Background: (Based on the manhwa character from One Thousand and One Nights)
He's a translator of ancient books from various languages into arabic. However, after the sultan began taking women into his harem only to behead them the following day, Sehara's sister was called upon to do the same. Known for his effeminate beauty, he took her place in the harem to save her from the awful fate. The sultan soon discovered he was not a woman, and threw him in the dungeon to await his punishment at sunrise. Before the sultan could leave however, Sehara began to tell him a tale, hoping to persuade him otherwise. At sunrise, when the story was complete, the sultan broke his routine, and instead appointed him as the royal bard. Sehara then took it upon himself to continue these stories, in hopes that through them he could put a stop to the Sultan's methodical murders.

Backstory: The fourth of six sons to an Asharan banking magnate, Lucien is, perhaps, closest to his younger brother Darien, due to the 11-month age difference between them. However, a childhood tragedy has made him a little distant from his entire family. In his extended family, Lucien is closest to his maternal grandmother, who taught him the sacred arts of her tribe. He is an accomplished potion-brewer and poison-maker and the youngest in his grandmother's tribe to achieve his rank of mastery. Backstory: The second-youngest of six sons to an Asharan banking magnate, Darien is only 11-months younger than his elder brother Lucien. The two brothers used to be extremely close, often mistaken for twins due to their age and their physical similarity. However, a family tragedy caused a rift between Lucien and his family. Regardless of this distance, Darien remains the closest brother to Lucien and the only brother who Lucien will (if occasionally) confide in. More carefree and academically-fickle than his extremely focused and diligent elder brother, Darien chose to pursue school at a more leisurely pace than his academically-accelerated brother and is a university student. Having been the youngest son for more than half his life, Darien is the least serious of all the adult Jaq'taar brothers.
