Do you ever have your dolls keep you company?

Honestly I'm tempted to, I'm quite new to the hobby and currently Lumina is only allowed in the kitchen due to having cats - anyone have any solutions for being able to have them out but keeping cats off?

 

Rin watches TV with me a lot. Sometimes, especially if I’m studying something I am having issues remembering, I act out teaching a class to him. It honestly helps me study when I have no one else to study with. If I’m lonely, I read to him.

I always keep a doll on my desk with me! I love sitting small ones on my laptop

 

Right now, I'm sewing a outfit for Hraban, one of my SDs, so he's been keeping me company whenever I hand-sew at the kitchen table.

I'm also waiting for my first tiny to arrive, and I'm planning on having him as company while I watch TV and sit in my comfy kitchen chair at 2am, especially when I'm watching horror or disturbing dystopian apocalyptic-type stuff late at night. I figure that a Gothic bat tiny would be perfect for doing just that!

I've admittedly got a mini display of several from my resin crew on one side of my bed. The bed itself is too large for me to occupy all of it (I tend to stay in one spot most of the night), so it only made sense to fill that extra space with resin.

I also have them in various spots around my room. Right now I'm making a wig for the DSdoll Snake that recently came in, and he's been sitting on a makeshift stand on my desk while I'm busy watching livestreams, or doing writing.

I often have Sayaka sit next to me or on my lap. I really love her size, because she can lay next to me and I can hold her in my arm. I sometimes just have her sit near me when I’m working on homework, watching tv, or eating lunch. I kind of feel bad when I leave her in her bag, so I like spending time with her, and she always helps me calm down if I’m upset or worried.

 

I regularly had my girl willow keep me company by sitting next to me. I would get sick sometimes and she would be chilling on my night stand while I was alone

 

Sometimes I'll have one of my msd's sitting next to me, though now that I'm getting a yosd I think the company will be more frequent ^^

 

Yes, very yes. I normally have at least one doll sitting near me whenever I am on my PC. Right now I technically have 4 dolls by me. Though 3 of them kinda live on the sofa for now, and I dragged one down from the doll/bed room on point to keep me company.

Edit: I forgot to add I will almost always grab a doll to sit by me when I am going to be sewing, even if I am not sewing for a doll. (Though it's super weird if I am sewing and it's not for a doll.)

 

I do it from time to time, just pull one out of their room and have them sit by me while I do stuff around the house.

Yup. I like to bring my really little ones to work with me to chill on my desk while I work.

Yes. Right now, since my partner's asleep, Ichi-chan, (my LittleFee) and I are watching a movie. I feel weird when I'm the only one awake late at night, and the only one watching anything. Its nice to watch something with someone, even if they're made of resin.

I also have Ethan, one of my SDs listening to what we're watching, since he's from the 1800s and doesn't know what TV is (nor technically radio either! )

For the past year and a half my doll Vish has been my near constant companion. I've had a lot of changes that came quite suddenly and having Vish around to cuddle and draw strength from has helped me more than one might think a forty-someodd centimeter hunk of expensive should be able to.
Here he is with me in the middle of a long day getting scans. Please excuse the state of his wig, throughout the day it became more and more mussed despite efforts to keep him presentable.

 

pardon the messy desk, but i usually have one of my dolls on my desk or by my side for one reason or another. Usually I'm crocheting them something lol

 

My mini-me and I have coffee together in the mornings.

 

I work from home and it's pretty boring if I don't have a dolly face to keep me company.

 

I love having a smaller doll with me when playing video games! Usually one of my minifees.

 

I have a work table beside my computer desk and usually my big boy sits there along with another girl or two. The rest of my dolls are mostly MSD sized so they fit on the doll shelves. Sometimes I'll grab one or two and keep them with me but mostly that space is for the SD sized dolls as there is nowhere else in my place really that fits them.

 

I like having one or two on my desk - but of course I also end up playing with them more than working sometimes so it has it's pros and cons.

One of the reasons i got one of the off topic blind box dolls was so i could have on her my desk, and my cabinet where my other dolls are is next to my desk so i can look over and see them. I had to rearrange my space to make it fit there xD I'd have some of my bigger ones sit on my desk too, but I'm a bit messy, and i have cats that have zero respect for not using my desk as a bridge and knocking things over.

 

I love having a doll with me when I'm hanging out alone at home. Often times it's Pumila, my Muhan's Doll Lamb, because she's so small, but sometimes I bring my 1/4 or 1/3 dolls to sit with me instead. It's just nice to see them there.

I have a doll room but I keep my newest or a current favorite on my dresser to see every morning when I get up and every night when I go to bed. The only time I don’t have one on my dresser is if we have long term company or people in the house doing work. During those times I make sure all dolls are in the doll room with the door locked for security.

 

Yes! I normally work in my room, Violet has a dedicated spot on my drawers by my bed. I can turn and look and see her cute girlish silhouette to motivate me ;_;;; I also have a lot of fun changing her display slightly so I never get bored of staring at her.... Uough I love my dollchateau goat!

 

I've actually got Valkje sitting with me right now, every now and then I just grab one of my guys and sit them beside me sometimes. Means I end up with atrocious posture to allow them to fit beside me but the company is nice

 

My msd is just small enough to fit on my desk so he’s normally there when I’m sitting there. I’ll also grab him and have him with me when I’m reading or listening to a podcast.

I have a doll chair on my desk next to my computer and there is almost always a doll sitting there. If I have a new one I'm trying to figure out, or if I'm crafting for one, that's the one I chose. otherwise I just go with who ever I feel like hanging out with.

 

I like to have one sitting with me when I'm watching something. I've had dollies around while I was painting too, but I often end up with graphite or charcoal on my fingers and it would be really stupid if I forgot and messed them up not a good environment to keep them in.

 

I normally display my dolls so they're just kinda hanging out in my vicinity, I guess. XD

 

I have anywhere between one to like four dolls sitting on one of the chairs in the living room watching tv with me along with my Godzilla acrylic. Hahaha. If visitors come by, especially my young nieces, I swiftly bring my dolls into a different, closed room as my nieces (and even some older guests) tend to be handsy with my things.

My husband and I used to have some dolls on our office tables near our computers but both of us needed the space eventually. Still, there's like two dolls in the office on the shelf as I type this up. Hahaha.
