@FindAlice Thanks! I have a bunch of floating heads, not just my Distant Memory one that really need bodies, and I really need to stop being lazy about buying them. :P

 

Haha I was in the same boat a few months before, but I dedicated this whole year to getting bodies for my floating heads, and it really worked out great! I only have a floating MSD head now, and I started with 6-7 floaters
Of course, I also promised not to BUY any more dolls this year, but that didn't work out well at all xD
I just wanted to add that for this body, the neck fits perfectly, however, pushing their head back is a bit of a struggle, but I'm not quite sure why yet. Perhaps some sueding would fix it, if I ever get to that lol

 

Yeah, we won't...talk about how many floating heads I have. >_> And I'd also planned on buying bodies this year, but then Wiliams and Volks happened. xD

Do the necks fit deeply into the neck hole? I don't have my head on hand, and I can't remember if he's got a deep neck hole or not, but I find when the neck hole is pretty deep and the neck fits far into it, that dolls tend to have a harder time looking back.

It wasn't too deep at all, I just checked, but I do see a tiny gap between the neck and chin?

 

I'm guessing their face-ups are done by Angel Toast right? Since they have AT's signature markings on their underlashes Great looking boys by the way, hope you can find them better wigs soon so that they will look even better! And super jealous that you got Hwayoung haha.

 

@pliskatesky You nailed it, I commissioned angel toast for both of them! She did an amazing job!
I'm still looking for wigs that might suit them, I've realized the grey wig is atrocious now that I've stared at it for a good while
Getting hwayoung was pure luck, I'm really grateful I was able to get him so quickly. I really hope others who want him will get another chance, he really is a beautiful sculpt.

"The company unfortunately does not plan to re-issue the dolls yet. Recently, my friend even asked them this question, and made it up that they do not plan. I just know that Memory will release soon JungKook from BTS."

@333r As Hiroki said, the artist hasn't said any word about re-releases, but I know there are some sunho heads on the marketplace! Keep your eyes peeled and place a wanted ad, if you really want him he should show up

OMG! I can't wait to see the final version of these heads. TBH I'm not a fan of BTS but I couldn't deny that Distantmemory's works are well-made sculpts. Let's see the result. I hope I don't fall in love with them. My pocket money is crying now.

I agree, DM sculpts are seriously well made and would make excellent OCs (which I am actually planning to do if the sculpt I wanted gets released). Actually I fell in love with the Hwayoung sculpt without knowing that he was a celebrity well until Sunho because I thought I saw him somewhere before, so I had to look them up Hahaha the final versions will definitely be great and my already bleeding wallet will keep crying out blood into the eternal abyss I guess...

I bought the head, Sunho, when I also didn't know about BTS. and then me told the people that he is Park Jimin and I was curious to know who he is. And I fell in love with Jimin hahaha. And then I became a fan of BTS and army.

 

I didn't know I liked BTS this much until I saw that Namjoon head. Time to prepare!

My first reaction to him was like he looks like a Korean idol and after that, I found out that he's an idol from BTS. Too bad, I found him 10 days after the pre-order ends. So I can only buy Sunho. Hwayoung is a rare item now. I hope one day I'll get him.

I think I'll become a BTS fan soon. After watching their new MV, I add Namjoon, Jin, and Jungkook into my wishlist. I hope Distantmemory sculpts and release them soon.~

 

@fancat Welcome to the club I'm a sucker for Namjoon's squishy smile. I'm too late for Sunho and Hwayoung but once Distant Memory starts working on the rapline, that's when my wallet will REALLY be in trouble. I hope Namjoon's dimples are included?? I can't tell if they're in the picture or if I'm just imaging it because I want them so bad.

 

Huhu I already have a doll that is referenced to Taehyung and JK before I discovered DM they already grew on me so I don't plan to have another Taehyung and JK head... hmm maybe Jimin or Yoongi for my next dolls

I had been really trying to figure out who that was LOL It IS Jin! Souldoll is totally notorious for sneaking what are basically mini-mees onto us. Onulhara (Jong Suk), Henry (our Reaper from Goblin), Yunki (Key. Really.) - etc. Plus they often sell just the heads!!!

What's the best way to get updates on the Jungkook release? I want to get it when it's released.

 

@reflair no one knows when JK will be released. it is known only by the sculptor himself. our assumptions that the sale will open at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

 

Is time limited the same as limited edition? I really want Hwayoung but of course it's past the order period, just wonder if they will release it again if it's not limited edition.

 

@reflair The sculptor writes that he does not plan to sell Hwayoung and Sunho again. But there may be little hope that she will change her mind and open again sales for them.

 

:v I really wonder why. She could make a decent amount of money and it's really just casting heads, since she doesn't offer face ups.

 

From her answers in her blog, it seems like she is a one-man company so she has to do a lot of work by herself. I think another reason would be she's eager to release all 7 sculpts of BTS members. I think the sudden increase in purchase of Sunho since people discovered her doll brand was unexpected for her (she had to make six shipments for him), since I think she just wanted to make the boys for herself and open orders to help pay her creation costs.

If there is a chance that she will rerelease the sculpts, I speculate that that would be sometime after all 7 are made, but again, the chances are low.

 

@Kayble everyone thinks so ... but the sculptor are just a fan of the BTS and it is difficult for her to do everything alone, she has to contact the firm as an intermediary. so it can be understood, this is really not an easy job.

I asked the artist about re-releasing Hwayoung, she said no intention to re-release yet, there will not be a formal sale other than an event. What's the difference between a formal sale and an event? Does this mean she might open another limited period order in the future?

Good luck finding one! I love the Hwayoung sculpt too and maybe one day I'll be able to own Hwayoung or another one of Esthy's sculpts. They're gorgeous.
