DIKADOLL Jointed Hands Discussion

Are there any pictures of the Version 2 hands in yellow normal on a Volks or other 60cm-65cm boy?

 

the White ones I bought for my DZ Yage are a bit lighter than she is and they are a bit small, but I love them and get nothing but compliments on them. Defiantly plan to get another pair for my Mana soon.

someone who have a souldoll and dikadoll hands??
I have a souldoll-double boy (Kanguk) and i really want's some jointed hands for him. I like the dikadoll hands.
I think the closest is the NS-P version - but i would love to see it in a picture.

 

If you go to Dikadoll's website, and click on the page for their jointed hands (like, say, the one for the 1/3 scale boy hands: http://www.dkdoll.com/productsen.asp?id=27 ), nearish to the bottom is a picture that has many resin comparison pics, Souldoll is on the bottom left. I would say the yellow is a little closer to Souldoll, although it's sort of more on the peachy side. Like Luts :/ If you have a yellowed doll it might work, although Souldoll resin also looks darker... I guess you could blush them.

 

I know there's a really good match to normal yellow, but is there anybody who would know whether there's a match with the Dika normal pink and Doll Family's normal pink? The size looks good, so a match would be fantastic.

Please help me? I am wanting to know, is there a dikadoll resin match for dollzone Isabel? I am not sure what resin color my isabel is..shes very pale..she was the default color. I would love to get her hands with long nails from Dikadoll. I think it would suit her so well!

Anyone know if theres a match for her?

I know someone already posted photos of the 70cm hands on an EID Akando but unfortunately I can't access them at the moment since it seems like they were posted in the Market Place sub-forum. I was just curious if the Dikadoll Yellow was a better match to the Iplehouse normal resin than the Dikadoll pink? From comparing company photos I would think the yellow resin would be a close match, though it wouldn't hurt to have a second opinion. XD;;

 

I have a question about the ball at the joint for DIM please.
As I've seen in your picture, it look a little bit large compared to the wrist.
Or I just be fooled from the angle of the picture.
Can you take more photo of your DIM boy with the hand please?
If it possible can you please take a photo of white resin hand compare with the boy face too?

I'm very interested in buying some jointed hands for my guys but I was wondering about the size.

I have a male Demongarden body (think Delf size), and I think the male 60cm hands would be too large for it.
So does anyone know if the 60cm female jointed hands would fit this body??

And does anyone know the prices of these hands? (Senior and female 1/3)

Does anyone knows if the jointed MSD hands of Dikadoll *(in white skin, boy or girl) will fit into a ResinSoul "Song" doll ???, I love Dika products, and I want a pair of every single one of my dolls!, I have found their work perfectly on BuddyDoll using SD13 size, and Iplehouse EID's using 70cm size, I assume they also fit on SOOM monthly dolls like Monzo since the body it is big, but it is a problem whit handling small dolls because the hands don't fit... :S

I bought a Green skinned Ju Doll from Bobobie, and I am as of yet to recieve her. (she hasen't been shipped yet) Any way I really want jointed hands for her. What kind of paint would anybody recommend to color the hands? I was going to order them in white, and paint them. I am unsure though if they will fit. So I am trying to wait till I get her so I can measure her wrist opening. I was thinking of a Valspar (paint brand) green, or a smaller can of green paint for like modle cars. But I don't want to ruin the resin!! Please help!!!

 

Use acrylic paint. Don't use any type of oil or enamel, just acrylic either painted on or through an airbrush. You should prep the hands first with MSC, aka Mr Super Clear. This is also used as a sealant after the paint is dry. You can get this spray from the Junkyspot if you don't have any. Then you can use acrylic paint, either craft or artist quality. I would recommend that you look at some of the painting tutorials before you dive right in.

Can anyone confirm that Dikadoll 1/3 girl hands in Normal Yellow match Volks' SD10 female bodies? I like the short nail version and I'd like to get them for a Volks oldskin body if it's possible for them to fit.

 

Cant say that it will be as accurate comparison as you'd like, but I might be able to compare my incoming Dika yellow 1/3 hands to some volks resins. My guess is that in comparison to oldskin they might be close but a little lighter, but I'm not entirely sure.

The hands I'm waiting on are shipping, so they should be here soon! ^^

 

I really want these hands!! But I'm nervous about them being too big for a 43cm Bobobie. (My soon to be Green skinned Ju doll) Any way, she is a msd size doll and I would love to have jointed hands. I know the jointed hands are for a msd doll, but I'm a little cautious about how they might look. Has anybody had any problems like this??

Bringing this back to ask something
I plan on getting a pair of hands for my WS AoD boy and wanted to know what colour I should get.
He has a yellow undertone, so should I go with WS hands and blush them to match, or would the Normal Yellow hands work?
I'm also curious if anyone ha a picture of the fit? I'm looking for 1/3 size male.

Is the wrist ball just a bit big for the female's wrist, or does it just seem that way in the picture?
If they are then that would mean they would be a better fit for the AoD male wrist, yes?

 

captnklaus, I actually didn't notice until you mentioned it. I had to drag her out of her box to have a looksie and you are right, the ball joint is slightly bigger for the female wrist. I don't have a male AoD to compare unfortunately but males do tend to be bigger than the females anyway. I just checked on the company site and the 1/3 males are listed as being 62cm so I'd say the ball joint should be fine for the male wrist but it's hard to say without having one to compare but just going on my picture, if it looks like that on a 58cm body, it should look about the right size for a 62cm, one would hope! Sorry I couldn't be more help in that regard.

I really like Dika's hands... but would they fit a SD10 body *proportion wise* ?

 

So I just got in my pair I ordered the v2 SD male hands (I like the veins a lot) in WS for my AOD.
I thought it would be good to post a couple of pictures in case anyone wants to see the colour/proportions of the two together.

The hands are a bit smaller than his regular hands, but not bad.
The nails are a bit long for my tastes, even though I ordered short nails, so I will most likely be taking sandpaper to them.

As for colour, well, it doesn't match, haha
I wasn't expecting it to, though the colour is a tad pinker than I thought they would be
But I plan on taking care of that with some blushing

Here is how they look



The wrist ball is a bit small compared to his wrist socket and you can tell that he is much yellower. His body is a year old and probably has some yellowing that makes it worse (plus he's been blushed), but AOD WS tends to be pretty yellow anyway


Compared with his normal hand (blushed lightly) and my LW K-Doll Kasis headcap

They are definitely gonna take some getting used to, haha

Overall, I think he approves ;3

 

Captnklaus, I found the same with the hands I ordered, the nails were more suited for a female than my male doll but it doesn't annoy me too much. I had the version one hands. Thanks for posting the v2 hands. They do look quite lovely. Sorry the resin didn't match though. Your hands look pinker than the ones I have. Mine are definitely more yellow tinged.

 

The colour probably changes from batch to batch I guess, so mine ended up pinker.
But that's alright with me.
I sanded and blushed today and they work much better

They came out darker than I meant to, but the difference isn't as bad in person and looks much better than before.

Really enjoyed working on these and they're so much fun to play with.
Need to get my other SD boy a body so I can get him his own pair, haha

What Dikadoll hand shades would match Soom NS as well as CW?

Also, it's been established that the girl hands don't fit female supergems, correct? I have one male and one female supergem, so i would have to get them both the boy hands in their respective shades...?

I just really wanna know if DIKADOLLl jointed would look good on a Dream of doll, Dream of Teen doll. I wanna I love the jointed hands. But I usually can't tell from my computer since its so brightly light pictures are not great a help for me. I'm still new, and am getting a doll soon but I want him to have jointed hands..... -Very spoiled-

Lenneth: That's exactly what bothers me. Their yellow seems too yellow, but then again, pink too pink. Might be my screen tought. I'm quite sure either will mach perfectly, so I try to figure out, which one would be better to blush for a mach.
In pictures, the yellow seems more light, so maybe it would be easier... *ponders*

 

You're right it's also what makes me hesitate, when i look inside the headcap of my Mihael, the skin is pinker than on surface. U_u
But i would try yellow anyway with the natural yellowing of resin and a good blush maybe...

 

I have a new real-long body for my boy, and it's paler than my Romeo head, but then again, the head is allmost two years old. Damn, I just hoped that someone would have shoved a pictures. Been hunting around in the forums, but not a single photo!
The why I asked about a pink skin is that in photos DZ pink normal seems to mach in dikadoll, and I heard that the DZ pink would allso mach Leeke...

This all sounds very interesting, and was wondering if anyone has tried matching any of the hands to an Iplehouse EID female(NS)??? If so, what advice in size and color would be the closest???

 

Does anyone have a clue how DikaDoll's NS Pink or Yellow would look on Resinsoul's NS? I have a Gang that I really want to get jointed hands for, but I'm a bit nervous about resin matching. I know it'll never be exact and I'm fine with that, but a huge glaring difference isn't quite what I'm after. Plus, would they look proportionate? Gang's hands/wrists are fairly slender and delicate-looking. Ideas?

 

I can help with the color, but not the sizing issue. Here is my RS MSD Mai NS (2010), with Dikadoll NS Pink (2010). The color match is really off, and is quite noticeable.

Here's a really blurry shot, but it shows the difference pretty well.
