CP Delf Discussion Part 12

Thank you - for my girls, if I put them in the right wig or outfit, you can tell that they're green, but usually not so much.

 

I think I remember seeing your photos on your IG and loving him! Breakaway is such a special sculpt to me, well I guess all those gorgeous old CP Delfs are! Do you know what kind of faceup you want to give him, I'm super excited to see what direction you go with him!

 

I received a bit of a grail recently myself! I started collecting BJDs in 2014 so I missed the entire CP Delf time period sadly, so I thought I would probably never be able to own one. Fast forward six years and I now have 4 heads!! But I think this guy is the one I am most excited about. He's a WS El, he was heavily yellowed but the lovely person I purchased him from did a wonderful job of sanding him down lightly to remove a lot of the yellow spots, and gave him a really great faceup! He's going to be on a Volks SD13 boy body for the foreseeable future! Sigh, I'm so in love!

 

Also introducing my Yder, the Delf who started it all! I'm so happy he's finally started telling me his story, the poor thing has sat on the shelf for nearly 2.5 years with next to nothing of his own and no character info!

Ahh Hello!! Thanks again for allowing me to adopt this guy off of you! He's really put himself basically way ahead of everyone else in terms of getting himself complete. There's others who've been around much longer who don't even have wigs or clothes but yet here is the newest guy already with a complete look, name, and ordering a neck donut to put him together

 

Haha, I'm so glad that you love him so much. I am subscribed to this thread so it alerted me and I saw his picture. It took me a second for it to click that I wasn't on Instagram.
I hope that you get your donut soon! I'm lazily searching for a delf body to support the locking mechanism for a Luwen I just purchased. I need to post his floating face here at least.

Thanks a ton! It's funny, when I first got into this hobby I thought I'd pretty much only have MSDs due to the size and general idea that they tend to be a but cheaper but here I am with all these SDs and finding myself ready to sell all my MSDs but my most special ones! These Delf guys really have helped shape my collection in a huge way.

Thanks!! Yder was one of those huge impulse buys when I saw him on Yahoo Auctions Japan! I saw him for like 30,000 yen and I couldn't pass him up! Poor thing came completely without any protective packaging inside his box so it's a miracle he didn't come broken!

 

Oh wow that's lucky! Do you have plans for him and your other delfs? I'd love to see what other heads you have!

I have a blank Dreaming Vampire Shiwoo that is on his way but he won't be here for another couple of days. But I do also have this lovely Vampire Breakaway head, I don't know much about the old Delf heads, but would anyone be able to help me figure out exactly which version he is, I was told he was the Bloody Valentine version with an eye mod? He might be getting a new faceup in the future but it will definitely be another darker, more gothic style faceup again!

 

@SuperShawol - what does the stamp inside his head say? And does he have a neck mechanism hole or a Type 1 head?

Btw - Does he have an open mouth and teeth? ** A closed mouth vamp would make him a Bloody Valentine as it's the only one with a closed mouth (other than the sleeping F70, but he's not a vamp)

I have a 2nd Lishe coming soon, in WS! Eeeek! I was hoping to find her but didn't know it would happen so soon! My 3rd delf to join my NS Lishe and Soony I've been sewing up a -storm- and buying all kinds of wigs/eyes. So she'll be set

He does have the closed mouth and here is a shot of the inside of his head. With what you've mentioned and looking around I think he's definitely the Bloody Vampire one, he also has the turnkey style neck hole.

 

Was trying a couple wigs on my girl Winter; figured I'd share with you guys here! ^^ (none of them worked out but I have others hehe. kind of a wig addict)




It's interesting that Soony likes 9-10 wigs and Lishe likes 8-9

 

I think this is why I'm more partial to 2005 Juris, Soo & Soony as I love the aesthetic of their head sculpts.
And Winter in the deep red wig is gorgeous.

Yeah, that the same stamp that is inside the head of the F70 Breakaways, which are the same heads as the Bloody Valentines (and caused a bit of stink between Luts and Fairyland as I think they were sold at the same time!)

 

Ahh yes I think I remember reading about that, I definitely want to do some more research into that era of Luts/Fairyland to learn more about the old Delfs/etc from that era.

Also, thanks to a fabulous person on Facebook who linked me to an Ebay auction after I posted a WTB there for a Chiwoo, I am bringing home this gorgeous Vampire Elf Chiwoo (this is the seller's auction pic)! It took almost a week of messaging with the seller to get him purchased as they originally only sold within Italy but they went through a ton of work to help me out and let me purchase him anyways! I am so excited to get him home! Can anyone else share some photos of their Chiwoos, I tend to not go looking for a specific sculpt unless I have them coming home!

 

A good place to see what is around is the CP Delf Database - which has information about all the CP dolls which were created and sold through Luts.

I'm fine, recovering from surgery earlier this month.

Today I felt good enough to go out to the deck and take some pics of Noriko in her newest outfit and newest shoes while wearing her long wig. I thought that autumn leaves made nice props, so here's one of my faves from that quick photoshoot.

I recently put most everyone away in their boxes to save some room. My Delf boys don’t have boxes though, so they have to stay out. Poor, cold boys! D:

 

So someone else arrived just the other day! I've always really liked Chiwoo in particular of all the old Delfs, and I posted about wanting to buy a Chiwoo and a lovely person messaged me a link to a eBay link for this gorgeous Elf Vampire Chiwoo! I politely messaged the seller if they'd be open to international orders because they were only shipping to Italy, and luckily they agreed! I'm so happy to have a Chiwoo now to, he joins the ranks of my other Delfs, Yder, El, Shiwoo and Breakaway! I'm so excited to get Shiwoo a faceup next, poor thing!

Thank you!! He is so amazing, I can't believe I own such a gorgeous guy! He's got such a mischievous look to him, I think he's going to be the one to finally inhabit the cheeky host club character I've had floating in my head for a few years!

I absolutely want to get more in the future! I love like all of them, theres a couple I'm iffy on but they're more rare ones I think so that's fine I think once I have my days off at the end of the week I want to try and get everyone together for a big group photo

 

Ooh cool! I think if I ever get another I want an El! Yours is so handsome! I hope you can get a group shot, those are my favourite pictures!

I just wanted to share a photo of the Juri 06 I just finished painting. Unfortunately I had to part with her to fund the Vampire Dark Elf Soo I bought, but she is going to a new loving home!



I miss her already lol. This sculpt definitely grew on me quickly!

 

The 06 is a lovely sculpt, but I totally get having to make a hard choice like that. I had to part with a few heads to get my grails.
I did not think that VDES would last long in the MP, thankfully I have one already, so I am not crying too much at missing out, but please spam her lots when she gets home!

 

You did a beautiful job painting her! Is she the same sculpt as the 07b? She looks so much like my girl, who has half closed eyes. I just love my 07b. I hope you can get her again in the future when finances allow
