I'm really glad things are moving along for some of you!! Congrats! @Spuggey, your boy is adorable! Love those overalls!

I'm curious, is anyone else still waiting on their order? @sweetestfrog are you still hanging in their with me? Hoping for a shipping notice any day now...

 

I am waiting on mine. They did not send it on the first week like they said they would. I'll give it until mid next week to email them if there's no update. It's a little bit annoying to be left in the dark like this haha..

You might want to try emailing... I did and it seemed to just give them a nudge.

 

Nothing yet, unfortunately. I sent DOLKUS an email on the 2nd and then again on the 8th. They've always been great about communication so I'm not sure why I haven't heard anything back yet... My hubby thinks I should cancel my order, but I didn't wait 5 months for nothing I will have my doll

 

Sounds like my situation, I emailed on the 31st and no response I think I'll email again tonight (both Dolkus and Daydream), and maybe find them on their facebook page too. I hate feeling like such a nag, but I do agree that 5 months is quite a long time without communication. I'll try to keep your enthusiasm though, ultimately I don't want a refund, I want my doll @Ebisama what a pain! Crossing my fingers it ships for you!

 

I haven't considered contacting DayDream personally... Definitely worth a shot though

 

I got an email today from Daydream that my order that I placed at the end of December should ship at the end of March. So looks like the orders before they close shop and renew the dolls will ship out around then.

And my 6 month wait finally ended! My adorable Little Prince body showed up! At LAST I'm surprised at how light he feels, and the resin is sooooo pink! I have him hybrid with a Doll in Mind head, so I don't know if anyone would actually want to see him here (not to mention I have no idea how to post photos on DoA), but I just wanted to pop in and say that Dolkus finally pulled through. I admit, I'm a little wary of ever ordering directly through DayDream either, but I love this body since much and I'm eyeing their other boy body for another one of my DiM heads, so I don't know...

Glad to hear he arrived safe and sound! I finally managed to get ahold of DayDream and they said my order would be shipped to DOLKUS in two weeks. So just a little longer for me xD

 

Good to know! I also received my order this week! And surprisely, my doll and I have the same birthday! What a coincidence! I really can't wait to see him, but sadly I'm now far away from home However, I'm so happy to have the little prince Juliet. I actually missed the Summer Event, but luckily I bought the doll second-handed! The process of having my little baby is full of luck！

OMG they are super cute! I love your Juliet especially! I actually want an open-eye honey skin's Juliet but as I missed the event, I can only get a close-eye one. Your Juliet is exactly what I dream of! He is lovely!

Is anyone still waiting on the summer event Honey skin dolls? I am still waiting on mine, it's been over 7 months now.

 

I received mine a couple weeks ago. They didn't send me notification email on shipping. It just arrived?
The whole thing makes it a bit hard to bond with the doll ^^;

 

My honey skin Grace finally arrived! It's been almost 9 months, that was quite the wait! Maybe it was due to the manufacturing problems that they stated in their news update.

Well here she is! The honey skin color is more yellow than I was expecting. It looks similar to Volks Sunlight, but with a darker yellow tone.

Does anyone know the neck size of the Little Prince body? I'm not too worried about my hybrid plans but I'd like to know
I'm super glad they let me order before they discontinued it. A real shame, I hope they renew it and place a newer version for sale later down the line

 

I imagine the neck size would be the same as all the other bodies, since the heads fit on all the bodies.

And Day Dream made an announcement on May 25:

We would like to
inform our customers that our renwal process has been accelerated recently. Not
only head and body molds, but also other doll supplies will be developed as

It's amazing how quickly everything sold out. Just goes to show how much people love DayDream
I really hope they re-release the Pony Farm jumpsuits... I haven't been able to find anything else quite like them. Everywhere else just has overalls

 

I think.... I would love a yosd size doll from Day Dream. Even if they never do that, I absolutely love the height variation for their dolls. I'm anxiously awaiting their renewal!!

 

I also look forward to the new dolls and you're right, a Yosd one in their style would be so cute!

Wow, these dolls are beautiful! I found them through the BF page on the wiki- I LOVE Coco, especially with the faceup she's got in the site photos. I'll have to add her head to my wishlist to put on a BF body.

 

I'm little worried about Daydream... when they open again? Any news about it?

@Milo there still hasn't been any news from Day Dream on their English site since May 2018, but they had expected to be up and running in time for summer.

What a great look for your Coco In Love! I haven't seen a boy Coco, and your Rin looks fantastic!

 

I contacted them few weeks ago during their Summer Outfit Event. The event was promoted just on their Korean blog but they allowed me to place an order to get one of their lovely outfits. Daydreamers are always so kind!
They should update the International site soon, probably end of August.

I saw the new daydreamer Helen via Chole’s Twitter! It seems that Helen is Grace’s sister (or Noah’s? I am not sure)
And she said if everything’s going well, Helen and renewal Grace will be introduced as Daydream’s new limited type at mid-August.
What a exciting news!!!

But I think the date we meet Helen and renewal Grace will be postponed as usual...

Hi guys, I heard about DayDream open there order again! I am so excited!! I want to know which size of body for Helen is the best? Helen is so beautiful, I want to buy the head and find a new body for her! Thanks!

 

Here is my Nina (Daydream Coco + girl body) looking beautiful with her new outfit. I also received a new dress from The Pages. I hope the new Daydream site/shop will give us more opportunities to buy outfits for our dolls!

 

I wish Daydream's outfits come back on stock again, they are so simple but cute!

 

I'm hoping so too! As much as I like the outfit my girl's currently in, I can't help but think she'd look so much better in an official outfit from the company

I did have a question for other owners though, as I'd never actually heard about this company until receiving a Coco In Love in a trade, so I'm not all that knowledgeable about the standard quality of the doll and it's certificate, which has lead to a few things causing mild red flags since owning her for a month or so now.
Is it common for them to have more noticeable seam lines, especially on their arms and legs, and rougher canals for stringing? Because my doll has some smooth but really obvious seams, mostly on her shoulders and thigh pieces, and the cavity of her chest piece is a bit more rough than I'm used to dolls looking inside.

I apologize if these are stupid questions or if I sound like I'm over-paranoid, I'm just not familiar with this company and what to expect from them at all, and I the discussion for the company seemed like the best place to ask.

 

Hi @Onyx-Witch! Yes, Daydream dolls still have their parting lines/seams. I'm surprised she has a certificate! I guess Daydream started adding them after counterfeit dolls started being a really big problem. Daydream is such a small company, though, that it's unlikely that there's a demand for their dolls in the recast market.

One thing to be aware of , though-- Daydream has had a problem with the company they use to actually cast their dolls, so if you find imperfections in the resin, that's unfortunately normal. (These issues with the casting company is why the dolls were only available for sale once this year, and why it takes so long for them to be shipped out. Daydream is working on it!)

I ordered a Helen head back in September, and that hasn't shipped yet. :3 I realize it hasnt been all that long, but I assumed that when they opened that order for just Helen heads that it would probably be fairly quick.

Has anyone else ordered this head? ^^

The Pink Sailor outfit I own was supposed to be available only in the Asian market but when I contacted them through the website board, they were so nice to allow me to buy it even if I live in Europe. So, following their blog finally helps me to get more news about sales and available products.
About your question on noticeable seam lines, well, I own two Daydream dolls, a Coco in natural skin and a Juliet Special Summer Edition in Honey skin. The first one is just perfect! No seam lines and simply super cute! The only trouble I currently get - I bought her almost 2 years ago - it's about 'stringing' and that makes me think I should learn how to restringing her even if is a daunting task!
Juliet is also very pretty - I love Daydreamers' make up, almost similar to what you can get from a face-up artist! - but, she has very noticeable seam lines!
As @Peppermintsheep wrote, Daydream has had a problem with the company they use to actually cast their dolls, and my opinion is that it was a quite clear matter regarding their 2017 Summer Event dolls. After that event, they stopped selling dolls online and started speaking about a general 'renewal' of the whole product line.
I really, really hope they can solve soon the problem. I'm such a huge fan of Daydream dolls, they're definitely my MSD fave dolls!

Dumb question probably, but is Daydream going to discontinue or "remake" (I'm not sure what the correct term is here sorry;___ ; some of their sculpts? They are having a stock sale for Coco, Sally, Grace and Ryan, where both Grace and Ryan's description says "former version" while Coco and Sally's doesn't.
Plus Grace, Ryan and Helen are all under the "prerelease" section but their other sculpts are not?
I know they are having issues with the casting company that's why they are not taking orders for dolls, but I'm just curious of how much is going to change when they reopen

My Ryan has pretty bad seams on his inner thighs, which I might sand because he’s wearing shorts, but I’ve got no issues with quality - he’s great. The seam lines are easily dealt with in lighter skin dolls. Mine also came with a certificate so I assume Daydream does send them now.

 

Do you know Daydream are offering a 'Stock Sale' in their International Shop? I honestly hoped they could offer shoes and wigs for sale, I need them for my girls, so much

 

I actually really like their wigs, too. I wonder why they arent selling them anymore..

 

So I’ve always loved Daydreams glass eyes but I’ve sort of fallen in love with their dolls as well. I went on a bit of a reading spree of their blog - what a mess! I hope they’re able to move forward swiftly with the issues they’ve been having. I’m hoping to own my own sometime soon!

She did actually come with a certificate, but they had a spelling error, which was another reason I was questioning the dolls authenticity at first.


But this is the doll I've been talking about. I started calling her rue when I first got her, and the name pretty much stuck since than.

 

Does anyone happen to know if Warm Beige is a match for BF's 'normal' skintone on their Classic bodies?

I've always wanted Coco but I'm not a huge fan of their bodies, I'd prefer to use a Classic BF body to go with my BF/AR dolls.

Has anybody ever done a hybrid for Daydream head and Luts KDF body before? Kind of wondering if it would fit with the size and resin colour XD

 

Did Daydream ever post an updated shipping schedule for their renewed heads? I feel like they've been extremely quiet lately (I know they're going through issues with sora*iro, but still)

 

@asatou I know it’s a little late but as someone who owns both Luts KDF and a Daydream doll, I would say that the compatibility for a hybrid is mixed.

As far as neck and head, Daydream head will fit if you change the S-hook and replace it since Luts and Daydream have different head openings/s-hooks. I have a Daydream Coco and her head seems to fit fine in a Luts KDF boy body by changing the S-hook. Luts KDF neck/head hole seems a bit more wider than Daydream. Now, as for head size, Daydream’s heads are a bit bigger than Luts KDF so in that case it depends if you like or don’t mind bigger head with an MSD body. It might not be as noticeable with a wig. Finally, as far as resin color, well, I don’t have Daydream’s new resin colors (such as cool or warm beige) so I really don’t know about that but for the old normal skin in comparison to Luts’ normal skin... it’s a no match. Daydream’s old NS is a much pinker tone than Luts’ NS which is more beige/yellow tone. So unless you are willing to do a bit of modification to the shading/color of the head, it will not fit well at all in terms of skin match.

Maybe someone who owns a Daydream doll with the newer skin tones can tell you if those might be a better match.

 

Luts msd heads vary a lot in size though. I have two LUTS KDF and a Daydream Coco and my Coco is right in the middle when it comes to head size. Bory is probably their most popular sculpt and that head is pretty small, but I also have a Basil and her head is much bigger than Bory’s. So if you’re wondering what the head size would look like on a KDF body try looking at one of the kdf sculpts with a bigger head and not something tiny like Bory.

I’m not sure about skin tone since my Daydream is white skin and both my Luts are normal skin.

 

There's a new announcement on the Daydream website. Does anyone know what the legal issues are about?

 

They've been in a legal battle with Sorairo. My Korean isn't very proficient, so someone correct me if I've been understanding the situation wrong, but Daydream is claiming they have not received payments for dolls ordered/shipped to Sorairo. Sorairo then claimed that Daydream owed them money. Daydream rejected the claims and planned to meet to discuss them but Sorairo's president refused to meet with Chloe (this was back in 2016).

Rumors started to spread and Chloe's health took a turn due to it (they claim panic attacks and anxiety and needed therapy - which is a Big Deal to admit for most Koreans).

They now have an international lawsuit against Sorairo for defamation and business interruptions and the whole legal thing has been handed over to a legal representative.

There's a lot more if you really dig into the blogs, but thats the jist.

It looks like they’re selling the rest of their stock via lucky bags before some kind of transfer? It’s hard to tell from the news page. I bought one of the mid tier lucky bags just in case. I hope things improve for Chloe and Daydream comes back
