Yeah, I thought so. That was the whole idea to be honest I had 18mm eyes in him before, but replaced them with 16mm and liked it waay better. Hopefully my stepdad won't have to unfollow me

Thank you! I was thinking of getting him a long straight red wig, because I don't have a boy yet with super long hair, or any dolls with red hair. But we will see! I didn't really have any plans for him when I got him. I just really wanted a Breakaway So I'll probably just experiment with what I think looks best.

It's the first time in days that we've had a beautiful morning, so I took a couple photos of Kirahfaye.

I have a cunundrom. I want to buy a pair of shoes but they adimently say it's made to fit Volks SD10 feet, and aren't responsible if tey don't fit my doll. Which is fine, except I can't find anywhere where it is written what size feet Volks SD10 have! Can anyone tell me if Luts girl feet on type 3 will fit a Volks SD10 shoe? Thanks

 

According to the Volks page on the wiki:

• Foot Length: 6.5cm
• Foot Width: 2.5cm

According to the CP Database, “Foot length: 6.7 cm”

It might be really close haha.

 

Oh thank you so much @JellyParade , I did look in the wiki area but I missed it! All I saw were a list of sculpts, I have to learn to find my way around that better Well, my girl's foot is measuring 6.5cm but i will want her to wear stockings... I'll ask them, the shoes are bloody expensive!

 

Good luck @IngieBee ! That measurement from the CP database might be for the Type 1 or 2 body, so my apologies for not clarifying.

 

Sad update. Turns out my package is still in limbo. They’ve sent it back and forth between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia now a few times. I have a feeling I won’t get my head unless they ship it back to the seller and the seller sends it out with a different company, or drives it out to me...

 

Guys i just finished my book, i'm so excited i had to tell my dolly friends! Its my hopeful career, and i'd hit a point where i thought i'd never achieve this. I restarted my goals on my birthday in February, and its my first real completed book. Omg. please dont mind my glee, I'm hopefully getting some dolly stuff soon too! And moving! Eep so much going on!!!

But your news is great @SacredMonsoon ! Congrats on finishing your book, now comes the hard part, editing it, LOL Unless you're lucky enough to have someone do that for you?? Already moving again?? Wow, you just moved in I thought? At least you're young, I seriously cringe at the thought of moving after 30 years in the same place, LOL. There are things, I know are in the garage from my childhood, that i haven't seen since... well my childhood, LOL.

I'm just really proud of myself. as for moving, yes i moved last september, but my parents are going to build me an apartment on their garage, so im hoping to be in my forever home by winter! And if i am, i'll be able to afford dolly stuff too. its a lot going on but i'm handling it lol... and thank you, Snow's been looking so cute lately

@kaboomkim, thank you I contacted the seller, and they opened up a contact form with USPS since I couldn't; it kept giving me an error saying that I had an invalid address.
So far, they haven't said if they've been emailed back, and the package has since bounced back to Delaware (for the umpteenth time) and then left Philadelphia as of 6:30pm today ;; Not that I'm positive it really went to any of those distribution centers.

 

Yours is east coast but I have a package coming infrom Canada that went to Chicago again, and oh boy, that made me cringe, LOL. It's not a BJD, thank goodness, but it supposedly cleared ISC Chicago 4 days ago and diappeared. When I saw it was going to Chicago, I just rolled my eyes and knew I may not see it for 6 months if ever, LOL. Sorry Chicagoins I love ya but USPS in Chicago and ISC is so broken there it's insane! I sincerely hope things are better on the East coast, I recently got a different package that went through NY and it was fine and quick. Hope it arrives soon @JellyParade

 

Yeah, I felt you on that @IngieBee. I've had a few process through Chicago (when they easily could have gone through NY ISC, but that's a whole other complaint). I will say NY ISC is pretty quick, which is nice. Most of my international packages go through there, luckily. I think I've only ever had one issue with it, but to be fair, the package was pretty large, and had a few items in it, so for the time it took (roughly a week to move) I can't complain too much.

So far, since my last update here, my package has left Philly, again (marking the fourth time tracking has said "departed from Philadelphia distribution"), but lets see if it actually gets here. We also got an email back, but it was just the auto generated "your request has been redirected, please wait for your next email from the department" lol. I will say though, that the seller is doing really well handling this for all that we can do since it's already been sent out, and they've kept me completely up to date on everything thus far, so I'm pretty happy about that, all things considered.

 

Ugh, @JellyParade Life in Covid times could be worse I guess Hope it redirects and arrives, finally!

On a happy note, my dollheart arrived in Los Angeles customs and they say it'll be delivered on Saturday I still haven't gotten my Emily her new wig or her stockings or her shoes, LOL. I need to get those ordered! She's going to look totally different! (Juri 05)

My Dollheart short skirt fer arrived (same one that @Glace Leau posted on Easter page 41 and it's gorgeous) But I want to get her shoes, stockings and wig before I put it on so I don't get disappointed in it due to parts not being there. It's really lovely and I must thank Glace Leau for giving us/me the heads up that they were on sale. The next day after I ordered, it went up in price

Yah, I agree @coop52 these old CP/Luts dolls are all stunning and I wish they'd come back! But at least this thread is nice and active Anyways, Just wanted to report that I finally got my orders in for shoes and stockings and a wig for my Juri05. Now I can't wait to see her in her new look. I haven't put her dress on yet because I'm worried I won't like it unless her hair is different, so I will let her be as is until the wig comes so I don't prejudice myself

Feather's got such a pixie fairy look about her. Such a cute nose, eh? My Lishe is so ..... Motherly, LOL How different is that?

 

Lishe is so versatile. I don't see myself getting one in the foreseeable future (honestly don't have the space or spare funds for a doll of that size/investment rn lol) but I already have her planned out as I want her to be Ethan's twin sister. I've even found the same eyes Ethan has in a more purpley-blue shade that I'm going to get and save so they can be heterochromia twins when the time comes

Feather is like that! The first lishe i ever saw was a pixie fairy with a fur wig and a green fairy dress, it was back in 2004 i think! Although her character isn't she does have that look. I love how delfs can be so different!

Aw Aiko looks great! @kaboomkim! I love her top! I hope you can get a lishe someday, they're so gorgeous, my ultimate fave sculpt! I may be slightly bias but Feather is my life lol

 

I actually got into collecting BJDs because I wanted to recreate my namesake in resin. And while my Lishe elf was made 2 years before I even knew BJDs existed it took several more years before I found her.

@Kirahfaye Your namesake is so lovely, I could look at her all day Isn't it crazy that some of the best dolls were just waiting for you all along? I got into bjds around 2010, the CP/Delfs were the first I ever saw and I fell in love but I couldn't afford them at the time. I bought a cheaper doll thinking they'd be around forever and then one year later they were gone Luckily the marketplace exists lol!

That was a lot of reading (I really need to keep reminding myself to keep up with this thread) - and earlier the discussion was on Fairyland/CP not understanding how popular the older sculpts are - they would if they were keeping up with this thread, there were more replies than even the MNF thread!

I just got in to do their survey, but it didn't given enough options for me to tell them what I wanted... which is basically not more of the same face with some small change. (I asked for a Breakaway, El, and Lishes - particularly in sizes they said they would do, but never did.)

Anyway, here's some spam - in response to a conversation I just noticed - one of the things I like best about the classic sculpts is how much they can look different according to how they are made up and dressed. (And this involves a Shiwoo crew as well as some of my Lishe crew... Its an old photo, there are plenty more Shiwoos and Lishes in these two crews)

For a comparison this is what Kirah looked like when I got her. I sent her off to AngelToast and she was able to create the vision in my head. I think I mentioned before that the original faceup was on of her first when she started taking commissions.

@IngieBee so did I... and a PKF version. They once promised to do all their sculpts in all sizes, so they got my hopes up. Should have asked for the MNF Elf Vampire Lishe we all missed out on when the split happened.

@TeaPartyRevolution Your Lishe collection is amazing And a MNF VE Lishe sounds amazing! I don't remember seeing one? I'm guessing she was before my time in the BJD hobby? Maybe we'll see some sculpts like that if/when they rerelease some of the discontinued sculpts? I mean... I can dream right lol
That would be a great event for them. Or maybe a future anniversary they could rerelease some classic CP sculpts.

 

Yes! My El, Mike, that is his third. Original got messed up, had someone else do it, missed the old so much his head was sent back to Luts and they repainted him! My Shiwoo, King, who btw is 15, that is his original faceup! Mike's is like...12 to 14 years old but he will be 16 in July!

@kaboomkim Thank you! I always say it, but I should take some better shots of them. I also have a few more of them than were in that photo...

Unfortunately there isn't a MNF VE Lishe, it was rumoured to be the next sculpt to receive that treatment right before Luts and Fairyland split, and Luts immediately stopped selling MNF Elves and Vampire Elves (There's no LTF Elf Lishe either, which has always disappointed me!). That hasn't stopped me wishing they would create one! It's like the limited number of Delf sculpts that have a Vampire or Elf or Vamp Elf version or the number of either MNF or Delfs that were available in the Tanning skin.
I think there might be no more than 10 of the Elf / Vampires, but feel free to correct me: Lishe, El, Breakaway (Vamp only), Shiwoo (Elf and Vampire, not both), Soo - Angel Elf/Dark Elf, Chiwoo, Woosoo (Vamp) etc (I've reached the edge of my knowledge with 7 of them).
There are only 5 sculpts in Delf and 5 in MNF that appeared in the Tanning Skin - Lishe, El, Shiwoo, DES and Chiwoo in Delf; and Lishe, El, Soo and Chiwoo along with 5 "Siwoo" in MNF.

Although I suppose I should stop wishing for more Lishe sculpts, I have technically completed my collection and probably don't need any more...
