Thank youuuu! I have no idea what kind of mods he has, I'm assuming he started life as a vampire Chiwoo seeing as the inside of his head indicates as such, and the eyes were opened? Mystery cutie!

@malvinas thank you! I can't wait for them to come! The chest was sanded down on a girl body so I can't decide if they are a boy or a girl, or maybe neither?

Lovely. Those aren't Chiwoo eyes, so that's the modding on the head and the body is the girl one with the boobs modded off. I have that with a MerryDollRound head on it, it' a bugger to find clothes to fit - I usually make my own. It's an SD height body that is MSD wiidth once the boobs are removed so (some) long MSD dresses can work as short dresses. MSD T shirts can be used as crop tops, skirts and trousers for slimmer SD's will work in terms of the waistband fitting, but might not fit the hips.

Hi, it's been a while. I feel like I've missed so much and we moved on to a new thread. So many lovely resin babies makes me pine for another cp baby. Juliette has changed a bit from last post. She has an earthy vibe now.



I really love the vamp fangs on cp delfs. I wish fairyland would do something similar with feeple60s but they seem to make the fangs really pronounced on their vamp sculpts.

 

I agree about the fangs being way cuter back on the CP/luts dolls. @Matte . I love your Juliette's style. I'm totally into warm tones lately, but I've never worn them myself, so I'm finding it hard to put outfits together for the dolls I want to give that more/boho look

 

Aw i love seeing everyones dolls! They are looking fab! I too love the warm earthy colors, especially in fall/winter!

Hey I've got a quick questions for you folks! I adopted a Vamp. Woosoo (I would pay doll tax, but he's currently soaking in a deyellowing bath) and I noticed something within his head. Inside it reads "N.C 02." Is this normal within the heads, especially the older ones? It has the Cerberus Project stamp too, but that's what stuck out to me the most. Thanks in advance!

 

I don't have that head, so I don't know??

Honestly, I'm not really sure about the specific thing it says since I don't have a WooSoo. But some of my Delfs have had things such as 1-1 stamped inside their head along with the normal Cerebrus Project stamp. So it's possible?

Ah! So maybe that's just their identifying marker for the mold? Who knows~ I was just curious cause I couldn't recall if my other heads that I've owned had something similar.

 

I'm guessing so! I grabbed a couple more of my dollies and took their heads off (with minor protests), My Dark Elf Soo actually does have that inscribed in her head plus company logo. My Angel Elf Soo only has the logo, and I dare not remove my Shiwoos heads because they throw them across the room every chance they get.

Wow, that is good to know! I would have never thought to look at MSD pieces like that. I am hoping an outfit I have will fit him (decided he will be a him), but I'm not holding my breath thanks to the girl body on the lower half! Not sure if the pants will fit lol. Thank you for the advice!

I know! I'm waiting for a little bit though, I just won a Volks Nono off of Yjapan for her body. So I will actually now be able to have a body for my DES and can pull her out with my AES. I'm also waiting on wigs and stuff...but...I got side tracked and put an Elf LuWen head on a short layaway with AngelToast. I need to stop.

 

Yay, congrats. Lol! I'm not going to stop you. I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore resin this year but I broke my own rule.

 

Haha congrats on your incoming LuWen! I've reached the "I need to stop" point this year. But now that I've made my mind up not to buy any more dolls until the current ones are finished, I keep seeing more old delfs popping up for sale . I feel like the world is testing me. I must be strong!!

I broke my own rule a LONG time ago! I *try* to only buy a couple dolls a year and keep my count down by selling dolls before I buy more. But between buying Smartdolls and old Delfs my wallet is always cringing.

Oh my, they are the cutest couple! @cthulhu your Soo is she DES or AES? She is perfect! I have a MNF DES and I adore her, and I can't always see that DES look in the delf version, but definitely see it in yours! Just gorgeous.

And the costumes! Sorry, the prom outfits, amazing!!! I should add, Phin is a gorgeous Shiwoo, I adore him!

Of course your Shiwoo is handsome, but I've never met a Shiwoo I didn't like. I was VERY tempted to have her do a faceup commission on him/her as well. But money didn't really even permit me to really purchase the head at the moment (Thanks Nursing School!), so she was SUPER kind to let me do a couple weeks of a layaway until my Husband got paid.

Thea is an Angel Elf Soo with this amazing faceup done by Dark kitties long long ago. I love both her pointy ears & cute chin. And all the rest of her. She & Phin became a couple as soon as he joined us.

 

Poor sweet Elowyn, I swear the entire time she was so unimpressed with me.

Its getting so close to going home, and Feather is so soon to me! I'm both nervous and excited! It's been 4 years!

 

Dang! How far away did you have to go to school?! No going home on holidays I take it?! That's hard.... more on your parents than you I'm sure! LOL. My daughter hates coming home for holidays She says it's too hot here.

 

I was actually gone for my health, we did skype holidays, but now i'll be in an apartment thats not an hour away, i'll be five minutes away! Aw I'm sorry for you, I definitely don't hate going home!

Oh it's OK, as I like to visit my daughter when there was no plague. Too bad I couldn't escape the heat this summer, But that is OK, we also have skype and zoom etc... and are always on the phone. I really never wanted to hold my kids back and make them feel bad for leaving, I just miss her, as she is the farthest away

I just received my body for Juri05 today and I’m so happy it’s a perfect colour match! It’s a type two body so I’ll have to deal with the neck being slightly larger than the head. Do you guys know what I could use to attach the head since I don’t have a neck donut, I was thinking maybe I could make one with clay but I don’t want to damage the resin.

 

@DessyChan , I didn't know the type 2 neck was larger? Anyways, I think a neck doughnut is the only way aside from the impossible hooking of the neck chord to the head cap. I use a ponytail holder between the hook and cap, which although a bit loose, holds well, especially with the wig on. Oooh, I can't wait to see yours. Will it be a boy or a girl? If you already stated, sorry, I have the memory of a goldfish, LOL

 

@IngieBee I read online that it was slightly larger by a centimetre or two so it accommodates the boy delf heads. I finally got the type 2 mechanism off and replaced it with an s hook but tbh if I didn’t know the neck was larger I wouldn’t notice, it looks perfect with the Juri05 head.

I just put a donut I made out of clay into the oven, I looked at a picture of them online for reference and used a spare s hook for making it the right size. Hopefully it works and I can check in later

She's also going to be a girl, my first female BJD

 

Sooo...I thought my DES would get a body soon. But it looks like DHL is going to cost $200 (I only paid $120 for the body) or I can choose another that costs $50 but will take 60 days to arrive. I feel like DHL pulls numbers out of their rear end sometimes.

 

@DessyChan I have a Delf Yder head on a girl delf body, would you like to see how I did that? It's not the best, but its better than when her head was falling through her neck and hitting her collar bones XD I did it with miliput. I could share tomorrow if so.

 

@TopHatDown That’s ok I figured it out! Making a donut with clay worked out great, the head stays on perfectly.

 

Oh shoot, @Angelesk are you in Germany? I'd take the cheap route and wait personally, especially if I can buy insurance.

Oh she's SO CUTE, @DessyChan ! Her eyes are perfectly sized, I love them! Because of you, I took my Juri 5 off the shelf last night and played with her a bit. I have her on the Luts Delf type 3? girl body, which it looks like they don't sell anymore I am glad I did that because that body looks so much like the one that would have been used when she was made. Angeltoast matched the head to the body when she painted it, which is super close. Those older delf bodies are so solid and a joy to hold

 

That little Juri face is SOOOO cute!!!

@IngieBee No, I'm in Texas of all places! It seems so sporadic on shipping too. I mean, sometimes it's $50, other times it's $200!

 

@Angelesk sometimes the cheaper rate will come just as fast too.

I just got an email from Alaska Airlines, I didn't open it but the subject line said "by a seat, take the whole row!" and I just busted up laughing, and feeling sad at the same time. Everything is closed around here, it's awful. And this is a sign of how few people are traveling. I don't think the economy will recover.

I don't think Texas has been nearly as stringent as California on shutting down businesses, and yet we have similar statistics

it's just so sad
