I am also very satisfied with their service! Upon making my order I left a message about getting a figure of a different shipping method than the one I originally choose. They provided information about the shipping fee for the other service, on the paypal invoice, and said that I could just tell them if I would like to change the shipping service, and that I did. One hand was so thin that there was a hole in it. Everything else was perfectly fine.

After I sent photos of the hand to DDE, they sent out a replacement immediately.

I agree, Denver Doll is really great! I just ordered a bunch of eyes- and they had my package into the mail within 24 hours of receiving payment. Really nice company. I have ordered dolls from them in the past, and had equally great experiences.

Not with the original doll (it had the magnets installed backwards so the antenna wouldn't work properly and it had a deep gash on his chest) however that was Doll Chateau's mistake not DDE's and they were wonderful to work with, I sent them pictures of the damage and they sent me a perfect replacement doll within the week and a pre-paid shipping label for sending back the other doll (and it's lovely being able to call the shop and talk to them too!)

 

Bit late in this feedback - sorry.
I ordered for the Christmas event from Doll Chateau. While I have purchased 5 other dolls through DDE, all were done with layaways I managed using money orders. This time I used paypal for the first time as a layaway device, and I made so many mistakes it was like I had sent my brain on vacation. The ladies at DDE were patient, even cheerful, despite my temporary dementia. I was grateful for the human touch, if I had been dealing with a less personal shop, things would not have gone well, and I would've messed up my reputation as a buyer, not to mention I may have missed the opportunity to own not only Alma and Agatha, but the charming, strange little Nehemie, (who I know is off-topic).

Am I pleased? Yes!
Would I buy from them again? Happily!

Easily enough-- I was beginning to panic because I had not gotten a Paypal invoice until Thursday. She was the only one in stock, and I'm not sure how their website works factoring stock, so I hoped that I had gotten her!

Lupy was in stock and in the way I'd wanted her in, so as soon as I paid Thursday, she was sent out that afternoon and arrived to me on Saturday!

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes. There are a couple of tiny flaws in her faceup that I do not mind; a speck of fuzz on her chin and a run in the sealant by her left head fins. They even sent a super adorable folder!

No. I have taken so long to post because there were issues being resolved with Fairyland. While Fairyland was terrible and rude, Denver Doll was great and always answered my emails quickly and did everything they could to help resolve the issues. At one point communication broke down between the three of us, but eventually (9 months later) everything has been as resolved as it's going to get.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
No. Not Denver Doll's fault.

Were you satisfied with the product?
No. But I was mostly satisfied with how Denver Doll handled the situation.

* How was the communication?
I got an automated confirmation and then an invoice with shipping added, and another automated message when the order shipped. Pretty standard communication for a small-ish online order.

* How easy was it to pay?
PayPal. PayPal is so easy it’s horrible.

* How long did it take to ship?
It shipped two days after I ordered, not bad at all.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The price for the eye putty was a little steep for the amount you get, but so far it seems to be good quality and it’s not like you need that much. It has very little odor, is a neutral color and isn’t greasy, sticky or stringy which are all important things to me and all seem difficult to find in one product as I've tried about fifty billion different kinds of pliant things in my quest for the ultimate eyeball-sticker-inner.

We’ll see how it holds up to time, but right now I’m pleased with it. The eye putty is Leeke World brand. The glue I was just curious about, it seems to be water-based craft glue like Aleene’s or Elmer’s only a little less runny. It was actually worth it for the squishy refillable container which has a very fine tip and a rubber stopper at the other end so you can put your own glue in it after it runs out. You can hold it like a pen which is cool The glue is also from Leeke World.

Yes, photos were accurate although it’s hard to tell the scale of the eye putty jars.

They seem like a reliable company and I'll be placing an order with them again soon for a doll head. I usually like the Mack's silicone stuff for eye putty but since some of the new eyes are silicone, I had to find an alternative, the product they sell fits the bill and the service was good.

(Edit: I'm also not 1000% sure about the non-damaging-to-silicone-eyes idea, I could be totally wrong about that so I thought I'd update this. Research has led to conflicting conclusions. The One True Putty search continues, but in a pinch this stuff isn't the most terrible thing I've ever used.)

Recently I wanted to buy a pair of high heel feet and I call them and ask them the size of the feet and instead of them just placing me on hold I was told I would have to find out from resinsoul which I tried to for days but because of where the company is located and the language barrier I have still not found out. All it would have taken a couple of minutes and they could have measured. To me that was poor customer service. I have had problems from them in the past with ELFDOLL orders and that is I believe why Elfdoll decided to not do business w/ them any more. I hate to bad mouth anyone but my experiences with DDE have been less than enjoyable as a lot of you have had ; I only wish my experiences could have been the same.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. Dearmine has excellent quality bjds. Only issue is my Debon has a shiny spot on his face up, a defect in the sealant just below his left eye. I will fix it myself as its not a big deal to me.

Okay, I really need to know...has anyone else become a victim of card fraud a short time after making a purchase from Denver Doll?

 

I've never had an issue and have made many purchases from Denver Doll.

 

I made a lot of orders through DDE as foreign buyer and never had an issue, they are a trusted shop.
Edit : I don't know why, perhaps they have change their staff but my last orders (since 2016 ) always had problems of quality checking, and with packages.

 

You could contact them and let them know that this happened, but you might want to check the security of the connection you used to make the purchase just to be safe!

Communication was excellent whenever I emailed them. Responses were given in less than 24 hours and in 10 minutes when it's their business hours.

How easy was it to pay?
Easy with credit card and they did everything when I switched to a more expensive doll. After asking/confirming with me to charge the same card to pay the difference, they did it without me having to fill out info again.

How long did it take to ship?
They sent me a tracking info immediately after I confirmed the payment for the difference.

Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
Everything came perfect. I was a little worried because the shipment box had the corners crushed and there were no "fragile" signs on the box either.

If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
The only tiny gripe I have is that the doll I ordered, which was not in stock, was taking longer than the estimate and they didn't send me an email update about it. A week after the given estimate, I emailed them and they said it should be a few more weeks because of ResinSoul having issues. More than 5 week after that, I still don't see anything so I email them again about it. I understand that it wasn't their fault that ResinSoul was having issues, but I think it would be nice if they sent an update email if it was taking longer than what was estimated. They did offer me a cancellation or to switch my order to a doll they had in stock so I switched to a nicer doll.

Super easy! I went with the layaway plan where you put down 25% upfront and pay the rest when the doll arrives to them, and used paypal to make my payments. They emailed me and sent an invoice for the first payment, and pulled the second payment when the doll arrived to them. They emailed me every step of this process, letting me know what was going on

How long did it take to ship?
Once they emailed me that they had the doll, it only took about 2 days for me to receive her

The quality of the item and the level of care they put into packaging were both appropriate for the price.

I've gone through DDE three times now, and I will continue to go through them. They provide amazing customer service, communication throughout the entire process, and seem to actually care about their customers and providing them the best service possible.

Shown on a Dream of Doll Petsha. Wig has been modified with elastic on the inside to fit her head, as it was one size too large for her. That was my own fault, not Denverdoll's.

This is where things get tricky. I was originally told that my dolls would take 5-6 months to get here.
The email they sent me when I ordered the dolls was exactly this: "Thank you for your order! I wanted to double check before I charged your card--both dolls are a preorder and will take about 5-6 months to arrive from Doll Leaves. Is that OK? Your total with shipping will be $517.90. Let us know."
That's anywhere from February-March 27th. (Give or take a few days for shipping) I was hoping to have them both by April 25th because of the PNW BJD Expo. So the 5-6 month time frame was fine. These were the very first dolls I ever ordered.
Come February 27th, no emails. No shipping notifications. I gave it one more month and at the 6 month mark, I decided to send them an email just to check on the status of the shipping.
This was their reply: "Nothing yet from Doll Leaves, but it should not be very much longer. We will let you know just as soon as your dolls arrive at the store. We apologize for the long wait, but unfortunately we have no control over Doll Leaves' production schedule."
To me that feels like a polite way of saying 'Just shut up and wait.'
So I thanked them an I waited.. and waited. Month 7 rolled around, and while I was at the expo, I sent them another email just wanting to check in and see how things were going. I apologized for bothering them, but asked if there was any way they could check on the status. Both Doll Chateau dolls I had ordered had already arrived, as did a DearMine doll I ordered from them. So I wasn't sure why the very first dolls I ordered still weren't here yet.
This was their reply: "I understand that you are concerned but you really have nothing to worry about. We are in communication with Doll Leaves and should have your order in the next 3-4 weeks. They are a very small company and it just takes a while to produce and ship orders. I will email them and let them know we have anxious customers "
I could be reading too much into this, but that seemed a touch passive aggressive at the end. Especially because when I bought the dolls, they outright told me it would take 5-6 months, and now I'm being told it's going to take roughly 8 months to get these dolls. Dolls I paid for in full. Honestly I'm not very happy about this. Also, why could they not have given me a time estimate the first time I had emailed them. I've heard that this company doesn't like to be bothered about orders, so I was worried about contacting them, and now I'm even more worried. Also, the first email said 'it shouldn't be much longer' but two months is a pretty darn long time if it's two months after the initial estimate.
Also, if they know Doll Leaves is a small company it it's normal for them to take this long, why bother saying that it takes 5-6 months when they should be telling people it's 7-8 months?

To be fully honest, I would have hesitated in buying these dolls had I known it was going to take this long to get them.

I'm ordering one last doll from them just because of the fact that this is the only place I can seem to get it with the layaway type that I want, but after this, no. I'm sad to say I wont be ordering from them again due to the way things have been handled.

EDIT: So my last email from them stated that the dolls should be arriving to them within 3-4 weeks. It's been 5 weeks and still no communication. I'm really starting to think they didn't actually order the dolls when I ordered from them and, while that would normally be understandable, isn't what I expected at the time nor was it communicated.

I emailed them with specifically what I wanted (all applicable colors, style options, head sculpt, etc), and they followed up by invoicing me directly via Paypal.

They invoiced me directly via Paypal; not even a full 4 hours after I submitted my order.

It was a pre-order, but took just around 7 weeks to arrive.
