I'll be ordering my own Jullis some time today too, just couldn't pass up on this great event DIM is having. And, with Owain's head coming home very soon now, I'm one boy body short already, so I've decided to order a complete Owain (again) as well! I'm thinking of modding the faceplate for the same body, like I plan to do with my second Laia head (though that will be for Julian's body).

I haven't been able to post lately, but I had wanted to add to my earlier comments on the new girl and boy bodies: the Ver 2 boy body is an absolute dream to pose, even better then I reported before!
In my earlier post, I mentioned the new bodies could do with just a little more range in the torso part, well, that's just for the new (immature) girl body, as this new boy body is simply wonderful! It poses so easy and natural, so lifelike in so many positions none of the other bodies I have can accomplish to the same extent.
Hope to be able to take some pictures soon, but it might be a good idea to already give the link on this 1st page to: D.I.M.Happy-heads, bodies,comps thread, in addition to the ones given in the first post!

It took me a bit longer, things got a bit hectic here lately (I got some great news health wise)! But I finally finished the Cardigan tutorial and posted the hat pattern there too (post #14)!
Svgjen: Have you already asked your friend about knitting something for your kids? If so, does she know what she's in for yet, with more on their way home soon?

Hi everyone, DIM newbie here - planning on ordering for their event ... most likely Miru
How's the posing on their bodies? are they double jointed?

PS. what size wig do they take?

 

The new girl immature bodies are double jointed. They take 7-8 wigs, I don't think any of them take smaller. So far all of mine are wearing 7-8 (Alpon, Jullis & Luria)

 

I have 14mm eyes in my Laia and they work fine although I can see the mold working with 16mm ones too.
(Either way, I'm excited to see what you'll do with your Laia :3)

 

The later sculpts (after Luria) have smaller heads. My Larina boy Julian wears 6-6,5 inch Leeke wigs without a problem, but Harlech's head is even smaller, and a 7-8 inch wig would be a bit too big.


All the wigs Harlech wears here are size 6-6.5 or 6-7 inch.

Svgjen: Yeah, in the previous picture of Julian he wasn't too happy just after I told him about his new big brother.
Recently, I didn't have any time for him, nor Adela and Harlech (who are still desperately in need of face-ups!). So, the news of yet another sibling on his way wasn't really the best timing...
But I took his plea for more attention to heart, and decided not to order an extra head for Owain, just his body, so there would be one less project taking up the precious time I have for Julian and the others.

 

I'm getting Miru for Christmas! I'm so exciteddd! She wears MSD sized clothes, am I correct? I'm ordering her on the new immature body.

i cannot access the marketplace yet, since I just joined. can anyone point me to some really cute clothes that aren't crazy expensive for MSD dolls? Also, what size wig does she wear?

 

GhostSparrow-My Miru came with a long dark brown wig that I think is too large. Right now she is wearing a different wig. It is a smaller 7/8 and is still a tad big. My Larina is wearing a 6/7 stretchy wig and it fits well.

Dollmore has a pretty large selection of cheap msd clothes, shipping is kinda high though. You could always try ebay too, they have tons of stuff.

Yah I'm kind of confused. for other people who ordered a DIM doll during the holiday event- I ordered from the DIM website, and i did not see the 10% taken off of my total. Does it get taken off after the order? when I ordered, it was still the 29th here in the US. Technically, it would be the 30th in Korea, but the event still should have been going on. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on the 10% and the free head.
also, how long did it take to ship?

I was pretty sure the price were already with the 10% off, but I could be wrong...

In the end I did not participate in the event since I found one in the MP.

The event will be over in 5 hours, I guess. When the working day starts in Korea.

Volchona - don't know about DIM specifically but other companies I've ordered from it usually stays "money transfer recieved" until shipping/shipped

What does confirm recipt(credit card) mean? does that mean that they just registered that I paid?

 

GhostSparrow - I think that one means they haven't confirmed payment yet (mine took nearly 3 days) - although on some other companies I've ordered from its had "confirm reciept(credit card)" up until shipping - does it have the option to cancel order? when the moneys gone through it'll have up "cannot cancel"

I dunno if Trisha's head would fit on a Happy body. I hope she does, though; she is awful pretty, but I don't care for the Pullip aesthetic.

Does anybody have the happy new girl body measurements? I just want to make sure the ones on the DIM site are correct - it just dawned on me this morning I have Miru incoming and no clothes for a girl MSD-size in any of my incoming orders so I've decided to make her a few bits, and as she's also my first MSD size girl (my MSD boy isn't here yet) I have no-one to use as a model for sizing. Thanks in advance for the help
