I wonder how many quantities she sold. She surely has prepared many to respond to the huge demand. I felt like fighting for BTS tickets, but I wanted a 800 dollar doll -_- ... okay some Tickets also cost that much.
The whole situation was pretty alike.

 

May I ask at what time exactly you sent the email? I sent an email exactly at 2pm kst and still didn't get a reply from Esthy. She stated that the full doll was sold within 3 minutes so I thought my order did go through but it looks like it didn't. I'm so disappointed... Really wanted to have a DM body :c

We have two theories: internet in Asian countries is better or Asian countries were preferred.
I have two distant memory bodies, If I had gotten one full hwayoung I'd have sold one of them... ARGH...

Really I've been looking for Hwayoung so long. I've had an offer once for 2900 dollar - a used and yellowed, even broken doll. I feel like giving up on this doll finally. The whole stress isn't worth it T_T This just never works... no matter how hard I try or search.

I've sent it at 2pm exact time in Korean time! I clicked between the 00 second and 01 second. Not sure how long it took to arrive to her, but I'm kind of guessing that if she didn't "chose" among Asian countries and non-Asian countries (which was my main theory with DeanDynamite) then there must be something about internet speed. As I remember for the BTS tickets I had to go to a cybercafé in Seoul and literally was FULL of Korean Armys to fight for their tickets because there the internet is much faster than the average in houses. (even that I could not make it xDDD). So I'm guessing it may be a possibility for what happened!

Yes, that's also what got me thinking. Someone I know has sent the mail at 1:59 in the last seconds of the minute, which is extremely early. Even with slow internet this MUST have been a success, but it wasn't.
If that's the case we should speak up. It would be extremely unfair.

I'm not sure if we can ever get a doll in any preorder of esthy like this.

 

And I think she knows that there is a huge demand for her dolls. I bet she was shocked for the amount of emails, but I think she should have properly stated the amounts and like, do 2 different ones? Like 1 order period for Asians, 1 for outside Asia?

 

That would have been an option, but It would be the first time I heard about this from a dollfie/bjd sales.

There is another thing about the quantity she had to sell. We never know but judging by the facts, probably not that many. If she had a fight with Nobility Doll and had to look for another option, it may be possible that even though she tried to get as many as possible in these months it definitely wasn't enough.

I don't want to defend her but I feel it must be hard to run your own company only by yourself with this huge demand. I bet she may be frustrated by all recasts and stuff going on. (It's just my thinking though xD) And we never know what other business does she has on hands (did she ever said anything? not sure) maybe she is a university student/ a teacher/ a mother with children, who knows!

 

Well nothing for me so I guess that's it.

I got my fav ones already at home (luckily) or coming in few months, Hwayoung is the only one missing from the list of dolls I want xD.....

 

Ah, I was not trying for this doll at all but I know in the past I had asked Esthy about the possibility of purchasing jointed hands alone. I had bought my E-Yeon (full doll) from them before they were released and didn't have the funds to purchase a full body again in order to get the hands as it was being sold only together at that time. Esthy answered that it was not possible due to the work involved in preparing the hands because they were doing all that work alone. Which is very understandable. This was years ago, so even then the stress of orders was being felt.

I think Esthy knows the demand, but just does not have the resources to do such a large order to fulfill fan demand at all.

And yes, I was also very curious about the casting company situation.

As for seperate orders by location, LLT did their orders in this way for the (also highly anticipated) ballerino dolls and it was still a click war with many dissapointed.
I'm not sure what the answer is when demand is so high. Lotteries also leave many dissapointed. It is hard.

I wonder if she would be comfortable using other casting companies? Like Haru or Fdoll or others from China? That would definitely help her out alot. Especially when selling dolls with high demand.
Clickwars are familiar for me Bought a doll 4 years ago that was sold out under 5 minutes too. The artist had a second preorder with limited quantity of 40, and yet again those sold under few minutes. The way it makes my heart go faster and makes me swetting was ridiculous xD

Luckily I have my Ihavedoll Tune at home so I can enjoy him while trying to find him a companion ^^

 

its Chinese App like Taobao where ppl like to sell their stuff. Ofc there are regit and recast there but its easy to tell which one is legit (from the COA, price)~
