I'm really hoping I can order him. I want this doll so bad

I will be ordering him for sure, but I'll have to wait till October. I still have my heart set on 2 of them but I'm almost positive I wont have the money for it even with layaway.

wow, he is REALLY really amazing. Wow. what a work of art!! His sculpt is beautiful, too. He is really wonderful! this is so cool!!!!!!!!!

 

I am so impressed with the wonderful design work that LUTS did on this LE Abadon. He looks absolutely amazing!!

Such a temptation . . . I've always wanted a Senior Delf bishie, and he's just made so perfect . . . must figure out how to order him. Can anyone tell me how long the order period is? I can't connect to the English website . . . my Firefox can't find the server - neither can my Internet Explorer for that matter. Strangely though . . . I was able to see something at both the Japanese and Korean LUTS websites.

Please let me know the length of the order period, and if anyone else is having troubles connecting to the English Luts website. Thanks!!

 

Ah, I've just paid my G.O. organiser my share for the dreaming head! 8D

The order period is until the 15th of October (1200h GMT+9/Korean time). I'm not experiencing any problems with the site.

 

Agh. Abadon is a wonderful sculpt, and the detail in that armor is to die for... I can't believe the amazing BJDs that are being produced! *sigh* So many beautiful dolls, so little money!!!

 

Abadon was always my Senior Delf fav and now with that armor *.* But alas.. if only I were made of money, looks like i'll have to let this one slip past...

Oh god, I'm so excited to get this hot body! I only pray that my huge minimee head fits.

I'm going with blue and bronze to paint the armor set with! Once I get the order ship notice, I'm going to have to pick up some model paints!

 

I've decided to go with a deep glossy red (think chrom's red) to paint the armor... only because I absolutely LOVED the way it looked when luts was posting the preview pictures here. Haven't decided yet if I want bronze or silver for the raised parts yet tho.

 

DiSpy; since the resin itself is blue, I'm not sure how well you'd be able to color unless you used lots of coats of paint. I also really liked that red though so I'll be looking forward to seeing pics of what you come up with :3

 

Actually, with the darker resin, it should be okay if you're going with a darker shade. In fact, I think the dark blue underneath red would give it marvelous depth. I can't wait to see how people will further customize their Abadons, espcially with the painting.

 

I suck at doing things like that which is why I'm having them paint it for me ^.^;

 

The resin looked black in the photos on the site? I think the blue came about by painting. If the parts are indeed black, I think that would make your red lovely!

 

Dech>> If he's the size of my MNM head, it ought to fit pretty well. It's one of the Sephiroth ones. I have no idea which. ._. I think it's pretty huge, though.

 

Anyone else agree that the LE doll is a pretty good representation of the forum? i find it so funny how even the color scheme is the same xD

 

Nope, they are a dark blue, not black. Even in the unpainted photos they are still blue. The only part they seem to paint is everything that is made silver in the other pictures. The armor is blue and silver for the angel theme.

 

Oh well, even better! It really does look black on my monitor! XD

Mine is one of the first few minimee batches, May 2007 I think. XD So his head is pretty huge! 10"! It looked pretty nice on the Soom Supergem body I had him on, so hopefully this one is just as good!

 

I'm pretty sure the whole armor is painted with blue again. The painted pictures have a sheen that you can't see on the unpainted pictures. If it's not painted, then it's glossed at the very least.

I can't see why it can't be painted red, using proper paints... If this guy is coming home (which I hope he is), then those armor bits are going to end up as a part of his flight suit, which demands a deep/bloody red colour scheme.

 

Mine is going to be painted a black and red color scheme to match the Vlad Dracula he's becoming. In a way, the fact that he has armor was just perfect for that.

 

Hi guys, I'm a little confused about the "body parts"? Does he not come with regular legs and hands? sorry if this is covered somewhere else, I tried to look through all 32 pages of the thread

 

Nope, he doesn't come with normal arm and legs, you've got to add them if you want them. Don't feel bad, it took me a little while to find them.

So, you only get the armor as his arm and legs? I admit to being rather dense

 

The armor is sculpted onto those limbs.

 

I haven't found any details about the "sword hand" y'know the gloved one.... since there is an optional human hand for that side - I get the feeling that maybe its a wired glove to hold the sword....? Any one know for sure? I should just ask on the Q&A hey LOL

It is not official answer and I don't know all detail exactly but I'd like to give some note


- Actually, if paint is thick, it can hide original color of armor resin.
Origianal color of armor resin is dark pearl blue- black. (You can see the photo at the bottom of ' The commander of Blue Knights ABADON' .. there is no painted armor pictures. )

So in my opinion - I didn't ask it to painters though - , if red or different light color is painted on the resin, the color would be mixed up with based dark blue color... I think the paiting have to be quite thick to hide the original color... or red painting would be violet or purple color ^^;;



- Sword hand is same hand, only attached on 'The commander of Blue Knights' instead of his right hand. ^^
It is human hand, but it is slightly different from original SSDF hand. It was designed to hold sword easily - indeed, I was surprised that the hand could fix the sword stable!! only little of shape was changed, but the hand can hold the sword firmly. - .

In my personal opinion again, the size of hand would fix the only sword grip.. not other object. ^^; The hand grip the sword with 'tick' sound when they are perfectly matched. There is no slit or point though... it is quite mysterious to me, really. ^^;

Can anyone tell me what size eye is sold with Abadon?
They would be perfect for my Cass!! If the size is right
of course...

 

Abadon takes 16mm eyes, but if that's not the right size, they look like eyes that are offered in their eye store in 16 and 18. http://www.eluts.com/frontstore/Ite...art_id=lutsdoll&level=&mother_catalog_num=128 there's the page for the 18s.

16mm might be kinda big. D: My Sard and Io (when I still had him) took 14mm, and had I owned any 14mm eyes with 12mm irises, I'd have used those instead.

I'm having the hardest time finding eyes.

 

There was a company I saw on the marketplace recently that sells custom glass eyes for I think 10 dollars. You might be able to buy size 14mm eyes made to look like that. I was thinking about ordering the eyes I need for his "defaults" once I got him from them so that I could get 16s with 14 irises and 14s with 12 irises for my Gary who'll share his body.

 

I am kinda looking forward to this doll...I am going to try and get him somehow...even if it means selling a bunch of stuff sitting in my closet. I like the style and design.
If I can get him, he'll be my first doll, so it will be even more special...
Time to go clear the closet nad start dropping hints of birthday money as b-day is around the corner....

 

This is a truely beautiful doll. I love the armour and presentation.. now only if my bonus comes thru.. sigh. Thank you Luts, you really succeeded in this one. I think Abandon has the majesty perfect for an Angelic.

 

Tis why I say, he's the type I will be willing to clean out my closet for to raise money to get him....
Need to start setting up pictures and crap so I can start selling stuff...

Alas, I can't show any finished pictures with my boy, either. I've tried painting him multiple times, but the pastels method isn't working that well, so I'm waiting on an my tax return to try and get an airbrush kit so I can paint him that way. I'll post lots of pictures when he's done, he's just quite blank and not-so-pretty right now.

I need to buy him some clothes, too. All he has is some t-shirts, ill-fitting pants, and his fullset outfit.
