Gave Paul a bit of a haircut and did yet another body swap - now he's on a white skin kid delf body, and my KDF head is on the Soom little gem body Paul used to have. Mainly because the delf body is easier to pose, and Paul gets played with more.

 

Oh! I haven't visited this thread for a long time... And it has made my day coming and see that this cutie still has the face-up I gave her! Thank you, Keladry ^_^


Absatz​, yes, it's a great pity that she was produced for a so short time... In fact I've only seen one more Sujeong apart from this one (promo pictures didn't make her any justice... Maybe they stopped production as she wasn't being sold as expected? Who knows...



The "good" part is the fact that she's now a very rare & hard to find doll, so we could say it's quite "exclusive"

I don't photograph Annabelle too often, but she's always out and keeping me company. I've had her for nearly 4 years and never once did she ever get boxed up!

 

Annabelle is a cutie! Paul's one of the few dolls I have unboxed now - usually they're all out of the boxes, but my place is for sale now and I don't want anyone getting terrified by walking into a room with 40 dolls, LOL. But I keep 2 SDs and 3 MSDs out.



He recently got gun hands and a new wig from Luts.

 

Paul's outfit is adorable! Woah! 40 dolls out at once? 0_0 Lol, your collection seems just as big as mine, but I can never have that many out since my space is very limited. I have 50 but they are smaller (MSD to puki), and I have 30 out now taking up way more space than I'm comfortable with. Annabelle will stay out even if I put everyone else away (well, her and 2-3 pukis).

 

Does this company still exist? I've been search for Customhouse and Aidolls in google but I can't find it...

 

They don't have an English web site anymore. They did a release some months ago where you could order by email through another company. I didn't hear about anyone doing that. They do come up on the secondary market and usually at a very nice low price.

 

They do still have both a Korean and Chinese website, but I haven't heard anything at all about them since that debacle of a few years back. I would definitely suggest keeping your eye on the secondhand market; I don't think it would be worth it to try to deal with the company, even if there was a way! ^_^;

 

I mostly pile 'em up on bookshelves. In a year or so I'll be buying a house, and then I'm hoping to build big deep shelves along one wall of my office/library for all my dolls to have nice spacious rooms.



Paul has undergone yet another faceup and body switch. Now I've got him on a Unoa boy body, which can be a bit fiddly to pose but looks really nice. I love the hands on that body especially. And there's still a pretty adorable height difference with him and his JID boyfriend.

It's sad Custom House went the way they did. I'd have liked a few more of their dolls...

 

Hello, very quiet thread~

I finally got the courage to send Paul out for a faceup. He's been victim to so many of my attempts because I couldn't stand the thought of possibly losing him, but I finally did it and he's back and I'm so happy.

 

He looks great, solitary agent! I'll have to get off my butt and get some good photos of my LJs! They've been neglected for so long!

 

Oh! These little angels are so lovely! I'm expecting mine in the next few months!! What's your favorite sculpt???

Luts is partnering with (bought?) Aidolls / 'old Customhouse' !

They call out the Little Junior line & mention 'all Ai' will eventually be renewed, so we may see updates to the Little Junior body! I love these guys so much but never got a chance to own one so I'm really excited to see what happens!

Even if they just bring back Tera and maybe Hera ... My grailiest grail dolls were a limited Customhouse fullset Little Junior pair put out under 'Ineffabilis' and thinking about it, Luts' fantasy fullsets are often in that general styling so they might come up with something equally amazing!

 

I saw their post on FB too. I wonder if they will make some improvements to the bodies...

 

I am optimistic and imagining they will - Luts has been missing the 35cm-ish bandwagon and given the release of the Model Delf, the Little Juniors would actually fit in really well next to them. Though I wonder if we'll see two head sizes, the way Model Delf and Kid Delf can be hybridized across bodies. Since Little Junior were basically the Petite/Ange Ai heads on a different body, you might see the body released, the Petite/Ange Ai heads released in Luts' Honey size but able to be put on the LJ body, as well as original heads developed more in line with the smaller 5-6" head size the Model Delf have?

Hopefully that didn't sound too confusing XD In effect, it would end up being a similar system to what Bluefairy/Minoruworld does with their Shiny Fairy/Junior size line, and I think that would work really well.

I loved that the Little Junior boys fell into a size that was really uncommon at the time (though I think the Fairyland M-line boys are now sort of that short too) and the Little Junior girls were petite but mature enough you could use them as teenagers to adult mini dolls Given that Luts seems to have been really great about redeveloping their own lines/bodies over time, I think it's probably safe to hope that we'll see standard modern improvements (double-jointing) but we may also see other stuff. It might also depend on just who's sculpting/what rights were bought/behind-the-scenes stuff.

 

Oh wow, this will be amazing! I always loved my Little Juniors sooo much! And while I love the bodies they have now, I bet Luts will have some great things to add!

@Sarako You are totally right! The Ineffabilis set had all those dark leathery bits, and a gothic/demony look - and Luts is totally all about that! I bet you might be able to see something similar in the future!

I hope they do end up bringing back all the CH/Aidolls sculpts. I really liked a lot of the old-timey ones, from way back in the day. Then I started to like some of their newer ones as well; I remember one of the newer regular Juniors that I thought was cute. But then I stopped looking at them after that whole debacle a couple of years back. I participated in two of their sales at the time, then I felt a little yucky about it for a while, for supporting their pretty bad business practice... But that feeling passed, and I'm happy with the two I have from that time. And I'm really excited to see what the future holds!

 

@AirimirOfGondor Yup! And that limited Gabriel's armor reminds me of the Luts DoA Anniversary Abadon's too - it might just be the resin armor thing, but back when it came out (for Ineffabilis, I think it was 2007?) that was a pretty shiny new thing in the hobby still. (Anyone else who's curious, this blog has some of the photos and they had a fun backstory as destined enemies that really reminds me of the Untold Story line Luts does limited releases for now, so it's just one of those cool coincidences + enduring popular trends in BJD hobbydom sort of things XD )

We might even see Little Junior centaurs, since that is also Luts' new thing XD (Maybe just LJ heads on the Kid Delf centaurs speaking from a practical standpoint, but how cute would a slightly smaller mini centaur be ohmygoodness )

 

Oh gawd I might die if there were more centaurs! XD I collect Soom centaurs, so I'm already all about little horsies. I couldn't afford any of Luts' centaurs when they were released (I loved their little zebra though, so I may have thrown a fit cried a little at the time), but if they were going to put CH sculpts on them, I might have to force something to work out! XD

 

I would love to get a LJ Gabriel especially in tan skin. I hope they make lots of little juniors again. It makes me want to play with my Mars and Uranus again. I love my little junior boys. I hope they release Jupiter again. I've always wanted him.

 

I have the longest list of the Little Juniors I wanted and never got - I'll be right there with you for Jupiter! (And Meoroo and Tera and Gabriel and everyone else...) I am definitely hoping we'll see LJ in all the Luts tan resin colors - they're very pretty shades!

@whisperwolf Oh my gosh! Thanks for the notice, I haven't been checking in on Luts lately, but I was always hoping they'd continue to release CH sculpts!
I only had Little Juniors, so I wonder if they would allow that for the sale.... I was eyeing up Kio back in the day. :3

 

Kio is so sweet with that smile! You could try doing the pic of your Little Junior and see what they say?! I never owned any of the Junior Ai or Little Junior, just Ai Jun, lots of Petites, and a Bisou. I liked the little ones better, big dolls take up too much room for me

 

@whisperwolf luckily (or unluckily?) I don't have any money to think about getting another doll right now, so I suppose that Luts won't have to deal with me for the time being! And then, maybe when I do have money, they'll likely have them as a standard offering anyway, so it might work out for me later (fingers crossed! )

 

Quick questions for owners of junior ai, how does the resin skin color compare to the old volks msd dolls normal skin color?

Looked around and didn't really find any good comparison pictures.

 

This isn't going to help, I'm afraid, but it really depends on the batch. Customhouse resin color was always variable -- not quite as variable as Luts resin, but not as consistent as Volks. Some of my old CH dolls have the yellow Volks-ish resin tone and would be a decent match, while others are peachier, even after aging for 15+ years. The post-2006 CH resin that I've seen is noticeably paler and toothier than the original (2003-2005) formulas.

 

Thanks so much for the reply! Really wish skin color was more consistent!!! I was looking at a secondhand junior ai from like 10 years ago and he still looks so white! Having no luck trying to find a decent body for an old head I just got, I'll have to make a separate post later to see if maybe someone can tell what kind of body would match XD

 

Hello! i have a Junior Ai question. I have seen these gorgeous hands on customhouse Junior Ais that remind me of FLs and im hoping they will fit my kid delf Yeondu (CH sculpt) if i can find out exactly what they are called and hopefully find them. hi everyone! I joined the hobby recently in 2019 and fell in love with customhouse! I currently have one Ange Ai Gaby who's going to Sarasoo this week for a face, as well as 4 junior ai yeondus. 3 are getting their faces, and modded one I got off of Xianyu with the help of a proxy, and should arriving within the next couple of weeks. I'm so excited to be here and see your gorgeous customhouse dolls! I also cannot wait to share my newest addition when she gets here.

Any collectors still looking to shoes to fit the LJ boy body? I found the larger shoes from Affordable Designs doll line to fit well. The sneakers don’t need socks but the school loafers might.

Thank you! I love them both. They were purchased in one of the final sales and even then Custom House was willing to slightly modify Meeroo's faceup! Their default faceup had angled eyebrows and I asked for them to be softly arched. And they did just what I wanted! Here's a close up
