New project journal! The third from 2023 if I remember well, and surely the last of this year ^_^ -------------- Edit on 05/25/2024 : As I own seldom dolls in my cyberpunk universe, and that I slowly work on them, I think I will gather the females in this thread, and the males in the one of my Venitu. The girls are currently 7. They are named Abigaëlle (that has her own thead somewhere), Xesbeth (Dollmore Keeley Sum), Anita (Dollshe Amanda), Erika (Elfdoll Vivien), Joan (Blackcherry Ichigo), Petrouchka (Blackcherry Xiao Yu), Skadi (Dollstown Lily). So 6 will be on this thread. -------------- Xesbeth: Xesbeth is one of the older character in this universe. I had a first doll, a Dollstown Estella in paletan, back in 2011. I sold her, and always wanted her character back. I hesitated years long on the Dollmore glamor Keeley Sum, because, well, her attribute are a little too much for my taste. But they suit her character, so I finally bought her in 2018. What I'd like to do: faceup (first done in 2018, new one in progress on april 2025) manicure bust blush tattoos, a lot of tattoos, in old school style. Anita: This is about a new customization challenge I'm having with two friends. We need to complete a doll custo before december. I didn't choose a doll I'm owning for many years (I have so many unfinished, I couldn't choose a lucky one between my 'old' dolls). In the opposite, I chose my Dollshe Amanda, that I got this year through a trade. Her name is Anita and her stage name is Zoran. She is a dancer and a call-girl in my cyberpunk universe. What I'd like to do: faceups (2/3 done) manicures (in progress) bust blush (in progress) chest tatoo arms tattoos facial tattoo (done on two faces) wig (done on 9-8-23) I already made two of her three heads' faceups. Her closed eyes head is currently without faceup because I used it for her wig making (and I prefer a blank head rather than risking to damage the faceup). For the wig, I wanted bright colors on brown roots, so I dyed fibers in brown, yellow, green and blue. Here is the dye job in progress: Sadly the yellow took a little of the blue dye and turned slightly green, which I didn't want. But it's bright nonetheless so I kept it that way: Here is a picture of the wig in progress: The top of the wig is still to be finished. Erika: Erika (Eros) is a prositute. I have her character for years now, and she used to be a Supiadoll Eunice that I bought in 2014 and sold in 2019 if I remember well. But I wanted her character back in resin, and she is now an Elfdoll Vivien head on Telesthesia and Dragons body (very nice body by the way). I always wanted to paint her very explicit tattoos, but in the same time I fear that I could no longer show her if I paint them, because they will be, well, crude. So a friend of mine suggested I paint her "safe" tattoos in normal paint, and explicit tattoos in invisible paint. That way the explicit ones would be seenable only in UV light. That's clever, and I think I will do that. What I'd like to do: faceups (done in 2022) wig (done in 2022) manicure bust blush explicit tattoos in UV paint (I won't show them there) more accetpable tattoos in acrylic inks Joan : Joan (Blackcherry Ichigo on Fairyland Feeple60 moe) is a young hacker, with american mother and japanese father. I want to paint a few tattoos on her, I just have no idea what for now! What I'd like to do: faceup (done in 2023) manicure (done in 2023 ) bust blush tattoos (when I'll have an idea) wig (done in 2023) Petrouchka : She is even younger than Joan (around 14 years old). She is a drug dealer living in a slum. I own the head (a Blackcherry Xiao Yu) since 2020 I think, and I got the body from Bimong on spring 2025. I have everything to do for her. What I'd like to do: faceups x2 (1 in progress) manicures bust blush tattoos wig (#1 done, would like to maybe craft a #2 later) outfits (I already sewed and painted some Tshirts or tank top for her) Skadi : Skadi used to be an Elfdoll Yuan (her project journal used to be here, but I sold this shelling some years ago). Now she is a Dollstown Lily on 17 vision body. Everything is still to be done on her ^^' What I'd like to do: faceup (done on 09/06/2025) manicure bust blush tattoos wig (in progress) Thank you for looking!
This is breathtaking! I am trying to learn how to make wigs and yours is looking so well! I love her faceup too
Stunning artistry, as always! In addition to all your finished characters/photography, it's really exciting to see what your process is like and I look forward to seeing more. Thanks for posting!
Thank you! Thank you very much! My wigs look nice, but I' m still not very happy with the result. I'd like perfect wigs, and mine are more, well, realistically unkempt Thank you! And you're welcome, I like to share work in progress. It gives me the feeling I really progress, haha! Wig is finished!
Thank you so much, @JL_The_Lion ! Currently I'm making tests for the futur tattoos. What I didn't say (because I wanted to try before), was that I'm not going to use classical paints for her. Or only for some parts (like a forearm maybe). I want to use invisible paints. Here is my first try on a spare leg (a broken leg from an other doll) : On the above photo, the paints are not sealed, so they are a little glossy. But I hope that once sealed it will be completely invisible. The design is not nice, it's really only test of colors. Maybe you are wondering why I want to use those invisible paints? Because under UV black light, it gives this: (I know that using a paint only visible under UV on dolls that dislike UV is kinda stupid, but I really want this effect and I hope to take nice photos of the finished doll )
UV light - the hairs on the back of my neck are standing on end... Too many green-skinned real skin beauties from Iplehouse in my collection - but I bought them "already". But the fascination of the effect with the UV color... I can understand it
I hope she won't yellowed to much, if I don't put her under UV light too often. Some up in this thread! As I am too slow (I completely failed the custo challenge's deadline, last autumn), I thought it could be a good idea to put nearly all my cyberpunk gals in this thread! Maybe there will be more updates that way. I have no time for any of them currently, but I can add what I already did on Joan, my Blackcherry Ichigo ^^ . It's going to be quick : it's only her faceup and her wig. I wanted, for once, a quite cute and nearly natural faceup. Some years ago, I saw a girl with an interesting hairstyle at a drawing school where I was taking lessons. I kept it in mind for one of my dolls. The girl had short brown hair with brown bangs, some longer locks of hair at the temples, in light blond and blue, and on very long and thin braid (in green, if I remember well). I tried to redo her hairstyle in other colors for Joan:
Thank you @chrstphrl ! It was a long time! But I'm finally working on my sleeping Amanda: I like it so much that I wonder if I won't redo her two other heads' faceup.
Oh I love these! You're very skilled, and all the dolls really look like they belong in the same world!
Thank you! ^_^ Thank you very much! Finished faceup for Amanda sleeping head! In UV light: And in daylight:
I'm painting the OE head's faceup of my Amanda again. I wasn't happy with the first I did (seems I didn't even share it here). Here is second try in progress: Thank you for looking!
Oh my gosh, I saw your UV tattoos for the first time a few months ago and I was so in awe of them. I don't do face up myself, so I've only ever imagined these things in my head. I didn't even know it was possible. but it's like someone brought my imagination to life and the work is so beautiful plus you're working on something new again, I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
The UV tattoos are sick You never cease to amaze me with your work. I wish I could get that in real life, but I don't think that would hold up very well for a longer time
Thank you so much for your kind comment! Thanks a lot! I think I saw real tattoos with bits of UV visible patterns, but I do wonder how long it will last ^^' Here is the open eyes head faceup done: Thank you for looking!
Hi everyone! Some news on this topic! Since I had repainted my Venitu's faceup, I was unhappy with my Dollmore Keeley Sum's old faceup. So last week I finally took the time to wipe it, and now I'm repainting it. I discovered under her previous faceup various impacts on the face () and remembered that I let her fall once or twice before learning that she couldn't really stand alone. So I'm hiding the scratches and chips under some scars. Here is the beauty in progress: Thank you for looking!
Someone I dated had extensive UV tattoo work which I didn't know existed, and although those were several years old she'd still light up like a Christmas tree but they're not 100% invisible on human skin. You can see a faint trace of them if you look up close, a bit like in the post with the doll legs. It's cool that the matte sealant makes them perfectly invisible.
@lutke I learned something! I thought like Mandagore that UV tattoos won't last long XD Here is next step on my Dollmore Keeley Sum! Thank you for looking ^_^
Thank you so much @Mandagore ! I forgot to show here the finished faceup for Xesbeth: And a sixth girl joined this thread! She's called Skadi, and is a Dollstown Lily in copper oriental (on 17 vision body). No pic yet, and I'm currently begining her wigcap. Thank you for looking!
I've started Skadi's wig! I choose an undercut and bunches. Here is a pic of the very begining, the short locks of hair in preparation: And here is the wig in progress : I can't wait to finish it and paint her faceup. ^_^ Thank you for looking!
Skadi's wig is still in progress, but I started Petrouchka's faceup (on her OE head, as I freshly bought a Xiao Yu Moon head on second hand market): Thank you for looking!
I started also Skadi's faceup. She is a little too cute and too neat currently, I'd see what I can do to correct that.
Skadi's faceup is done! Now I need to find some time to complete her wig ^^' Thank you for looking ^_^
Wig for Petrouchka is done! Her faceups are still in progress (for the one in the last picture) or to be done (for the one in the WIP pictures). But she is already turning great IMO! This time I glued the fibers first: And dyed them once the wig was done: Here is it when dry! Thank you for looking
