Thanks for starting this thread! Yay! To start things off, here are some pics of Coco's arrival and comparison pics with Tinyfairy.

The white looks more like the old Angelregion white, which had no pink tones in it.

Looks like they went for a more natural "hang" to the boobage.

Robin's "skull" looks larger, but the features look just a tiny bit bigger. What was your verbal impression about how the heads looked switched round?



Edit: Those pictures of the normal skin tone (is that a sleeping May head on the DayD body?) have an overall pinkish cast to them. You can tell by the color shift of what appears to be a white floor and grey panel framing.

 

hobbywhelmed: you got it right about the chest. I think the body switch looks fine, daydream features are bigger than robin. i'll be really cautious about the normal skin, those photos by sorairo are not the best, very grainy and in artificial lighting.

americonedream: haha, those hands are really cute! like how they even bothered with the palm, giving it crease.

 

Yeah, little details like that really show how much love and care the sculptors put into their dolls; makes them extra special. I doubt the Daydream girls can wear Bluefairy shoes or clothes though. Especially the shoes; such big feet!

 

Daydream's feet isn't that big, it's actually about the same size, can wear the bluefairy maryjane. In terms of clothes, my coco is wearing blossom lousia's inner white dress. As long as the clothes are not body fitting and have abit of space, daydream can wear them =).

some hand swap pics....so did anyone else order the daydream girls?

I got my shipping notification from Daydream today, I'm pretty sure I was the last one to preorder since I did it after they were finished (Oops!) The Pages are such nice people!!

 

Last_bus_home: thank you! coco's whiteskin is beautiful..and her hands! Her name remains as Coco, haha, i dont normally name my msd girls.

I hope you'll be able to bond with your girl when she arrives. I had to change my girl's clothes and wigs a couple of times before i bonded with coco =).

 

Might I push in a request to see if these lovely bodies can pull off leg-hugging poses? Their unusual hips lead me to believe they can.

I also got to look at the Daydream body (which is GREAT, although I'd prefer a flat chested body!) and fullset. They certainly are beautiful dolls!
Also, I would definitely buy from them again if I saw another sculpt I wanted!!

 

At least she has somewhere nice to go to. c: I really hope they release new sculpts soon! No updates in forever! D:

 

I'd LOVE them to release a happy sculpt!! Not a crazy smile or anything, just a peaceful one like a TF Tommy type. And FLAT CHESTS! (Sorry, but it's just a preference, the body is actually really great!)

 

I have that preference too, it makes it easier not having to worry about bust size! I'm sure we'll get at least one nice happy sculpt at some point! I really want a body to put a Sarang head on; she's just so cute! But the sculptor did BF work, right? So we'll surely get something along those lines. Fingers crossed!!

WOW! Turbow you've made her look so different to the company images! I wasn't a big fan of Sally, but yours is GORGEOUS! I look forward to seeing more photos of her as time goes on

 

The shoes got updated today, there's some really lovely colours!

Can anyone tell me if Daydream shoes fit Tiny Fairy? And how is the quality?

 

mk13 - TF can wear DayDream shoes, so as DayDream girl can wear TF shoes. I think they are made from real leather like Bluefairy judging from the smell and texture, but their soles are different from Bluefairy. Bluefairy shoes have thicker and harder soles.

 

Turbow's Sally inspired me to put some darker eyes and a darker wig on my Coco, she's on her way to her new home now, but here is a photo for reference.

Oh boy, a Coco! She's so cute. I feel bad neither of the sculpts ended up working for you! Hopefully Daydream will make new ones soon. I know they said they'll soon have basic sets, though it'd be nice if they sold parts separately.

 

No I'm sorry, I just couldn't wait. But Daydream announced they'd be selling them soon, including the full sets!
She does look a little like Denis, I think she looks most like Kevin, Bluefairy's limited boy.

It is a shame, but I'd really like another, a blank head so I could mod her cheeks a little higher and then get a different face-up. (Their cheeks are surprisingly low and you can't tell in the photos!)
I don't know if I want Coco though, I think I want Sally now Haha!

americonedream that's great news! I can't wait to see what they come up with, I wonder if they'll release a smiling sculpt any time soon. Shame about the no option part release though, I wanted a blank head but they're not selling those either for the foreseeable future.
The posing pictures are great, I've seen the body first hand and it is really lovely, but I didn't want to play around posing since she was being adopted. The only thing I didn't like about the body (and it's a really small thing) is that the wrists aren't as posable as BF dolls. It sits up really nicely though!!

I'm most curious about those hips, I've never seen anything like them! I really want a smiling sculpt too. And boys. > u > Because then if they make a boy body, I can put bf heads on that too!

I wonder how they'd each look in the same outfit - the DD has a more slender mid-back (seen in profile) than the BF, but that's offset by the higher tummy bulge. And the hips look a tad wider. I wonder if the DD girl will fit as comfortably into a slim-mini outfit as the BF girls do.

 

They posted a picture of the DD girls in a Sora*Iro BF outfit on the blog. It looks the same to me.

 

I don't mean into dresses, but jeans and tighter tops. As it is, I have to watch out for things sized to fit MNF tightly, because they're a bit too tight on the arms/hips of the BF girls.

My troupe are such tomboys....

 

Totes understandable! I know pants and things can be a pain.
I guess we just gotta wait til more BF owners buy DD girls so we'll know what fits and what doesn't. T:

I can't really help you with the body or what fits since my only Bluefairy is a boy and the outfit my Ofelia is wearing I made myself but I've got incoming Aplebin clothes so I can tell you guys how they fit eventually.

 

Nihmo she's gorgeous! I love her hat and those eyes! Is this the new default face up? I've only seen the limited. She's lovely, you must be really pleased

I just knew I had to make her a little hat as soon as I saw her. The eyes are from Souldoll btw. I buy all my eyes from them nowadays.
I added some more blush, pink at the tearducts, gloss and then eyelashes but other than that it's indeed the default face up. Usually I never get dolls with face ups but you have to with Daydream dolls. I was unsure how I'd feel about it but I'm absolutely loving it! She's so adorable and her body is super cute!
I hope they release more dolls because I'm certain there'll be more of them living here then. It'd be wonderful to see boys from them.
I'm getting a Bluefairy Olive to be her little brother. They share some resemblance don't they? uwu

 

I'm really glad you love her! She is so sweet and her face up certainly looks lovely, I think you only improved it.
I will have to look at souldoll eyes, I just ordered from Daydream; eyes and a wig. I really want some boots too, the ones without laces in Khaki, I think they look like wellington boots, so cute!
Her outfit is so sweet, I'd love to see more of it! I love hats but struggle to find good ones for my dolls.
Olive would definitely make a wonderful sibling for Sally and little brothers are so cute! I've been planning to get my Olive V an Olive little brother but I might end up ordering a sister if I'm not careful!

 

I have trouble finding hats for my dolls too. Luckily I really like simple hats like the one I made Ofelia so I can make more.

Hooray!! I'm so late for this thread! everyone dolls look lovely, I'm personally love Coco.
I really love DD body, its look so smooth at those joints.
I'm thinking of getting TF head and hybrid with DD body.
Do you think their NS will match well? I only find comparision on WS which DD look so different to BF.
Oh, and do DD pose better than BF or they are about the same?

 

I have a NS Sally and a TF May. I took a comparison picture for you. Sorry the quality isn't very good but it's evening here so the light is less than stellar.


DD is little more pink than BF but if you'd blush your TF head I think it'd look fine. From what I gathered BF tend to vary a bit between their batches so another BF could match even better?

I don't have BF girl, only boys but in comparison to them she poses almost as well. She can't move her head very much though. Even if they can't do super complicated poses they can look very natural, elegant and relaxed in photos and if I prefer that.
She can sit properly without leaning back. DD dolls are professional little slouchers and I love that. Slouching is important in this household.

 

kOii - New Bluefairy NS is much lighter than DayDream NS.
I don't see any possibility they can match but old Bluefairy NS (older than 2010) maybe somewhat matches.
For DayDream body, the legs pats can do more poses but quite sloppy. And it's not good at sitting pose, often tends to fall back if no support.

My May boy in the picture is a new one and my Sally sits like a champ since she can slouch so well. Maybe it's my sueding?

 

kOii I'm not at all surprised you like Coco, she has always reminded me of BF Kevin since the moment I saw her!

I personally found their posing to be much the same as BF, So much depends on stringing, sueding and wiring when it comes to posing and I think my BF dolls vary a lot. I didn't think Daydream seemed any better or any worse.

I totally agree with the wrist thing though, Their wrists/hands are nowhere near as posable and I thought this was a big issue, hand positions are important to me.

I agree with the wrists too. What's weird with my Ofelia is that one wrist doesn't pose as well as the other. I can turn it downwards but it's impossible to turn it up, like at all. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I may think again if the body doesn't pose any better than BF.
I will just get a whole BF or may be a whole DD when more sculpt is out.
I love the BF and DD head sculpts but not quite like their pose-able OTL

So I just discovered this company after looking at Pupa*Casa. Has the dollmaker for this company worked intimately with BF? I noticed an aesthetic similarity in the Daydream sculpts. Also, are these dolls double-jointed? o 3o Thanks~

 

spindlewood They are designed by Chloe Page, aka X'iao of Bluefairy. There certainly is a resemblance, but what I am most excited about is clothes. The Pages have been responsible for all the best Bluefairy limiteds and have already released some amazing outfits under their own brand, I can't wait to see the release of outfits to their Daydream store!
I'm afraid although I owned a daydream doll for a short (short short) while, I don't know much about their joints, knees and elbows are single joints, I don't know if their hips work any differently. They have beautiful bodies, though no options for different chest sizes at this point. I look forward to what they do next!!

 

Guys, guys, did you notice that there's a section for a new sculpt called Juliet? º 3º There's no picture of her yet but she's definitely there!

I was JUST thinking that this morning, I want a smiling sculpt too! If they ever make something like Sarang or Somang, I'd be on that so fast. (Once I have money)

Same here! They still aren't popular yet and don't make very frequent updates so this is a biiig deal.
