Special Event DoA Birthday Swap!

I haven't received anything yet but I'm not worried, it'll get here when it does.... (why am I not this mellow when it comes to my doll arriving?)

 

._. my partner hasn't recieved her gift yet. Kind of worrying, considering we sent both hers and my girlfriend's partners out at the same time, and his has arrived.

Oh, NZ Post. Don't fail me, and then expect me to work for you on Saturday. That's just too cruel.

I feel really badly - I completely flubbed the address when I sent out my gift, and it came back in the mail last week. It will go out again (with the correct address this time, I triple checked!) on Monday.

I am still waiting on my gift - hopefully it is not sitting at the post office waiting to be picked up! Our mail carriers are pretty terrible - they frequently fail to leave notices and don't even attempt to deliver packages.

 

Just out of curiosity, how many people (besides myself) have not recieved anything yet?

I'm just glad what I sent out arrived safely, though the recipient hasn't posted pics yet.

I haven't, but I suppose I deserve it since I screwed up sending my gift! It went out this morning, via Priority Mail, so it should arrive in a few days!

I have started to wonder, should we be PMing someone if we haven't gotten anything so maybe our partners can be contacted to find out if things are say just lost in the mail? I'd rather not get someone in trouble or anything but I'd like to know and assume my partner would as well, if things are just lost in the mail or if someone just forgot/had major life issues pop up or very worst case, used the swap and didn't send anything(Really, really hope and doubt this is the case. Lots of hope)

 

I vote that we wait until the 6th before we start poking into corners to try and find our lost presents.

 

It would probably be best to PM Truffle to see if s/he can contact your swap partners and see what's going on...

 

Yeah, I haven't gotten one yet either. I know mine has gotten to my partner, but mine's not here yet.

 

I got mine yesterday, I just did not find time to post. I need to send a thank you PM, as well!

I got mine! Now just waiting to hear if my partner got theirs.

 

Also don't forget that it was an international swap. Those of us who havn't gotten anything yet may have packages in customs limbo. Blasted customs.

 

I'm worried about that myself - I once shipped a wig to Canada that took about 2 months to get through customs (we thought it was lost for good!).

 

Hey! I just recieved my gift from Leenikins! She didn't sign her name so I looked back through these threads to see if I could find her doll's name and sure enough there it was! The gifts came all the way from NEW ZEALAND!
They are very thoughtful gifts: a chest filled with necromantic treasures and a cloak to protect my little guy from the harsh rays of the sun.
I want to take pictures but my doll is disassembled right now for more plastic surgery...so to speak! XD

Anyway: again thank you very much! *is very happy*

Finally got some pictures of my boy's gift from Mercredi! Very cute orange sweater and some really cute handmade candies n stuff! Really cute stuff ^.^! And we really appreciate it ^.^!
