@Hana Doku Congrats on your Yder! He's got a handsome face~ Maybe if you find a newer body you can let it soak up some sun and yellow a bit to match him? I've seen people do that with newer CP/FL bodies to match their older heads.

Hello! I haven't been on DOA for awhile and not sure where I could go with this. I think I may have fallen out of love with my breakaway TAT

 

'Not sure what any of us can do to fix that... But if you're wondering rather or not you should part company with Mr.Breakaway, I'd say pack him up for awhile.

If you go back in a week or two and unpack him because you miss him, that's a pretty good indication he should stick around. If he's in that box for months and you don't feel the need to retrieve him, it's likely you've "moved on", and so it's safe for him to move on, too.

 

Good idea. I thought about changing her faceup maybe that will help? I'll give myself some time with this.

I may or may not have found a body for Dmitri (my OE El head)! And now I’m super excited

 

I know there's no *pretty head here*, he's out getting a faceup... but I got a new full nine9style/ttya outfit in the mail yesterday and I've never wanted to cuddle a headless body like this in a long time, haha The boots, the grundgey jeans and cozy turtleneck really take me back to the years when I first had delf boys So here's my boy's new outfit!

Yeah. I remembered how I got this breakaway. It was crazy in 2008 I think I might send her for faceup cause I realised I never liked any of her faceups on her through the years.

Thank you all for the congratulations!! It should be here soon, since I bought it secondhand. Which is super exciting, since I've been looking for over a month for a tan body, let alone one that simply matched up measurements wise!

It's a Soom Super Gem (tawny) -- the pictures make it look like a darker batch for tawny, so I'm hoping that's the case! Now I get to design all of his tattoos super quick since my girlfriend hasn't..... and I didn't think to do it beforehand.

So many things to do for him, I might just lose my mind! Color matching, faceup, a wig, tattoos....

Also @milodrums, that could definitely just be it! I know that sometimes, it's just a matter of changing the styling and boom, you fall in love all over again! Hope that happens for you too! (Although, I can't say I would be mad if a Breakaway would pop up on the marketplace! )

 

That's true! I don't want to regret selling TAT Honestly this doll was a crazy chance. I remember in 2008, I click buy and pay and I didn't get it in my luts order. I was sad and checked my bank and found out they charged me so I made a lot of emails with Luts. Thank goodness luts decided to send me it!

However, I'm afraid to change her personality! Hope I can update her without any change, or maybe what I should do I just put the lashes on and leave her as is?!! Ugh, LOL

@SacredMonsoon Aw, I know what you mean. My week was also pretty emotionally draining & rough. Luckily, we come home to our dolls beautiful faces and that can make the problems melt away sometimes

I'm so glad that USPS figured out what happened to your head, @JellyParade, I was actually holding my breath reading about it! But all's well that ends well.

@TeaPartyRevolution, I was wondering, would @littlegreythings like a pic or two of archer hands? I have not one, but two pairs. I could take pics of the WS/BG ones I have, (Shuichi, my Elf Chiwoo's NS ones are in a place that's so safe, they're still there. Oops.) and all I ask is to be given credit on the site as "Ryuichi Sakuma 13 from DoA" or something like that. Anything to help out that amazing CP Delf archive site that I use all the time!

My grail boy came home today ;w; an unmodded CP Delf sleeping vamp Woosoo. I love him to bits, can't wait til he gets his faceup! ^^ I absolutely adore sleeping sculpts, and to me he's perfection

I am selling the doll that used to own this wig and decided to try it on Aiko since it's her style
I'm also probably going to wipe Aiko tomorrow and start a new faceup. These lashes aren't staying on well and taking some of her already chippy eyeliner with them

I have a sneaking suspicion she might already have some already - certainly if you have a look at this picture and the El in the middle, I think he may have some archer hands... But she hasn't been around in a while, so I'm not sure.

Sorry for all the spam lately XD ;;; I'm now 8 months pregnant and super bored!
Finally decided on a pair of eyes for Winter, my Soony, to use as 'her' eyes. Trying to reduce + sell my amount of extra wigs/eyes/clothes to save up for just oooone last delf.... (Isn't that what they all say? I thought I wanted just 2 and now it's like 5... lol

 

Oh my gosh, she's sooooooo CUTE @juumou I love all the white, the light white/silver slippers, the skirt/dress and the sweater is so cute cute cute! And topped off with a white wig, just snowy perfection which I will be dreaming of all hot summer long

 

Ahhh thank you so much! That means a lot to me that you appreciate it ^^ I feel like her 'look' has been a long time in the making and she's finally coming together I adore pale looks with dark eyes

I can only say great things about Tsuminaki/VittaVera as she has done the face-up of most of my dolls. She's amazing and very talented!
She also did the face-up of the Yder I had and now he has found a new loving home.

I've been playing with Feather a lot lately, and I've felt like I'm so lucky to have her. do you guys ever look at your fave and think wow, I'm so happy? I've been so excited to get Snow together, but Feather is still so special and beautiful. I love gushing about her ahhhhh I've been posting little stories about her on my instagram, and it's been so fun!

 

@IngieBee I actually did not do that faceup! I wish I was that talented LOL. It was an ooolllld one by CallMeGorgeous that her previous owner. commissioned. Like, 9 years old I think? Probably why it was starting to chip

It's not the cleanest paint job I've ever done but the style and colors definitely suit my sweet pastel babe's look much better than the other face! I always feel closer to my dolls when I get to paint them myself and now I truly feel like Aiko is mine forever!

@SacredMonsoon I totally know what you mean! Sometimes when I'm working at my desk or something, I just take one of my faves and sit them next to me because I'm just so happy to have my plastic people in my life! I've been so connected to my BJDs in the past year. I've collected many [off topic] dolls and toys in my life and I'm in the process of selling a lot of those things because they just don't make me as happy as my resin kids. I mean, I do so much for them; paint them, make wigs, sew, etc. And to keep this rambling on topic It's so nice to have Delfs now because they were the dolls that made me love BJDs so much! Which is probably why most of my fave dolls are CP or FL sculpts lol

Congrats, @juumou, on your newest boy and also on your "incoming" one! It sounds like pretty soon you'll be so busy that you should enjoy your Delf while you can. Lucky you! And spam away, I know I'm not the only one that loves watching someone's Delf come to life bit by bit. Its a fascinating and fun experience, at least for me it is. Congrats Winter!

Lately I've been acquiring many of my grails, both Delf and non-Delf. It was pretty sweet when I re-found this shirt while perusing Alice's Collection and remembered that Ryuichi, my very first Delf had wanted it since forever, so it was really cool when I finally I got it for him!

Oh, that's cool, @TeaPartyRevolution, just thought I'd help out. I love that site, I'm on it quite often, admittedly sometimes simply pining over many of them. I plan on looking for Shuichi's archer hands soon, I think I know where they are. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

It seems I missed a bunch of cuties, including your El, @himitsu ! (PS, where did you find that shirt?!?! I absolutely need one for Amyas )

While I was away, though, a special package came-- Dmitri's new body! I've yet to wipe Alois's old faceup from his head (since I have since run out of sealant, and my local Michael's is also out ) but I'm pretty happy with the proportions. Probably needs a restringing, but oh well. It'll have to do for now, since I'm too lazy for that.

You've also probably noticed that Amy is both eyeless and faceless... and well, I unfortunately had to wipe him the day prior to Dmitri's arrival because his faceup was damaged... so I guess he'll get a new face with Dmitri.... and Alois......... and whenever I get around to my Soom Cheshire.......
