Thank you! He came with them and while he decided to share the other shirt and wig, he was still rather enamored with these. I haven’t seen a fur/fiber wig in YEARS, but I am really digging this one.

I’m going to try my hand at his face up. I have never painted a sleeping eyed doll, and my plan was to get him modded, but his little eyelids are so beautifully delicate that I am now waffling on that. Thank you >\\\<

 

You know, sleeping eyed dolls can be super flexible. Sunglasses, when outdoors, sleeping of course and writing at a desk, & laughing

I did get that face app, because I wanted to do storylines with my dolls and wanted a quick way to get expressions, at least the start of the expressions I'll admit "out of the box" it's a little creepy, LOL:

Thank you! it went pretty well, we ended up staying up till 7am but it is almost completely done! I'm proud to have survived all the stress! Lol

In the meantime, here is a photo of Thea (Angel Elf Soo) from a Den of Angels anniversary photo shoot I did a couple years ago.

 

I'd love to get some halloween pics but i injured my hand and i'm still living in boxes i might be able to but we'll have to see! I love Thea though, what a stunning dress! I am so excited to get more settled and decorate my rooms!

 

My girls are home with faceups from gamergirllexi on instagram! Uuuuu I have no words for how much I love them and the warm fuzzy nostalgia they give me. They have so much personality and I blew about half my fun budget today ordering them lots of goodies Here's my Soony and Lishe on type 1 bodies! Still gotta find their names.
What fun incoming things or projects do you guys have coming up for your delf?

@juumou I have such dolly envy you can't imagine! Massive congrats on them...Soony and Lishe are my grails right now... please spam, spam and more spam with photos of them...

 

Ahhhh they are gorgeous! I have Soony and Lishe too and I feel the same way about them! But my Lishe doesn't have a body yet so you're doing better than me xD Delf girls are made for spoiling, so of course you had to order them lots of things!

I'm working on sewing some pinafore dresses for my Soony. I'm kind of obsessed with them and my brother donated some old shirts of his for my doll sewing. The fabric is perfect for these dresses! Blue is going to look very cute in them when I'm done.

 

juumou, the faceups are gorgeous & I'm especially loving your Soony!!

I've been on a sewing spree for my girls. Smart Doll patterns are quite close enough for me to alter, and they come in super fashionable styles as well! Here's some "cocoon shrugs" cardigans I made from this smart doll pattern: CARDIGAN Pattern for Smart doll Cocoon Shrug pattern | Etsy
I love how the cardi just "hugs" the body, and it was quite cheap too.

I'm joining the Soony party! I adopted the modded sleeping Soony from @nanaminore! I intend on modding her ever-so-slightly to get her to look as much as a regular Soony as possible. I'm going to give her eyes a little more depth on the waterline, try to sculpt her eyelids in, and replace her teeth that were for some reason carved out. I will share her back once her transformation is completed!

@IngieBee Here are the measurements I got of Delf girls vs Smart Dolls, so you can modify patterns accordingly:

The official smart doll also has some FREE patterns! I recommend testing them first because of the slight size differences. The tshirt pattern worked great so far, I just made the bust a bit smaller.

Snow! That's right I only have a few hats, and nobody has really claimed them yet. I have a fantasy of actually making winter clothing for each doll before winter ends, but I fear it's just a fantasy LOL

My modded vampire elf Chiwoo made it home, but just barely!



I was tracking him from Russia and I happened to check the tracking number that morning. Thank goodness I did! It had scanned at my local post office but then was scanned as "return to sender, not a number" for my address. I panicked and flew to the post office. By some miracle, the package made it to my local post office with the ENTIRE customs form torn off, except for a tiny scrap of paper with my zip code. That was all that remained. No return address, none of the rest of my address; nothing. It's honestly a miracle that they handed it over to me at all! I'm going to have to name him something related to zip or code to honor his miraculous journey!

 

OMG, that's HORRIBLE! @I<3MySD , what craziness! But he's home, and gorgeous! Congratulations!!!

 

@IngieBee thank you so much! It was so nerve-wracking, I don't think I have ever been so anxious as I was in line for the post office! I was terrified that he was already on his way back to Russia! I also bought him under the impression that he was normal skin, but having him next to my Soony and Juri head, I'm thinking he may be beauty white? The lighting in my photo above does not support my case, but he is definitely white Did vampire Chiwoo come in BW?

 

I think BW was always a standard color??

 

Good to know! I figured as much. I would have loved one in tanning... or any Delf in tanning... I'm on a mission now haha.

IMySD, good thing you were following the tracking so closely!! I had a pkg sit at my post office for almost 2 weeks last spring when I assumed all mail was moving slowly & the clerk in charge of putting notice slips in the mailboxes hadn't given me a slip. When I finally checked tracking & went in to ask about my list pkg, they found it for me right away but we're ready to return it in a few more days!
Perhaps customs slips being torn & lost is what has happened to a few missing dolls I've heard of this year. :/
Sounds like your Chiwoo is going to need a name meaning Lucky or Fortunate. ;D

All dolls prior to 2006/2007 were beauty white, that was the standard colour then - Both my 2005 Elf Lishes and my 2006 Elf Lishes are all BW. It can be difficult to get them to photograph BW though...

 

What could be more beautiful icy and snowy than light blue and white? Perfect colors for Snow @SacredMonsoon

Oh wow! I'm glad you were able to collect it, that is crazy that it sat that long before going back! I can imagine that this is very common with a lot of the lost/missing packages this year, I bet you're on to something!
So far I picked "Zona" which is Zone in Russian haha. But something meaning lucky or fortunate would be better!

It really was! That suggestion seems to be a theme, I should look into those names!
