I just recieved my Doll Family H body (65cm Male in NS Pink, 3 piece torso) for my Doll in Mind BBjorn head. First impression I thought I would resell as the resin looked way off to me and the neck looked to thick. When I put his head on the body properly, it fit like a glove. The neck does look too thick for the head in some pictures, but I think its the way the head sculpt tapers in the neck hole that gives the "thick neck" illusion. Anyway, I got a chance to play with the body some and I really love how poseable it is. I also wanted a more muscley body that wasn't too tall- something close to the Luts Muse body height but would accomodate the DIM doll's larger head better. I'm going to keep the body and get the BBjorn sculpt to color match the body. I'm hoping as the DF-H body gets holder, it will match close to BBjorn's older resin. Side by Side, Front. Doll on left is my Arttong Dolce sculpt on a WS, Luts Muse body. I love this body for this sculpt, it matches the resin very well and its very slim. I wanted a gender neutral body for this character. Head was made 2020 and body made 2022. Doll on left is DIM Doll BBjorn (unknown year, probably early 2000s?). His previous owner took very good care of him, he has aged but is not yellow. Still pink but is clearly darker than the new DF-H resin. The DF-H body came with the paw hands attached (he came with normal hands, I just havent attached them for these photos. No flash. Side by side, side view. I love the definition for DF-H body. The Luts Muse body is supposedly 64 cm (with head) and DF-H is 65cm, but they look about the same height to me. Muse body seems to have longer legs but DF-H have longer arms and def more muscles. Flash on. Side by side, back. I forgot to mention, DF-H is really hard to stand and kicky- Muse is a very solid stander. I will need to tighten the string for DF-H and possibly suede him. Even though he's not a solid stander yet, DF-H has more poseability and range of motion than the Luts Muse body. Flash on. BBjorn, dressed and wig. He really fills out that tank top something crazy No Flash. Close up of side shot. The head sits well on the neck. No Flash. Some fun posing. DF-H sits so naturally cross-legged and he can swivel his lower part of the body to turn any direction you want him to do. Muse can sit cross legged but is a real struggle to get him to. I think the longer legs seem to hinder the Muse body from sitting cross legged naturally. Both crossed leg, but DF-H does it better No Flash.
Same pose, with Flash. The hands just crack me up. DF-H body does really well with slouch poses and back arching poses. No flash. Very expressive body. Back arch No Flash. No Flash. I cant wait for BBjorn to be completed. These two looks so cute together One final side by side
I have more DF-H resin comparison pics with other DIM resins and other company resins in this thread.
Nice comparison shots! Sorry the resin color isn’t a perfect match. (But, it isn’t that bad.) BTW, I love my DF-H bodies. They are such great posers!
I agree, resin really isn’t too bad. I’m waiting for Paulianne to open commission as she does color matching . She did such a wonderful job on my other doll, just looks so pretty in photos even when I’m a bad photographer DF-H definitely my favorite
