DIKADOLL Jointed Hands Discussion

just putting my 2 cents here..... now i have not seen the Dikadoll hands, but i do have the Soom jointy hands.... what i can tell you about those is that they are made to fit Mecha Angel or Super Gem.... but, recently me, and a friend put them on a Volks Michelle, they fit and look fine. the size and the color "NS"..... also, for people who are concerned that they would not come strung.... Soom has changed their hands from pre-strung to a kit. so when you get the hands you have to string them your self.... they are surprisingly simple to string.... it's like sewing, you just go in and out the holes from say the pinky to the thumb (hard to explain) the only thing that is time consuming, is that the elastic gets frayed on the end and is hard to fit through the holes. i would not let the stringing scare you off.... we do not know if they will be strung or unstrung yet.

 

I´d like to know if any of both NS colors match with Iplehouse NS. I´d love buy these hands for my future SooRi.

 

Personally, I don't like the look of them (they look too stubby) but that's just my opinion. I'm glad that another company is giving it a go tho ^_^ I wish other companies would.

 

i love the long nails option they offer, but im waiting to see more resin comparisons.

 

I've ordered three pairs! I like them a lot, I own 4 pairs of soom hands and they are neat, but I like that there is now more options, more slender hands and also 'femenine' ones!

 

I still haven't found an answer to the question (in the other thread but it wasn't me who asked) whether it matches DOD Pink resin (particularly the more recent pink, around 2008, if possible ) or not...

I'm very happy that there are more options now. I think these hands will be perfect for some of my dolls that don't match the Soom resin.

 

Do Dream of Doll fit to the hand of normal pink skin? And how do you pay?

 

I'm actually wondering how the hands with nails would look on a Supergem girl. I realize they're made for 60cm boys but the hands don't look overly boyish and... well Supergem girl hands are kind of boyish, at least to me. I've been spoiled by the dainty CP girl hands.

I'm assuming that'd just be a "try it and see" thing, which is why I'm hesitant. If they didn't work for that doll I'd be selling them since they wouldn't really work for my other bw dolls.

 

I ordered a pair for my BW Delf as he really needs clenched fists, which I can't seem to get by bending fingers! I doubt I'll be too bothered if the resin doesn't match, as he wears sleeves mostly anyway! I think they're awesome-looking hands.

ETA: Just looked and I didn't make the first GO list! You people are fast! I PM-ed as soon as I saw the thread, which was not long after it went up!

I wanted to think about it, so I didn't put in for a pair until last night right as soon as I got home from work...so I was really too late for the first order, I guess. XD I suppose my name is on the list for the second group order, but I haven't gotten a PM back about that....
The long nailed hands are perfect for a character of mine...I was thinking I was going to have to get Soom hands and mod nails onto them, and now I don't have to!

 

dannnggggg =/ I thought i got to it fast but I got on the second list too..well crap. Guess that gives me more time to build the savings. oh well. I was so excited lol. ^^ Can't wait to see the first pictures! We should make a post in the BJD-opedia or whatever, when they arrive!

Yes, I want pair for my Soo Ri too, I love the jointed hand option. I just ordered a Soom Dia Boy with jointed hands, so I don't know how they compare to the hands that Dikadoll has, but they look like a nice option though.

 

The fingernails look great. But the back of the hands appear to be totally smooth. I would rather a more realistic look with tendons and veins.

 

I love the idea but i think that these hands are only for people who really want their dolls to be able to pose realistically, because aesthetically I prefer hands without the joints.

 

I think i could order some pairs long nail too,as i'm planning a demi demon character long nails are perfect at this point!

 

I ordered a pair in white (I'm in the 2nd GO) and I have a bunch of different white resins I can do comparisons with--CP/Fairyland, Soom, Elfdoll, Leekeworld, old Dollshe, MSDolls, Dolkot, DZ, Bobobie, FDoll...and LumeDoll, though I can tell you already that that one won't match. *heh*

 

I've bought a pair of the long-nail white hands off Ebay. I actually saw them there first, then in the news section of DOA. Even tho they are male hands, they're for my DZ girl, who has giant hands anyway! I'm not worried about resin matching as she's a bit of a frankendolly anway. From the sounds of things, I'm going to be waiting for 20-30 days before receiving them, although the 'quantity' section had 'more than 10 available' - guess I'll have to wait and see huh?

Yes, catas is the one to contact as they are running the group orders for them...however you have to have Marketplace access in order to become part of that, and BECHA isn't quite there yet. ^^;
I believe someone mentioned that they had purchased them off eBay, as well, though?

Yeah, I have them sent to my Taiwan house.. and won't be able to see it until I go back for vacation..
Anyway, I ordered NS, and I have Dollmore, DOD, AI, IH, Raurencio studio, Luts Real Normal, and SoOm normal to compare with. I will post a comparison pic sometime in October tho..

 

I ordered both colors of NS, in hopes that one will match my old Dollshe man; i have several other heads laying around for more matches.

Now i'm kind of wishing i'd put in for the long nails, as well, but c'est la vie; that can come up with the 70cm and girl's hands.

I know I definitely want a WS pair. But I think I would also like a pair for my Klum.. I think you may be right.. the yellow NS might be the better option. But I think the PS might be a better option for Leeke. Arg.

 

I so want a pair of these. I've got an incoming boy who either pair would be perfect for, so I really hope that the WS is close to CP WS. (and Domuya, I guess, as he's a CP/Domuya hybrid. I know-just what a flexibody needs-*more* joints. XP) I love these hands, i think they're nicer than Unidoll's and Soom's jointed hands, and those long nails are fantastic. I'd just live in fear of accidentally breaking one off. * ish clumsy* I will eagerly await your WS comparison info, acanthiel. I really would love a pair of these, so I'll be able to deal with a slight resin mismatch.

I ordered a pair of NS-yellow hands, the normal nailed pair.
I was lucky enough to get in the 1st GO! I ordered NS-yellow, with the normal nails.
Will post info once they arrive!

 

I rec'd a shipping notice on Wednesday telling me I'll have mine in 3 - 7 days. Its Sunday now so I'm hoping they'll be in my PO box on Monday. I ordered white skin w long nails - can't wait to see them!

**Edit** I GOT THEM TODAY!! Ok - photos forthcoming but here's a quick review.

I got the long nailed white hands. They're not paper white, more of an off/yellow white. The ball joint at the bottom separates, and the elastic is held on via a hook moulded into the balljoint, in theory they would be easy to restring. The long nails could be trimmed if they are too long. They are well made, without seams or rough bits. I'll try and take photos tonight.

 

Hello, sorry to bother, but does anyone have any news on the 70cm hands???, I've read a wile ago there will be news "next week", and that was a wile ago... but I don't see any "news" about them anywhere.... T___T

OMG that first long nailed blushed pair confused me for a moment--I immediately thought of crab legs. I'd love a pair for my Domuya Faith; she's a spy and could use some real working hands

 

soon it might do to sd of 65cm? I just do not like a larger size and the only thing I drew the attention of the 70cm is for this class of hands.
