Does Anyone Collect Disney Dolls?

@jenlovesdolls I look forward to your information on them! I really like some of the outfits but I don't need all the accessories or the dolls themselves haha.

 

I will be sure to take photos and add them here when I get them. I plan to try the outfits on my Momonita too and will post that as well.

 

I love the new dolls. Especially the one that looks like Delores from Encanto. I hope they stick around long enough for Halloween. It would be so fun to get Evil Queen outfits.

 

My Disney order arrived...I knew it was a lot but the reality kind of shocked me!
The dolls are really cute, they feel pretty substantial compared to some other dolls I won't name lol
I like the full knee articulation, but I do worry about the longevity of them. Some of the dolls knees are already a bit wiggly. Poor Tiana has a deformed leg and her ankle is super wobbly on that side from how she was in the box. The outfit packs are very well made. I tried the Olaf pjs on Tabs and they fit her nicely and the robe is so minky and soft I love it. I don't want to overload with photos but I took a bunch of pics and will add them in the spoiler. If anyone wants to see any particular dolls redressed in any of the outfits or any other details let me know!

I forgot to mention that these dolls don't come with stands. I have no room right now to put them anywhere. I have to get my kaiser stands and clear out a shelf for them. Poor things are just kind of laying around until then

Thanks for sharing @jenlovesdolls !! I wonder if the Sleeping Beauty pack would fit some of your Myou dolls? I love that one and Cindrella fashion pack and the Bell fashion pack the most. But I want to make sure they'd fit my Vieroudis and Soom Mini Gems.

 

I don't have my Myou's anymore but Tabs has pretty wide bottom so if they fit her they should fit the Myou dolls. She does have a tiny waist above her wide hips and bum, but I had no issue fully closing the back of the bottoms. She and Vieruodis shared plenty of clothes but they fit them both a bit differently but I could always get things to work on them. Myou is wider on top so the tops should fit them pretty perfectly, Tabs is tiny on top, so these tops are pretty big, but still look ok IMO. The shoes don't fit Tabs, I can't remember if Myou feet were smaller or not so the shoes may not work, but I am not positive.
I tried that outfit on her and also have a pic of her bottom area so you can see the shape. I put her in the Cinderella outfit as well. Tabs is my all time favorite doll, I can't resist. She ends up with everything in the end lol

Tabs is an Momonita by Atelier Momoni. I had pics of her with my Vieruodis but I can't find them. Let me see if I can hunt them down, I thought I did a side by side with them, but I may not have :/

It looks like I didn't do a side by side with them, not sure if this helps but this is my Vieruodis in a barbie top and skirt and they fit her perfectly.

 

@jenlovesdolls Thanks! I wasn't sure if the Disney clothes were comparable to Barbie because I own a lot of those haha

 

The majority of Tab's wardrobe is Barbie. She can wear OMG and some Bratz tops because she is so tiny on top, but I remember my Myou girls fitting the Barbie tops much better and their hips were pretty much the same size as Tabs. Tabs has a round bottom, where the Myou were not as round but their hips were a bit wider but measurement wise they were the same measurement, just different shape.
Pancake Boss on YT tried the new Disney doll outfits on other dolls like Barbie and other Disney store dolls. That video actually sealed the deal for me because I figured if I didn't like the dolls at least Tabs could have all their clothes!

 

@jenlovesdolls Ooooh I will have to look for the video. There's a few of the dolls that I really like their clothes but I am not sure if I want to buy them to steal their clothes.

 

@jenlovesdolls what about the other accessories? like the glasses/jewelry/hairclips? Do they work for BJDs or not really?

I wish they had been in stock on Target when I got them, but at that time none of the clothes or dolls were on the site.

 

@jenlovesdolls And Disney sent out their 25% off coupon this morning but IDK if the doll stuff would be included. I got the 3 outfit packs I REALLY wanted - if I like them, I might get more!

 

I would love to get some of these because they're so cute, but I've had such bad issues with shopdisney before and I don't think these will be available in Canada otherwise.

I assume if they fit similar to Barbie, the clothes would probably fit littlefee and maybe realfee? That would be adorable, too.

I love these new Disney dolls! I always wanted a Mulan doll as a kid but I'm not sure they ever sold one. Glad there's a lot of diversity with this new line too!

 

I had to rearrange some stuff to find a spot to put these. This works and saves me having to buy stands for them if I keep them this way.

Someone in the Atelier Momoni group asked to see Tabs in the Snow White dolls outfit so I figured I would add them here as well.
The top is very loose, but you can make it work, and the jacket looks bulky over the tops sleeves since they are poofy, but again, I feel it all works just fine.

Not anymore, and I'd have to deal with a rerouting service to ship up here more work than they're worth, even though they're so cute.

 

@ohbumblebee That's not fair! Target should be in Canada too! Are you near enough to the USA border to do a daytrip and shop? Or have any USA friends who can hook you up? Or do you have to pay customs? Target should be for everyone!

 

It used to be, they just...blew it lol. And not really, not right now. A lot of people up here miss it!

Alright, I finally put the 3 outfits on my 3 girls. I have to say, the fit is better on my Myou girl than on the Soom Minigems. While I did get the shoes onto the Soom girls, they were a little difficult to get off. ShopDisney is currently doing their 25% off sale for these outfits and dolls - I'm contemplating getting more but I am also not sure. I don't really collect play line dolls anymore so I am like "Do I really want or need these??" Opinions? And yes, I really need to figure out how to restring my Soom girls.

@jenlovesdolls Thanks! I am thinking on it - I like some of the outfits on the dolls too but I don't necessarily want the dolls so I have to really think on it.

 

There are a few dolls I really like but not all of them. I wish they had better quality hair, but we can't have everything and I am used to that with Disney.

 

@jenlovesdolls I was contemplating either the Belle, Cinderella, or Jasmine dolls - I thought their outfits were cute but wasn't sure which one really would be worth it.

I also grabbed a live action Ariel that I want to repaint. I’ve never liked disneys live action doll faces but this one shows a lot of promise does anyone else have the urge to repaint all of their Barbie’s after being in the bjd hobby?

I really wanna make ball jointed versions of my two favorite princesses, Tiana and Belle. And a ball jointed version of Ursula because she is my favorite Disney villain

 

They're packed away, but I still have my Ariel from back when the movie was originally released (I was 9), and both Belle and the Prince (with Beast head) dolls. Of course they're not perfect collectors items, I played with them quite a bit.

 

ShopDisney is currently doing 25% off the ily 4ever line. Cheaper than Target or Amazon prices. I of course bought 3 more fashion packs I had been eyeing to try on my girls - Jasmine, Snow White, and Rapunzel!

 

@jessholy Do the ILY 4Ever pants close in the back on your Myou girl? I was considering getting a couple of sets, some with the velcro closures and some with the stretchy waistbands, so I was curious. And do any of the shoes fit?

 

The pants do close on the back of my Myou girl and Soom mini gems. They can sit in them too. As for the shoes, I don't recall if they fit or not...They are plastic and can be tricky to get on and off (at least on my Soom mini gems). My girl is still wearing the outfit but she is not wearing the shoes so I must not have got them on or didn't like how they looked.

I saved some to my wishlist and I'll wait for a sale to get them. I really like the Haunted Mansion one. I also like the new Jasmine peacock dress but it also has the palace on it so I am kind of on the fence - most of the older outfits were less "LOOK AT WHICH PRINCESS I AM" and more "can you tell which princess I like?" - it wasn't as in your face.

 

I'm really looking at the ILY boy now... I want more of the fashion packs because I have a resin girl who fits some of their stuff, and it feels like I'm inevitably going to have to get at least a couple of the dolls themselves. But especially now that there are fashion packs themed to attractions, I'm so excited for that! The Haunted Mansion pack is a serious need even though it's not Bambi's style, and the Space Mountain outfit and accessory packs are a pretty close second (Haunted Mansion is one of my top three rides, and while Space Mountain isn't, anything space-themed is up my alley aesthetically-- and Party Martian can use some of the stuff that doesn't suit Bambi, at least until I cave and get one of the ILY dolls to wear all the things that don't fit her)

 

I fell hard for the Creative Soul Princesses and got all four (on sale!). So far, I've unboxed Snow White. Normally, I'm a "get them out of the box immediately" collector, but the boxes are as gorgeous as the dolls themselves.
My only complaint - I hate rubber bend-and-snap legs, and that's what she has. So I chose the closest made to move Barbie (a Signature Looks series 3):


It's not perfect, but with the full dress, it's not too obvious (I hope):

 

I don't collect them, as such, since I tend to acquire dolls randomly on the basis of qwhether I like them or not, but I've ended up with a few Disney dolls.

I have two of the ILY4EVER dolls


Which are pretty and the outfits are nice but the articulation is lacking (they have to "man-splay" to sit for example) so I won't be getting any more of them.

I have three 32inch Disney Princess playdate dolls (Rapunzel, Moana, and Tiana) that have quite nice articulation and are god models for sewing half-scale garments on ( I use them for historical garments)



And I have 3 repainted Disney Animators heads I've hybridded onti BJD bodies (two rapunzels on DearSD bodies and a Merida on he Amooooore Doll body sopecifially designed for Anuimators heads)
