Special Event DoA Shadow Swap!

I shipped mine on the 4th (priority, international) but I haven't heard anything yet...I'm worried it got lost.
I hope it gets there soon!!

 

I'm shipping mine in just a couple minutes.

EDIT: I shipped it on my way to dance class, so it should have gone out already. Priority mail, with tracking and delivery confirmation, just in case.

 

Bao and I are still standing by 33 We cannot wait to see what will protect him from the evil shadows.

 

Mine shipped, the tracking said it got there, but I never heard officially from the recipient...should I be worried? This is my first swap, and I am not really sure what happens and when...

 

Checked my tracking number today; looks like it has left the state.

 

If the tracking says it got there, then you can pretty much rest assured that it has. Recipients aren't always as quick to respond as we might like them to be...but rest assured that if they don't receive it, they'll be more than quick to point that out! Sad but true. Just consider it a done deal, relax, and hope they'll respond in time.

 

I've been stalking my mailman. Poor fella. Doesn't help that my husband has been receiving boxes. Argh!

 

Thanks so much for the reasurance....it helps! It was fun to make something and send it, and hopefully match the personality of the recipient!

 

Delivery confirmation shows that my package was delivered to my swap partner this morning. I hope they liked it! (and post pictures soon. )

 

My swap partner PMed me today and said she got her present! I'm so happy it got there safely and quickly. She said she loves it and will put up photos soon. Happy. Mine got here today, too, but I haven't had a chance to open it yet... Off to play now!

 

I noticed on delivery confirmation that my swap partner got my items. Hopefully, they liked them.

 

Just wanted to post here to say I mailed out the package but it was returned to me. So I'm going to mail it again and include something extra for the wait.

I want to ask though, should I pm my swap partner to let them know instead of leaving them waiting like this? I know it'll ruin the surprise but I wouldn't want to leave her thinking she's been forgotten.

 

The wait is going to be quite long for some of us anyway because there was international shipping in the mix. So it should be ok. That's my 2 cents anyway.

 

Er... Okay I think mine just got returned, and in retrospect possibly due to my writing the address wrong.. so to my partner.... (whom does't know yet) Sorry! its going out again on monday.... this time.. I print! Nothing in bound yet to me but the mail has been REALLY finicky recently so I'm not worried at all yet.

 

I have a confession to make... I only posted my package today My sister's getting married in a week, so this last week has been a MEGA week of business and craziness with dress fittings, hair & make-up tests, sewing of cravats, bejewelling of shoes...... you name it, we've probably done it these last 5 days I did however post it the fastest option that didn't cost me £40 (which would have been slower anyway since it wouldn't be collected until Monday, this way it has two extra days of travelling) and included a few extra nice things because of the wait I hope my partner isn't too upset! I'm really really sorry, but I don't drive and I live in a remote village with no public transport so I have to rely on people getting me to the Post Office Just bad timing really! I did tell them weeks ago when I joined the swap that I'd need to go to the PO this week but apparently more important stuff shoved that info out of their brains I had to wait for my own fiancé to get here and take me Anyway, I'll keep an eye on the tracking and hopefully it'll arrive soon ^__^

 

Aw. Poor Ehryn. I think most people are fairly forgiving of the kerfuffle that happens right around weddings, though. I'm sure your partner will not be upset at you.

I wouldn't worry, Ehryn. ​Usually in the good sprirt of a swap most participants are pretty forgiving. I'm sure most participants here, myself included, are more worried that after all their hard work, good intentions and / or planning that the parcels they have sent get to their intended destinations safely
For me I'm annoyed that international registered parcel post from Australia offers no online tracking.... so other than a stamped & dated postal slip at the moment I have no verification that my parcel's even left the country

 

I just wanted to say that I recieved my gift from Vitreausasnity13 Thankyou its so perfect! though one of my other dolls confiscated one of the items already, I will try and post pictures tomorrow, Thank you so much!

since my car blow up, i didn't get my package out till yesterday....(I got my car back!) so i'm sorry though since my partner is in the US, it i believe should get to you this week

I just received mine from Feather and I'm wonder struck !
It's a fabulous kit for struggling with monsters for my warrior-priestess Lycopê, complete with a little handwritten book describing all sorts of mythological creatures (and vampires too!^^), and a dark peplos to hide in shadows !
I put the 1st pictures on the gallery (well,if my picture manager agrees not to eat my pictures as it does sometimes these days).

 

Glad you like it! I got a little bit carried away with the idea, and just couldn't stop crafting ^^ She looks like a cool little warrior!

 

Well.....

I got my gift today. (I think I'm not entirely sure as I'm in a few other swaps.) My partner did not leave a note so I don't know who to thank.

I got a very nice knitted scarf. My other gifts were some candy and some stuffed bears that are a little big for my doll. They are however cute.

So partner, thank you for your gift! I'm sure I'll be able to find a use for the bears. Perhaps if I get a bigger doll some time!

I have added my photos to the thread. I feel I was a bit hasty last night in being as upset as I was. It's really not bad at all, perhaps just not what I was expecting. Everything is quite cute.

Ohh I'm desperate for my swap partner to receive her gifts! I haven't had anything yet but I mostly just want to see if she likes what I picked X3 I had to abandon my handmade part in the end since my sister's getting married on Friday and I just didn't have time to finish it But I added a load of other stuff to try and make it up! *wriggles impatiently* Darn shipping! my swap gift came back to me. I will re adress it and get it out tomorrow I am sorry to my swap person. they are in the Us so it shouldnt take too long (I hate my local Post office)

 

I'm keeping an eye out on the mail box and I also hope that my swap partner will receive the items I shipped. It shouldn't take this long as they are living in the EU.

My swap partner got her gift some time ago, but I haven't seen her post in here even once despite attempts to reach her. She told me the clothes I made and bought for her doll fit, at least.

 

I'm getting a bit worried, because the package shouldn't take this long to arrive and my swap partner has been online today. It makes me think the package is still somewhere in postal limbo.

 

Nothing on my end yet but the package I sent out is still floating in limbo I think due to the postal service. So i'm not toooo worried. considering chicago is known for their crap mail system so my partner do not fear! Also i'm still waiting for a working version of photoshop so i'm at the mercy of my friends photo editing software. so delayed photos are a possibility.

According to the delivery confirmation # my swap partner should've gotten their gifts from me on 8/18. They've been online since then but haven't posted anything (unless I've missed it). Hopefully they got it and just haven't had time to post yet. Hoping it wasn't mis-delivered anyway. ^^;

 

If your swap partner has not responded after two weeks from now, I think it's safe to say they either received your package or they didn't, but don't mind.

 

I still haven't received anything, but I do live in a moderately remote area so perhaps the mail is just a little slow...? I'm keeping an eye open for it anyway, our postie is really good and doesn't leave little cards (he either delivers it next door or just brings it in and signs for it himself if the door's unlocked, such a gem!) so I'm sure it'll arrive in the next few days ^___^

 

I haven't seen anything here but my package is still sitting in limbo, but it was out of the states so I promise its on its way!
