It's a shame! I hope they wont get rid of the tiny line completely and maybe come out with new sculpts?

Yes KittyOrochimaru, it’s a bummer! I’ve always liked their 1/6 dolls. I own several, and their doll bodies are some of the best posers I have.

I hope you are right, and they do decide to come out with some new tinies sometime in the future.

 

There's also the discontinuation sale over on Clover Singing which offers the biggest discount (though only has a day or so remaining unless they extend it). I'm quite surprised they're closing the chubby line as that hasn't been out for that long (I think the 1/4 chubby anime doll have been out for less than a year!). I wonder if it's an 'artist has left so they can't sell those doll anymore' situation?

It's a bit of a shame as I was eyeing a 1/4 chubby body to replace my Xaga chubby body. I like the Xaga body but it has huge jutting out buttocks that kinda go into fetish territory and makes clothing a complete pain. I've been on the fence about the DF-H chubby body as can't find any pictures showing the body side on to see how big the butt is in comparison. I was hoping someone would post owner photos but as they're relatively new i'm not sure many people have that body yet. Unfortunately I don't currently have the money to pick up a body so guess I'll have to see if I can sand down the Xaga's rump instead

 

Darn it! I don't need to get any more dolls this year. I've been wondering about an Emile for years.

Does some one have a picture of Emile/Chubby 38cm BB next to a minifee or similar? I've always wanted to see how they compare to 45cm dolls but my Google-fu is filing me.

 

I have a 1/4 chubby big hips body with a minifee head on it. No resin match but it's a gorgeous body so the Tiny 30something cm one should also be awesome, get them while you can!

 

Wow! I’m really bummed-out! I went over to Alice’s and Legend Doll and all the information on DollFamily-H’s tinies is gone. It’s as if all those cute little dolls never existed. I’m kinda sad about this. I was hoping they might extend the date of cancellation. But, nope.

Gads! This is the third company to discontinue all of their 1/6 tinies. First, it was Doll Love, and then 5Star. (Both companies are defunct.) And now DF-H has discontinued all of their 1/6 dolls. This sucks because I really liked their dolls.

I guess I should be grateful that DF-H, at least, gave us a little bit of a heads-up on the discontinuation so I had a chance to get a couple of dolls before they were gone forever.

I’ll post pictures as soon as they arrive.

EDIT: 5Star is not defunct, as of April 2023 they are selling dolls again. They were on hiatus because of COVID.

 

It's so sad! My DF-H Pukki is possibly my favourite doll, she is such a great poser and so pretty, I am sad I'll never get another from them now.

Here is my modded (and dyed) 1/5 Xiao Chan, Clara the Ballerina, practicing her turnout and port de bras! She's not got a faceup yet but putting her properly together after her dye and dye-blushing was too good to resist. (a 6-7 wig, 10mm eyes from All That Glitters, a Barbie shirt that fits a bit snug, and custom ruffle warmup pants.)
(please excuse the worktable chaos. We did a LOT today.)

 

@Rosslyn She's looking amazing already ^.^ The fact that bjds can come alive even when blank is 1 of the huge reasons I love them ^.^ And sorry to be nosey but what are u keeping in that vivarium in the background

Well spotted! That viv is the habitat of my Blue Death Feigning Beetles! Super easy pets: they live in a box of play-sand and enrichment, and they eat raw carrot and a few other things. Their little Ten Gallon is on my sewing table and I like to watch their antics.

That’s one of the reasons I love DF-H bodies; they pose so well.

Can I ask what size neck and bust you went with for her?

I can't seem to find any photos of the large bust, and it's kind of unclear from the company photos which neck size is actually shown there...

 

Oh she's the original Xiao Chan, so she's got a flat bust because it was the "male" body. I just modded her lower bits. I don't think there was a neck size option then, I'm afraid. Thank you for your compliment! I owe this girl a faceup and I need to dye her extra hands and feet to match her body's current dye job.

I'm so sad! I recently fell in love with 1/5 via Huajing doll and I was hoping to add DF-H's 1/5 scale body to my collection one day. Well, one day may be sooner than anticipated.

 

This is so devastating! I wonder why they're discontinuing them... Were they not popular enough?
I suppose I need to order those extra hands I was planning on getting "some day in the future".

Luckily other companies still offer their 1/5 lines, but the DF-H are so beautifully sculpted

Dang! So this effectively closes the book on their remaining line of tiny dolls. What a shame.

I wonder why they have decided to stop making 1/6 and 1/5 dolls? Those dolls were so cute!

 

Not to spread gossip but I have heard through other doll manufacturers (Impldoll) that a certain known doll pirate got a hold of their dolls and is using them for known criminal purposes. It's affecting Impl's bigger dolls but it's not just them that got targeted.

Wow! What a bummer A WeeTiefling! DollFamily-H is a Chinese company; I thought the doll pirates were only targeting Korean and Japanese doll companies. I didn’t realize they were bootlegging Chinese companies too. I guess no one is safe. It’s so terrible!

If anyone else got one, these dolls have a 6-7 wig size, BTW. I started sewing a little for mine on a whim tonight. I used Clara for a model to stitch up some stockings that go to above the knee, out of some stretchy knit.

For a little more dollyspam, here is Clara, my slightly modded Xiao Chan. She's dyed to tint her superpale resin more pinkish, and her upper lip has had a little work. This is her Snowflake tutu for The Nutcracker. I haven't made her "Clara" Party or Nightgown dresses yet. She gets those and a faceup next.

 

I panic ordered Mian Chan on the last day!!! (Technically it's a day late, but the 1/5 section was still up on Alice's... so, we'll see - hopefully it goes through!)

I got her in tan skin with large bust and some extra hands.

Had planned to maybe get her some time in the future as a friend for my Huajing Teny (who hasn't even arrived yet ), but fate has forced my hand I guess. I've always wanted a tan girl and a closed-eyes sculpt, so I just couldn't pass on her! So sad to hear that piracy is possibly the reason they're being discontinued.

Anyone know what the wait time is like currently?
