My Laeoh head shipped! It’s only been 5 days since I ordered. Are the heads in stock? Definitely wins the fastest resin so far!

 

Mine shipped too! I was really surprised. I thought I would have to wait at least 5 months or longer. If it shipped this fast did the artist already have it made and ready to ship out? All the doll makers I bought from never did this, so I am not sure.

On the description of the order page it said he would be shipped 2-3 days after payment was confirmed

 

I asked in the dm waiting room but I never got an answer or I guess no one knows, but anyone know of other bodies besides luts and dollfamily? Or what body do you plan to use if you didn’t get dm fullset? I want to start saving for a body and I want to see different options

 

This is my first Distant Memory head but I have 2 Nobility doll heads on Loongsoul 73 bodies with 10.5 necks (they also come with 11.2 necks). That is if you want a tall boy and the heads of the two companies are similar sizes. I don’t have any 65cm bodies though.

 

I never made a hybrid doll, but I know of a doll brand I do like the look of the body, but I am not sure if I can mention the brand because I don't see it listed on the on topic doll maker wiki. I never tried to make a hybrid doll, so I don't know if the DM head will fit with the body I want to put the head on.

Maybe immortality of soul will work? I don't know much about hybrid dolls. I haven't tried it yet.

I feel switch powder beige might match okay. I haven't bought a switch body, but I always look at the photos. I feel like powder beige might look alright with the skin color of laeoh. I looked at the laeoh head from the site again. From my phone he has a slight red look to his skin, but switch powder beige looks beige yellow.

I've seen some people match them with Switch bodies too! Not sure how well they fit, but definitely possible.

My head was shipped too! Since she stated how many heads she had beforehand, as she did with Hwayoung, looks like she prepared them beforehand . I wonder with which casting company she may be working now, does anybody know?

Esthy did say she had prepared a bigger amount this time. You can find it mentioned in the Q&A under the Laeoh head's pictures. Also, she had a picture of the heads waiting in a bag on her blog part (check January post), so that's why it shipped fast, I guess.

I second the Switch body. I have seen people using it. I wonder how good the resin match is.

 

Got Leoh today! I would say he even looks more handsome in real life!! I'm sure we all will love him ❤️

Can't wait to send him for face up (sorry for my terrible pics, I suck at taking pics T_T)

Thanks! That's how I originally understood the information as, but I started doubting myself when I saw someone say lottery. Oh I just re-read it and finally understood what the person meant. The person meant he/she wished they won the lottery, so could have bought a full set with the money. I don't know why I kept reading it wrong.

@ForeverTheFallenOne No lottery. Just read the directions on the blog page for Leoh (English toward bottom). When you emailed her, you just had to let her know if you want a head or full doll.

 

Sorry for the confusion. I just simply wished I had enough money to buy the full set.

 

I plan to buy new Laeoh body to be Switch 70 to match my Sunho (loongsoul 68) but I'm not so sure which one i should go HD70 or Attractive body 70 ?

anyone had try distantmemory head on Switch AT70 before? (also im open for other suggestions as well)

I plan on using a Loongsoul 73cm body with 10.5cm neck or 11.2cm neck. This is what I have used for my Nobility Doll heads. He’s coming tomorrow so we will see…

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but how much does a distant memory hwayoung head go for a resell price? I would like to buy one, but don't know what would be a reasonable cost.

Thanks ❤️. Does distant memory normally restock?Everytime I used to check her page I never saw restocks. I think I read on doa she did restock before. Does she restock still or was that a one time thing she did because the head was popular?

 

@Forever We Are Young i think I’ve seen them go for $900+ for just the head. Idk if anyone is actually buying them for that price

 

There’s a Jaeii head with a faceup for sale in the marketplace now for $290.

 

Oh I wish I could buy. I don't have marketplace access yet. I don't know if I can apply the moment I joined the site or the moment I got approval. My approval I think took a while.

Is that a normal cost for Jaeii's head? I saw on ebay before I knew eBay sold fakes ( never bought off of ebay because I thought the dolls might be fake, but I wasn't sure) hwayoung cost a lot more than that. I assumed the other distant memory heads would cost over $600.

On his left ear did you drill a hole for earrings? I really want to do it to my Laeoh but I’m too nervous lol. But since he’s based off of Namjoon I want to make it closely resemble him

 

Yes. I have a hand drill and I pierced both ears. I have done it many times. It’s easy and only takes a few minutes to do. I ordered small hoop earrings but they are in transit.

I thought it was one per customer. Is it one per transaction? Because I bought a head, but regretted not buying a full set.

I thought since I bought a head I couldn't make a second purchase for a second head or a full set.

I just got an awesome deal on a body for Laeoh head. It’s a luts body in their real skin peach. The color match isn’t super bad surprisingly. But from the start I had plans to dye my Laeoh. I want him to be more tan like Namjoon. I have to wait for more supplies and once I’m done I hope I can share pics here to show the results

I just finished dying my Laeoh! I love this tan color but unfortunately the body didn’t really match it (came out way darker) so now I have to remove it and try again. Sorry if this is the wrong place, but does anyone know the neck size for a 65 cm boy body( Distant Memory?) I’ve never owned one of these guys but also looking to hybrid a head of mine who needs a rather large neck hole and I haven’t seen his size listed anywhere. Thanks so much!

I have a lot more heads than bodies. I have all my heads in boxes with labels so it’s pretty easy to find them.

 

Just wanted my fell Distant Memory-ers to know I FOUND A HWAYOUNG :') so worth it

 

Congratulations! It took me a nearly four year search before I was finally able to find my Hwayoung. I got Sunho & Jaeii in 2018. Hwayoung early 2022.

 

Hi everyone. I got in love with Laeoh, never thought i can have one, but just tried my luck and sent an email yesterday evening. This morning i found out that distantmemory already replied that Laeoh head is in stock and I paid for it.
Now, I want to make a hybrid girl doll, can you advice me which company has similar resin color? I want a 65 cm young girl, not adult female, sexy body.

 

Hi there-I bought a Basic Crobidoll R-Line male Body in "Normal" color and the color matched my Distant Memory Laeoh head sculpt really well. The body is 22.5 inches tall (57cm) the neck size is 4.0cm. Distant Memory heads seem to be on the smaller side so I like finding a smaller size body. Good luck!

Update: I just received today my Laeoh head and is so beautiful! I am more n love than before. Now i am waiting for her body, a dollstown 18 yrs and the wig to complete her.

the site is cranky lately, doesn't accept photos easily.
As for the resin, i think that Laeoh peach yellow looks pretty much as Dollmore normal skin. An option that hunt my mind is Dollstown girl body, 17 or 18 yrs, but the price isn't very attractive
