I ordered it along with a doll, so I won't be seeing mine for a while. Looks great on your girl, though!

 

Thanks @skyealloway and @Sianserais ! I couldn't buy more than a dress and wig because I made an unscheduled doll purchase at Racccoon, i.e., I bought a doll even though I had no money budgeted for him. Blame it on Christmas!

Here's the wig I bought. It stayed on long enough for photos before it popped off. Maybe I need to remove the labels from the inside.

 

@skyealloway - Congrats! That's quite a haul. My medieval dress and wig took about a week to arrive. I guess it all depends on whether or not the things you order are in stock.

I LOVE Karin! I wish I could buy her now while the free shipping lasts, but I need to sell a doll first and before I can sell him I have to wait for replacement hands because I broke a finger off. (His, not mine.)
Let's see how long I can hold out before I hit the buy button.

I've never heard of this company until today, but my goodness! Karin has got me interested.

Have any of you done a layaway with CreatureDoll? Is it easy? I want to jump while the shipping is free, but I'm holding back!

 

I love Karin, too. her ears, that Soom-esque Vesuvia mouth. I'm going for a layaway. Piling on some goodies.

I was thinking she reminded me of Beryl. Not in a bad way. Definitely another pretty girl!
The armor is nice as far as it goes, and it's great to see something like that offered as a separate option. ^_^

Yes, she really look Soomish to me in many ways, but is still her own self.
Maybe Beryl is who I'm thinking of - that downturned, sulky mouth. I'll paint her myself which should be fun!

These dolls are amazing. I’m checking measurements now to see if my resinsoul Mei could get away with some of the clothing and armour. Violet traveller would be perfect! The Lucia Doll in Brown skin could be a great fit for my future doll - a shell for my sun elf character.
ETA - looks like the proportions are very different. Technically it would fit on my doll but only the waist is a good fit; these dolls seem to have much more “adult” bodies with wider hips and shoulders.

 

has anyone with a doll on layaway received an email from Creature Doll saying if it's paid off within the month they'll send you a 'special gift' ?
I had hoped to pay her off this month. wonder what the gift is.

I think it's RS Jun. That armour looks really good on him. On the other hand, he's a boy wearing girl armour, so that may make a difference. The RS girls are very slender - especially the single-jointed body (which is Mei's standard body).

 

Wow @skyealloway your friend's doll is amazing! I know how to sew so I could get the violet traveller outfit and alter it. But I agree, Lucia is now on my wishlist and she NEEDS that outfit!
@Fairy Milliner that's what I was thinking too because Mei is pretty dainty. I'm new to BJDs but I've been collecting dolls for a long time so I can be pretty crafty at DIY and making things fit...

 

I just added everything I want in my shopping cart and I´m still shocked by the amount... I resisted Iplehouse and Raccondoll while their Christmas events successfully but Karin seems to join my crew as the protector of one of my characters. And of course I need that armor and the long sword (and her wig). I even like her face up but will getting her blank as I´m afraid it´s too pink in person.

 

Did you hit the "buy" button yet? If so, congratulations! If not, do it! These dolls work well with Raccoondoll and FID.

As for the face-up being too pink, the first few dolls had very pink makeup. It looks like there may be a new artist, however, who exercises more restraint with the facial blushing. I bought my first two dolls blank, but I am going to take a chance this time and order the face-up. I'm planning to buy Karin, too. My most recent Raccoon purchase hasn't been billed yet, so I'm trying to time this purchase so that I don't end up with two dolls on the same PayPal invoice. I think I might be safe around the 15th of the month.

No I haven't. I'm waiting for a friend which want the limited armor but we plan to order at the end of the month as she also thinking of getting a body as she is unsure it fit her iplehouse jid

 

It´s not that I think it´s overpriced. Creature is very reasonable with prices. My 2 Iplehouse FIDS were more expensive than all the stuff I´m getting with her plus her it´s just.... don´t know how to describe it XD Seeing the number was quite a shock.

@skyealloway - This is a terrific look for her. A head is an awesome gift and I agree, Mei is a cutie. I love mine.

On another note, I'm about ready to order Karin. Raccoon's new girl (with free elf head) almost lured me away but I decided I liked Karin's pout too much to switch.

 

I ordered Karin! Too bad I forgot to add high heel feet to the order. I wonder if I should add them? I'll have to pay shipping, even if I add a note to add them to my order. Maybe I should email Mr. Park.

I ordered the heel feet just in case something I have or find might fit her. the black platform shoes I also ordered look to be flat inside.

@petiteballerine - The first time I ordered heel feet I also thought I might have shoes to fit them. It turned out I didn't. Apparently they fit into Luts Model Delf heel shoes. Wouldn't you know, when I ordered a Model Delf girl I got her with flat feet.

Adding heel feet to my Karin order was easy. I emailed Mr. Park, who told me to deposit the payment in PayPal and he would add the feet.

 

So, a few days ago I got an email saying my order had shipped, but when I opened it, only one pair of tiny eyes was listed.
I wasn't sure whether to take that seriously or not.
Today, a doll-sized box showed up at the door - just a little large for a pair of eyes. And then I got consecutive emails saying everything else had been delivered, then shipped.
Apparently Lucia is capable of some interesting time/space warping magic, and sent the eyes ahead to scout out the destination?

Anyway, she looks great so far, and it seems I got a cute little Mei head as a free gift too! (Thank you, if you read this!)
Unfortunately, I'm sick and haven't had a chance to do anything with them yet.

Edit: Oh, it also looks like I got a couple extra pair of NS hands along with the brown ones I ordered. I hope that's not a mistake and they were supposed to go to someone else!

 

Congrats @Sianserais ! Gosh, I hope he isn't sending Mei heads to everyone who orders a doll--I already have a Mei. Do you think he checks our order histories to make sure he doesn't duplicate a doll we've already bought?

 

Thanks! @skyealloway : It's a lovely light tan in the same region as Volks' sunlight, Iplehouse's RS, and Withdoll's R/UV, but doesn't quite match any examples I checked against. Of course.

I don't want another floating head. I don't know what body it will fit, so probably not a hot item in the MP.
but, I imagine the heads costs them little. shoes or clothes are custom made for them. ? more overhead?

 

Oh well, if I get another Mei head I'll give it a different face-up and switch them back and forth. That's assuming the heads are all coming in normal resin. I won't have any use for it if it comes in tan and doesn't match Raccoon's sweet mocha.

 

My Mei came in tan, actually, so it's probably going to match whatever you ordered.

 

In that case I'll be getting white, which won't work with my current Mei, who is normal resin. Oh well, I'll probably still paint her and let her use Karin's body once in a while.

 

one of the many nice things about little dolls is that parts are easier to change out. if I do get a head in tan, having a completely different character might work.
good to know it matches your order. but, Karin looks very strong-minded. I don't want to tick her off!

 

I don't really like having two dolls on one body. The last time I got a head by itself it ended up commandeering a body--and that body's original head ended up in my spare parts bin. If I end up with a white Mei head, the only other white body of that size in my doll family will be Karin's. I can't very well put it on a Pukifee. I've used up my doll funds--and then some--so a new body is out of the question for the foreseeable future.

Do you mean the cut-out inside the mobility joint? If so, I don't think the waviness has a function per se. It's just a cut-out so you can get at the elastic easier, probably. The sculptor just made it look nice.

I was about to check the status of my Karin when I suddenly realized it's been only two weeks! I'm not eager or anything.

 

@vermont chick - hahahaha! I was going to post earlier today about waiting for Karin since I paid off the layaway early and then realized I'd only ordered her Dec 31st.
yes. not eager at all.

 

Iplehouse normal skin is the closest, but Creature Doll's normal is pinker. It's not a match.

 

OMG! Karin has shipped! It's been only 3 weeks. It looks like they forgot to add the heel feet to the shipment.
