DIKADOLL Jointed Hands Discussion

Wow..I didn't order my hands more than two weeks ago. And they are being shipped now. ^_^

 

I got the shipping notice for mine nine days after I paid. I was prett shocked! I ordered from ebay though, I don't know if that has something to do with it or not.

So hopefully the NS hands will match one of my four NS boys decently and the BW ones won't look too awful on my Amber. *crosses fingers*

 

I ordered from Ebay too. xD I will do some Resin matching for ya guys with the WS ones. ^^

 

As I see there is still no one who compared the white toned hands with his DOD doll. I do not know if I just rather should buy white toned oder pink toned hands. T-T But I think I go to eb and buy from hz. hihi

 

I will be soon. I ordered white, Because they can always be blushed to the tone you need.

Iwakikatou, do you want the white hands to be compared with normal DoD resin (the pinky resin) or DoD white resin?

 

Wow. I must be completely Invisible. I bought WHITE for my DOD SHALL.

I am 90% sure the match will work for her because she is from 2005.
By the looks of it. Mine should be here today. haha.

 

I ordered my hands from ebay too & got them today! They were packaged so well it took a long time to unwrap them, but they are perfect! It only took about 2 weeks to get them.

 

im gonna bump again to see if anyone has a dollmore adam-sized doll they can try the hands on...im looking for both resin match and proportion. if at all possible id love to see the man hands and the girl hands and i guess the 70cm too tho they will possibly be too big...

i know the WS will not match. DM is way too white...so hopeful bump for NS...

Yeah, but is your DoD white skin or normal skin and does Iwakikatou wants to know the resin match between Dikadoll WS with DoD NS or DoD WS?

 

DOD Doesn't ever give anyone WHITE SKIN as a choice. Other than on Limited dolls. Like Delphine for instants. She came in NS, WB And Grey.

So, NS/ Yellowed Pink. is my girl. She's not home though,.

 

Well. I have DK NS on hand but I don't have my Kara with me so I can't do a comparision now.
However, DK NS is more like AOD NS which is creamy yellow.
DM NS will be more pinkish yellower than DK NS.
If you can wait, I will be home on the 17th. I can do a comparision then. ^^

Also, WS DK hands will not match any paper white dolls. That include BBB and Resinsoul. DK White is more of very light creamy yellow. Not paper white.

And for Pink DK hands, I think it will be a very nice match for 08 or more pinky DOD. I know sometimes DOD have very pink resin color and sometimes creamy yellow color... but DK pink is a very nice match with pinky DOD.
And for NS BBB and Resinsoul.. It may be a nice match.. but BBB/RS will be more pinky than DK pink....(just a little)

 

Does anyone have a compairison for Elfdoll yet? I believe Acanthiel's hands should be here soon but just thought I'd ask since I havent seen anything yet. (Don't you feel loved Acanthiel? Everyone is eagerly awaiting the arrival of your hands with you! )

my boy is over a year old now, and while i wouldnt say he's yellowed so much as paled, he has definitely lost most all of his pinky color. if i was going to buy them blind id probably just get the YNS ones (and probably just be way off XD).

but i would still really like to see them with one!

I got them some time ago, but never got comparison pics.
The Elfdoll white I have is a very pinky/NS 'white', and is from the limited Queen Ellie Sooah--I am not sure if the white skin resin used for Vampire Red is the same, since ElfDoll seem to like having their boys and girls have different resin colours. ^^;
Anyway, the hands are paler than my girl's resin, but pretty close in undertone. With a bit of blushing, they would probably match it very well!
The closest match in the house was to msDoll white skin, which is supposed to match Volks white IIRC? (Which, conveniently, was the head I bought the hands to go with, so it worked perfectly!)

 

I just heard of these hands today and I am interested in them. I'm also interested to see which resin matches these hands. (will read thru this thread later to find answers but for now I'm subscribing to this thread XD)

So far, it's unfortunate that that SOOM WS wont match...

 

I have been considering the sd boy's jointed hands for my bbb weylin or my future minimee.
i do like the look of them the newer girl ones are also nice.

 

Thats ok! I'm just glad you got them! I have an Elfdoll Red (yea, my first doll! Not the vampire though) on his way home so I may go ahead and get them later when I learn to blush

 

The DK Normal Pink resin matches nicely with the pinky coloured NS of DoD (compared with my dreaming Lahoo head), but my older DoD boy has yellowed and matches with the Normal Yellow DK resin.

 

Hmmm...the regular edition of Red is only available in 'Homme' skin, as far as I know...which is probably darker than any of the DikaDoll resin colours. I'm not sure, as the only Elfdoll resin I have is limited white. ^^;;; So I can't give any advice on normal Elfdoll resin colours. ^^;;;;;

 

Does anyone have the B&G white skin match? I really appreciate it!

I think the resin color is really close, almost perfect.
Dollmore has the best match so far.

Haruka, I can tell you DK pink will match BBB NS perfectly→ color-wise.
I don't have BBB boy in my house so I am not so sure about the ball part match.
Also, DK pink will match Dollfamily Pink skin if anyone is interested.

I will be putting up a comparison picture soom, which will include everything I have in my house.

Nope... I have a white resin pair and they're nowhere close to the color of my Heliot's resin. They *do* match my original-release BW Breakaway's resin almost perfectly, though, and the size is only a little larger than his regular hands.

I'm just not sure yet if I like having those hands on Al, though. I hate to admit it, but they creep me out a little.

im pretty sure i dont have any of the NS resins everyone wants to compare with however...im so fail XD

 

the hands came today. and i love them.

just by looking i can tell they will not match NS B&G or CP Luts/Fairyland and probably not Leekeworld but id have to look. theyre very pale and very yellow. they make my boy look pink again X3

Depends on what shade of white it is. the WS dikadoll hands are slightly pinkish. I have mine on a creamy white boy (CP/Domuya hybrid) and his hands don't quite match, but they don't look bad. A pure white or pinkish white body would probably be a better match, but as long as your WS isn't super creamy-yellowish white, it shouldn't be too awful a match.

 

my AOD WS matches CP almost perfectly...that might help a little...

 

does anyone know how the MSD hands(boy and girl) fit on boy and girl Minifees (as well as BW and NS skin matches)?

I see that a couple pages ago somebody mentioned that Resinsoul/BBB NS might be a good match, but does anybody have any pictures? I was thinking of ordering my boy in Coffee, but if I could have jointed hands for him, I'd order him in that tone.

OK, here is my story, I hope it comes helpful at all. I've got DK 70+ male hands in Normal Pink for my Soom MA, loved the size and shape, hated the color - way too light and pink. So, being impatient (and reckless), I chose to blush the hands instead of ordering the Yellow ones and hoping they would fit better. Below are the results of my experiment.

The moral of the story: if you find native Soom hands too expensive/small/stubby a simple blushing of DK 70+ may work quite well. The wrist ball joint is a bit big, but I don't find it a problem.

In fact, it's good that you didn't re-order the DK NS hands. Cuz the color will not match, either. DK NS is too light for Soom. You'd end up blush anyway.

 

Thank you so much for those pictures Katyok! I have the Soom jointed hands for my Sabik, but I always thought they were too small. You've totally convinced me to change over to the Dika ones instead... Can't wait till they get here

Someone waaaaaayyyyy back in the middle of 2009 mentioned that the 60 cm hands didn't fit right on a Domuya Flexi Perennial arm. I'm curious as to whether the colour was workable. Also, were the 70 cm Dikahands ever tried on a Domuya FP? I'm specifically looking for the girl hands, but the boy hands are okay because I can imagine the size difference.

And how about the 70 cm hands on a Soom SG, rather than MA? Too big?

 

I don't know for sure but i donit think the 70cm hands would fit a Domuya FP. The one i have is really skinny and wears Delf hands. the 60cm DK hands are bigger than the Delf hands. I cant change the hands because in order to get them on my Domuya body i'd have to crush the shooks...i dont have any small enough to get in the Domuya arm holes.

 

The_Alychmist, how different are the FP wrist sockets to the regular flexibody sockets, do you have any idea? If they're not terribly so, the 60cm hands should fit just fine, though I'm not sure about the 70cm ones. (If the 60cm fit, the 70cm would probably be too big.) My El has the 60cm hands and he's on a type N flexibody.

 

I'm dying to know about these hands on a female flexi-p body...

I can now contribute a little since I just got a pair of WS 1/3 boy hands. The color is a near perfect match for the Dolkot realskin body I received at the very end of December. Dikadoll's resin is smoother than Dolkot's, but other than that, the match is very, very close. The wrist ball joints are big compared to the body's slim forearms, but I don't mind since the mobility is excellent. I'm actually impressed by how easily and accurately the fingers and the wrists can pose!

I compared Dikadoll's WS to other WS resins I have home and it is in general too dark and peachy to match.

I didn't have time to take any pictures yet, but if ever you'd like some, don't hesitate to ask.

 

I ordered mine on ebay from the registered seller. They arrived fairly fast & ahead of schedule yesterday and I was quite eager to put them on Balsamine (who is an AOD MSD Fei with white skin) and I have to say, the Dikadoll hands looks really nice! The wrist joint is a little large and I am thinking about sanding them down. Also the color is just slightly a tiny bit pinker than the white skin, but I doubt most people would notice. Anyways, here's a few pictures! [taken inside at night but still...]

I just placed an order from the registered ebay seller for a pair of white skined jointed MSD hands; they will be for my Ringdoll Rebecca when she gets here too, I will definatly post pictures of them when they arrive! I cant wait!!

 

I know it shows on the page a souldoll normal, but is souldoll really that dark? I heard they were closer to the Delf colors. I was thinking about getting a pair of the girl hands for my incoming girl, but I don't know how drastic the color change is going to be from souldoll normal to dika yellow normal.. any ideas?

I do wish the SD hands had the same detail on the back of the hand (veins, knuckles, etc) as the 70cm ones though.. boo.

ah yeah~ but I had wanted the girl ones; I dont think the girl ones have the detail and stuff (i like knuckles and the bones, so i figured the girls would have a little definition instead of glove-flat). Thanks for pointing that out though!

 

Here are my new dikadoll hands on spiritdoll body. If my camera fails my eyes dont... its a PERFECT match.... this is white hands/white body and I needed to mod the wrist joint A LOT to get it to fit properly.

Do we have a confirmation on a Volks match for Dikadoll yellow? Also, has anyone ordered the 'type 2' boy hands? Is there a big difference between the original 60cm boy hands and the new ones?

 

In the order we had, both type 1 and type 2 hands were ordered. The white pair are type 2, the pink pair type 1. The main difference as far as I saw it was that type 1 both lacked the details of veins and that type 1 looked more feminine than the other pair.

 

I took the plunge and bought a pair of 1/3 female short nail white skin hands from the ebay seller (they shipped quick!).
Jointed hands = love.
Not a seam to be seen anywhere, the metal loops for the s-hooks seem to be embedded in the resin, meaning they won't (or shouldn't) pull out, and they have lovely manicured fingernails that stick out just a tiny bit from the tip of the fingers.
My only thought is that maybe the stringing hole at the base of the thumb perhaps could have been a little wider, and this may have allowed a wider range of motion, but it's so minor. Perhaps one day when I need to restring them I'll do so.

As I'm sure many others have said, compared to CP Beauty White resin, the Dikadoll white is more on the pink side, but meh, it doesn't really bother me. If someone really wants Dikadoll jointed hands for their CP BW doll, and the colour difference bothers them, they could hang them in the window for a while, or even blush the parts that are in between the joints more yellow- the joints would have a slight pinkish tinge that would look quite nice and wouldn't rub off (reminds me of the 'pink knee' Unoas).

If someone is unsure which size they want to get for their doll, you can do what I did, which was take the Dikadoll jointed hands picture with the measuring tapes, scale that to real size using an image editing program, print it, then carefully cut the hands out. It gives you a pretty accurate idea of size when you hold it in your hand. I cut out all three sizes, it's a fun reference. The 70cm hands are huge compared to the 1/3 girl hands!

gothspider: don't know if you'll read this, but did you use the 70cm hands on your Spiritdoll boy? Or the v.2 1/3 boy hands? I'm considering the body, and it'd be great to know which hands will fit (even if they do require modding). Thanks!
