I put my dolls to bed in their rooms, they have their own beds.. sometimes I take their beds into my bedroom :’) and I don’t think sleeping with your doll in your bed is weird it’s not like you’re cuddling it or anything hahaha
For as long as there have been bjds, there have been people talking about sleeping with them. I wouldn't, because I'd be afraid of damaging them, and I'd rather hug something soft and plush in bed, if I was choosing something to sleep with... But I can't think it is weird to sleep with your doll. Plenty of weirder things to sleep with, I think! It's your doll, and your sleep preferences, no one else's!
My doll is always in my bed haha! He’s where I won’t accidentally roll on top of him or anything. I don’t think it’s weird! I like to have the company and the immediate access to him, and setting him somewhere else makes him feel more like a thing than a character. I like to interact with him!
I wanted to sleep with him, but was afraid of being pushed out of my bed, and I put him on the bedside table or put him close to me. Sleeping with dolls is not weird.
It is not weird i think so. I always sleep with my favourite doll and he is fine (he is on my picture, 72 cm tall big boy) He has own little pillow 15*15 cm because his elven ears causes pain if push my arm all night. XD 2 years ago, when i started to sleep with him i used soft blanket and made a "burrito" from him to keep him safe. But some weeks later i learned how to sleep with him without that. He sleep with me very comfrotable and wear only his pajamas and little pillow. I love to feel his doll smell, and body warm at morning. The resin warms and cools down slowly. If i put my blanket on him, he is still human-warm after an hour later. But keep in mind, if sou sleep with your doll, you will need refresh the faceup and bodyblush every 2 or 3 months. And you will need magic eraser too, to clean the doll face. Sometimes the eyelash can take off too, because your breathing has vapor of course.
Okaaay. It's not weird, keep calm) But... do you wear gloves, when you sleep with your doll? =) Just kidding. Inspired by this thread: Do you wear gloves when handling your dolls?
They’re in my bedroom, but not in my bed. Between me, my husband, and my dog, they’d get crushed in seconds :p
I don't think its weird at all. If it makes you happy. I wouldn't personally as with my weight would be scared of breaking the dolls limbs etc so its a soft toy like a teddy I would take with me to sleep
I don't think it's weird, I just feel like maybe it would be uncomfortable and I would be scared to hurt the doll. I don't sleep with my dolls exactly but I tend to use my bed as a work surface so if I'm working on a doll I'll sit it up on my body pillow against the wall and just leave it there when I go to bed. That way which ever doll I'm working on is out of the way and safe but since it's still is on my bed I technically sleep with it.
I usually don’t sleep with my dolls but i have once and thankfully i didn’t kick him off the bed and across the room haha. I move a lot in my sleep so to be safe i don’t sleep with my dolls.
If I could cuddle my dolls at night I so would. I'm just way to afraid of harming their face-ups. When I'm stressed I'll grab one of my dolls and (if their big) sit them in my lap and hug them, (if their small) cradle them like a baby and pet their hair, or (if their tiny) hold them in my hand just to know they're there.
Noo it isn't weird! I love to sleep with mine but they have to be wearing a fluffy warm kigurumi cause if not they can be a little cold to hold but with a fluffy kigurumi oh my god it is like so nice to hold and cuddle with!!
I don't take them to bed. But there was this one day this past winter when I was really sick and couldn't get out of bed. My husband thought it would be a good idea to bring my newest (and then biggest) doll in the bedroom so I could see him. I'd only had him for like a week/week and a half at that point so he had all my attention. Anyway, he ended up on the bed to sit next to me while I dozed on and off all day. It was actually pretty comforting. I do however, pick a doll to sit and binge watch shows all the time when I get a break from the kids or my son is napping. Plus someone is always on my crafting table. I just have them around most of the day I don't feel the need to have them right there at night.
I do most of the time! Thankfully my bed is big enough for 2 people so I can safely have a doll or two sleeping next to me. I barely move or toss around too, and even in my sleep I'm kind of aware that there is a doll sleeping next to me so I never cross my side of the bed, lol. I enjoy tucking them in their little blankets, patting them and kissing their heads goodnight! I love to see them by my side when I wake up first thing in the morning, or even if I wake up in the middle of the night. I have also recently put a big chair for my dolls right next to my bed, so on the nights when I want the bed all for myself they can still stay by my side.
My dolls are barely ever out of their box because of some paranormal activity but if that never happened and I wasn't afraid of crushing them I would.
As long as the doll is safe, nah I don’t think it’s weird. I don’t think I would do it myself because her wig would get all tangled up and I have a bad habit of pushing things off the bed - my cat has to move several times during the night and it’s another reason I never had stuffed animals or dolls with me in bed as a child.
I really wouldn't want to sleep with my dolls because im so reckless when I sleep. I have legit woke up punching the wall because of a dream I was having... Haha.
I've always wanted to, but I don't think I have. I think I just assumed something would get broken if I did. And much of what I do is weird anyway, so that wasn't a consideration.
I think it's a cute idea. personally i don't take dolls into bed as I might damage them while sleeping. I will take my favoraite doll to sit with me while I am working. it feels nice.
I might sleep with mine but I already share my bed with another human. Another human who would scream loud enough to shatter our neighbors eardrums if he found one I our bed.
I sleep with my dolls , it is not weird I really love them. Actually I feel really safe when I sleep with them.
I do. and I'm all for doll cuddling. Apparently I don't move much when I'm sleeping with my doll so I'm not worried about em falling. They made me sleep better too.
I keep my girl on a stand on a table right next to my bed. I like having her close. Thank god my hubby doesnt mind>.<
Im all for doll cuddling too, ive invested a lot of time and money in my hobby and some dolls are important to me becuse they where gifts, my cain doll was given to me when i was in the hospital and became a big comfort for me so i cuddle him a lot when im feeling down or just wanna cuddle in bed. i think theres nothing wrong with it as long as you dont cross the line and start thinking it's a real person or something. for me it's just the big comfort aspect it reminds me of the person who gave it to me so of course id cuddle the heck out of my little man lol
I used to a little but I heard that can do a lot of bad things to their wigs and I sleep with my dog now so dolls go back to their dollie room.
Yes, I sleep with Chaeri. Yes, it's probably weird for someone who thinks it's weird. Fortunately people think I'm weird anyway. And they're right. Seriously, sleeping with a doll is no stranger than sleeping with a stuffed animal, or a dakimakura, or any other so-called "comfort object". I sleep with Chaeri every single night, but then I'm not much of a tossy-turner so she's in no danger.
Okay, I'm going to admit it. Whenever I get a new doll, I take naps with them a few times in order to bond with them. Considering that most of my dolls are SDs or 70cm ones, its not as dangerous to the doll as it would be if they were tinies. Sometimes I would cuddle with them, and sometimes I would just have them sleeping on the other pillow while my partner is at work. Since we sleep on a queen sized bed, they're okay if I put them on the other pillow. I don't move around a lot when I sleep, so whomever I nap with is usually safe. I haven't gotten a new doll for a couple of years due to health problems, but since my health is back to normal, I might start getting more dolls! Ryu
I have a little ledge right next to my bed where I can sit 2 dolls comfortably, so my crew rotates every so often!
I think it's normal. I know you have a mattress for your doll, but I think it's totally fine to even cuddle with your doll while you sleep. I still sleep with a stuffed animal; a teddy bear I've had since I was three. It's a pretty normal thing to want something/somebody to hold onto when you sleep. The only doll I have now - Clara - is a Littlefee, and she's a bit fragile. I have a 1/4 scale doll on the way, though, so maybe he'll be sturdy enough for it? However, I read something somewhere (perhaps in a manual?) about the resin having the potential to irritate one's skin if they sleep with them. I think it was with the context of children's sensitive skin, but it stuck in my mind enough that I'm a bit nervous about sleeping with my doll, no matter how much I would like to.
I dont sleep with my dolls, id be afraid of breaking something, plus i move around sometmes (tossing and turning) so i would feel very bad if fingers broke or something. if others do it, you do you. but i certainly wouldn't.
Not at all! Like some of the answers before me, I've slept with stuffed animals for years. Plus, if anyone on here wants to judge you for being a crazy doll lady then what the heck are THEY doing on this site, too? Right? Honestly, I can't wait to get my first doll when she's available again in December and figure out where she will sleep in my life Who wants to be normal anyway? It's overrated. Keep being, weird It's fun here! Lol
I don't but I have a small space on my night stand for my puki to sleep in near me. What ever makes you happy. Considering how much we spend on these dolls we can do whatever makes us happy lol.
I guess that would make me a "crazy doll man!" Being "normal" is definitely overrated. I also sleep with plushies. When my back is sore, hugging one helps ease my pain some, since it helps to align my shoulders properly. Ryu
When I got my first doll, it was shortly before I ended up on sick leave from highschool for two months with mono. While I had mono, I totally regressed and slept with my doll laying on my bed with me like a little kid
I don't, just because they're so precious, they're pieces of art, I would fear to damage them. I'd rather sleep with a soft doll or a plushie (or my boyfriend ahah), but I wouldn't consider bringing in my bjds. I don't feel like they belong there. Though I understand why some do
My large (68 cm), sturdy, and comparatively cheap (sub 100 bucks) son Jack lives on my bed. I did his faceup, made his wig, and his clothing is not irreplaceable or easily damaged. I'm not even afraid of breaking his fingers because he's got those ugly mirodoll paddles hahaha. His face (Impldoll John) was dremeled in a mod attempt by his previous owner and I resculpted the missing teeth. He's not a pretty boy at all, but its okay because I love him and he's nice to cuddle. He was a project through and through that I know I'll redo eventually, so preserving him isn't a great concern of mine. He has 0 resale value but I love him dearly. My more delicate and/or expensive dolls are kept close and will sometimes sit on the bed when I'm awake, but I'm afraid of rolling on them and breaking hands.
How?? Has no one body slammed their dolls, smushed them, or knocked them out of bed?? Maybe I have terrible sleeping habit, but I could never sleep with my dolls on the same bed
I put them on a chair beside my bed so they are near, but I'd end up crushing them if they were actually in my bed haha. I move around too much and I wouldn't want to risk breaking any of my dolls.
Back when my collection was much smaller I had them sitting to the side of my bed. Even taken naps with some of them as I was laying watching a movie and dozed off while laying fiddling with their hair or holding their little hands. I don't find it weird, they're just so precious to us so I fully understand why people would do it.
I roll around so much and tug the covers all over, but I do litter the free side of my bed with plushies and cute pillows, which have to be moved if my bf or sister visit and have to share my bed! I'd be too scared to tug the covers too much and cause a doll to tumble either off the end, or down the side! But I would like to have them more visible in my room, or in the room I rent for work, so I guess in a sense I want to sleep with them near me haha.
If I didn't roll around so much I probably would haha. I also have a dog that sleeps in bed with me, I'd be too afraid that not only would I roll on them, but he'd chew them up. Annnd my dogs come before my dolls, so he gets the spot next to me haha
Couldn't have said it better myself, I agree with the same feels. Thankfully I'm friends with my face up artist so I was able to get updates until I got her back
I will sometimes hug them into my bed to lay with me for a while in the morning before I get up.I choose them quite selectively, only my top 2 favorite boys will lay with me.
I totally sleep with mine. I have a loft bed with high railings so no worries that a doll would fall out. I keep a specific corner of my bed for dolls. I'm also not much of a mover and I don't cuddle with them either. Why? Sometimes the mood strikes me, or maybe want a little extra comfort
I don't sleep with mine because I'm worried about breaking one of them! I do like to have them in my room with me though
I would but I move too much and my dog joins me in bed sometimes. Wouldn't want anything to happen to her but I do have her by my bedside table to see her when I wake up.
I don't sleep with my dolls. I would be afraid that I would hurt them or that they might poke me if I rolled on top of one. I do hug them and kiss them and talk with them. They definitely feel the love.
I don't think I'll ever cuddle with mine in my bed. They're too fragile, and I toss and turn way too much. I actually have to keep them in a glass cabinet most of the time-- I have VERY naughty cats.
id be scared to crush my doll if I slept with them in the same bed, but it would be cute to make them their own mini bed
