The earliest (2007) resins were the best IMO. (plus I like changeable eyes). Plus her gown!! Very Morticia Addams. How I wish I'd been aware of her back then! Original Evangeline Ghastly doll (fall 2007) by a_birds_eye_video, on Flickr "designed by Joe Petrollese...Evangeline's exaggerated features fit well with her over-the top back story. She is a mortician's assistant, lives in an attic, dresses with a flamboyant Victorian style and has a humanoid pet skunk. The Wilde Imagination website says that Evangeline was inspired by Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, among other quirky icons." Evangeline Ghastly "Dark Angel" by Wilde Imagination | The Toy Box Philosopher I'm pretty sure I've posted this before but here's one of the two I have. I gave her a kinda vampire look. Sadly, they don't get a lot of attention. They both have short hair now so I need some new photos. Evangeline Ghastly (Wilde Imagination) by Stellar Phenomena, on Flickr With the popularity of "Wednesday", wish EG would make a come back!
@Rabbit-moon: NOT a Tonner doll, but thought I'd share this for reference. A Peaks Woods & Smart Doll doll I made gothic-themed.
I need to get updated pictures of my EG's (as I have a lot!) But here's one of some of my resin dolls resin beauties (2) par Mu Shu, on ipernity 2 early edition EG's just sold on eBay that I'd wished I had the money for. One was an original release and she went for under $500, which is really good for that first release.
Thanks Stellarphenomena! Really appreciate the pictures! Your Evangeline is beautiful! Oh! Wouldn’t that be awesome? A new Evangeline ala Wednesday Addams. I love her! Now, that would be an Evangeline I could not resist! Stellarphenomena: Oooooh! I totally love their goth style! I have a real soft-spot for Peakswoods dolls, though I only own one Peakswoods tiny. I’d love to have a 1/3 girl, but I’m at maximum capacity with my dolls. I really should cull-the-herd, but every time I think of getting rid of a doll, I fall in love with it all over again. Thanks Mu Shu! I love seeing your Evangelines! Those dolls are so special. Wow! An original release Evangeline went for under $500?! I remember seeing those dolls go for big bucks. (And, I mean insane prices. ) I wish he’d reissue EG, like he’s reissued Sydney and Ellowyne. I know Tonner reissued EG at one time, but I wasn’t crazy about her. She wasn’t “goth” enough!
Oh! She’s stunning Stellarphenomena! I love the 50’s vibe I’m getting from her. And, of course, her shoes are awesome! What size is this doll? Is she the same size as a Tonner 16”, or is she as big as Evangeline?
Thank you @Rabbit-moon! Yes, she's (Miette) the same size as Tyler and friends. She has the slimmer "chic" body though.
Stellarphenomena, you have so many gorgeous Tonner girls!!! I love them! Holy cow! The shoes on Annora are AMAZING! I Is that her original outfit?
@Rabbit-moon: Aw, thanks. I love some good doll shoes. Annora on the RTB-101 body has different shoes (larger) than Tyler size, so I have to buy her own. I am fortunate to have found some good ones here: Mary Jane (For RTB101)-MF-MARYJANE-RTB101 -- Facets Boutique has quite a lot of good stuff but they are closed until the end of June 2024. Annora originally came in a red dress. Tonner/phyn&aero-american Beauty Annora Monet-16rt101body-nrfb-clearance | Tonner Tyler Wentworth I dressed her in an "Alice" themed get up. The checkered dress is from VDC, it's fun!
I always wanted a Miette, but never found one. My first Robert Tonner Wilde Imagination doll was Angelique De La Nuit I do have quite a few Tonner dolls in my collection which range in size from Amelia Thimble to my Bridal Bliss Kitty Collier.
I love my Patsy's too, but their eyes have always looked too big for their face to me. If I had the courage, I would have liked to try smaller eyes in them. Has anyone done this?
Stellarphenomena, your Wonder Woman is stunning! I always enjoy seeing her! What a gorgeous sculpt! Xanadu Dolls, your Angelique is beautiful! I love her red lips and dark hair. Xanadu Dolls, this Evangeline is very pretty. What doll is she? (Why-oh-why wasn’t I paying attention when these dolls were first issued?! ) Wow! Xanadu Dolls, you do have a lovely collection! All Tonner dolls are welcome. I don’t own any Patsy dolls, so I’m afraid I’m no help with your question about eyes.
@Rabbit-moon I fell for her as soon as I saw her, she has a great face. Thank you. She's 2015 Shadow Figures. She has a cape but I prefer her without it. Don't worry I started late with these myself, and there are still plenty of Tonner dolls around on the secondary market. All okay, I'm sure someone will tell me.
@stellarphenomena I love Neema's hair in this shot, she looks quite different from the other Neema. I really should take more photos of my Tonner girls and boys to share here, but the weather is awful ... cold & wet! YUK! Here's an old one of my basic Ellowyne when she first arrived home.
@Xanadu Dolls: She's very pretty! Thanks for sharing. My Neema is a wigged doll, I keep changing her hair - it's fun!
Not sure if everyone already knows, but Tonner has a new Ellowyne doll. She is little red riding hood. You can see her at Happily Ever After doll shop. It sounds like there will be more fairy tale ones to come.
She is cute, saw outfits for her on ebay. I collect child dolls (especially tonner) but not sure where to find the doll
@Merlin's Mom: She is only sold here (and Ebay). I bought the wigged version - it's sold out. The blonde is rooted hair but I would recommend only with caution. Her hairstyle is NOT one length and is actually quite irregular choppy layers that you would have to play with/style. Anne Boutique — Virtual Doll Convention
Thank you for the information. Maybe they will have more in the future. Is she compatible with Marley in size?
@Merlin's Mom: I don't have Marley, but yes people have said she is Marley size, but I think Anne has a more articulated body and bigger feet. I'll let you know if more are released.
@Merlin's Mom: I got one of the Ello RRH dolls! She hasn't arrived yet. The last one he did was Alice. I didn't care for that release. I'm only guessing...but I think he'll do Snow White, Gretel, or Goldilocks next!
