Lyon came out looking eerily like my college boyfriend in this picture

 

Yep! Wrapped some craft wire around a knitting needle (or pen) for the lens parts and fiddled with it (read: made half a dozen) until I was happy with a couple pairs. Had to reshape them a million times with whatever was at hand (crochet hook, pencil, glue bottle...) until we devised the aforementioned method to securing them behind the faceplate. Now they generally stay put and in shape.
