Ember looks simply stunning!

I'm still working on Noriko's LBD. I had to wait for some pieces to come in, and I had to use my seam ripper on parts that I messed up on as well. Now I'm basically looking at it and figuring out how can I make what I see in my head match what I have to work with. If only I was more artistic.

My favorite outfit of Noriko's is also her fer. I found out that its a limited edition one, so I feel lucky that I was able to get it when I did. I might have posted this pic of it before.

Since I have so many Delf, you would have to be specific of which one' favorite outfit I have for them. Of course, I could simply post pics of each of them as individual posts....

I got a limited fer as well, way back in 09. It's a limited color i think, it was a loooong time ago now! here's a pretty side profile in her fer, I think no matter what, Feather and her fer will always be so special!

I’ve always loved the Fers. Never managed to get my hands on one, though. Feather and Noriko both look great in theirs!

 

Dropping by to share a photo of my Vampire Shiwoo (eyes modded) on a spare B&G body. He's does not yet have the correct street-cone-colored wig, his piercings, nor proper eyes, but I'm glad he's finally faceupped at least.

I'm incredibly excited because I just bought a modded Sleeping Vampire Woosoo from a seller over on Instagram. He's a grail doll of mine and I still can't believe I was able to have the chance to adopt him

It's a funny story actually, I had placed a bid on another doll auction but lost. I decided it must have been a sign and jokingly thought to myself 'maybe I'll find a Woosoo or something.' I wasn't expecting one to appear only a few days later I definitely felt like it was fate/meant to be

So I'm not empty handed, here's an old photo of Sorrel. I can't wait to see him and Woosoo side by side.

 

Congrats @Magical Rin!!! Woosoo's are rare and awesome! And Sorrel looks beautiful too! Can't wait to see your two together!

 

Thank you! I can't wait to see him in person, I love his sculpt so much I'm already making clothing patterns for his potential outfits (now I just need to find the right fabric )

I ordered a dress for Noriko from China over a month ago (it got stuck in COVID customs from both counties), and today it arrived! When I put it on her, she automatically moved into this dance position. I'm now wondering if she's somehow channeling Ginger Rogers from those old movies.

I have to admit @SacredMonsoon, I love it when you put Feather in a color that contrasts against her pink hair! It makes her hair stand out more when you do. I hope you do it more often, she's so pretty.

Aw thank you @Ryuichi Sakuma 13! i do like putting her in different colors sometimes! She has three or four shirts that aren't pink, but I do tend to favour pastels! Snow will hopefully be able to share some of her pale clothes until I make some stuff for her!

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 Yes, I asked Angel Toast to open up his eyes a bit (albeit with some guilt at permanently modifying a CP Delf!)

His name is Dante, an old character of mine that was originally meant to be shelled as a WS Juri '06...none of my characters ever end up sticking to their original molds...

Oh man, Feather looks amazing in that purple top! Never mind that purple is my favorite color.

Yes, I managed to get the zipper I needed, even though it took a couple of tries to get it to look the way I wanted. I'm glad I hand-sew, it means that when I mess up, I can take my time and redo it. I need to stop watching Roku and pinning at the same time. I'm happy with how its coming along so far, this Project has been a real learning experience. I'm not sure if I'll ever make another dress by hand again, I'll probably stick to tops and skirts. Not as many curves to worry about.

@Serraphym, don't worry about needing to mod Dante, sometimes you have to do what you have to do. If you look at my icon pic, Ryuichi's nose is modded. He took an extremely hard fall when I first got him, and I had to sand his nose. I also did so to Ryuma, his Dreaming Shiwoo twin brother, because Ryuichi was originally going to have two heads. Hraban is also modded, but he came to me that way, and I'm still debating on giving Noriko pierced ears.

Dante looks amazing, and now I know why, Angel Toast does great work!

@Fjaril, keep your eyes open. Even now and then, one pops up for sale online.

Does anybody know if smart doll clothing fits delfs? Theres a lot of cute jeans on etsy and i have no clue if they'll fit since smart dolls are so slim.

 

Hello! Sorry for intruding, I'm just getting back into bjd and I always used to love luts dolls. I've been looking through the website, and I really love the head mold/makeup look of the doll used to model the Delf body mature type 3 (girl) lutsdoll co.,ltd. the link, if that works.

I was thinking it could be a few different models, but due to the makeup I'm not positive. I sent a question in on the website, but I'm waiting on a response still. I also tried reverse image searching the photos, hoping someone else asked the same question, but I had no luck. My google-fu isn't the greatest though. That's why I'm asking here, because I'm sure a few of you guys will know instantly! Thanks for reading all this and thanks for your help!

 

It's hard to say. You need to find out the size of clothing from sellers. I have a stretch dress for Dollfie Dream. But it's small for Delf. Although you can wear it

 

Pretty sure it's Nina. The face matches and looking at the faceups they match the ones on the Nina models: lutsdoll co.,ltd., lutsdoll co.,ltd.

 

My Buyee boy finally arrived! It was such a long wait. He was packed so poorly with only a little bit of bubble wrap and cushion, but he’s not broken anywhere I can see. He is floppy as heck, I don’t have eyes in his size, and his faceup is terrible, but I’m glad he finally made it home. I’ll have to decide what to do with him.

 

She isn’t one of the traditional Delfs. She would be one of their new models designed after CP split to form Fairyland. All of those Delf sculpts went with them and some became F60s, instead.
I’m guessing the doll shown might be Nina by the shape of her eyes but I’m not as familiar with the new sculpts. The type 3 body is basically the type 1 body but with different resin.

 

These are the jeans I'm interested in, any idea?

I think the SmartDolls and the Delfs are pretty similar in size, actually. SmartDolls have thinner waists but wide hips. When I get home from work I can try and do a size comparison for you if you like.

 

The measurements I can find indicate that Delf girls have slightly wider hips than Smart Dolls, and Smart Dolls have wider hips than Dollfie Dream. (Heh, I remember when I used to have my DES back in the day and a Volks oldskin F-08/Delf hybrid that SD clothes would swim on them a little. XD)

I don't have a SmartDoll but they can generally share clothing with Dollfie Dream outside of bust size weirdness. I tried the pants that came with my Dollfie Icon that are super tight on her on Adriana and they just slid right on and buttoned up without issue and she was able to sit in them without the snap popping. (They actually fit her better than my Icon rofl Trista *can't* sit worth a darn in them. XD) The reviews on those pants seem to indicate that they don't run tight so it might just work since SmD is closer to Delf than DD.

Gah! Okay, better late than never, but here is a comparison between a Delf and a SmartDoll. As you can see, the SmartDoll is taller and her waist is tiny compared to the Delf, but their hips are actually about the same size. SmartDoll’s might actually be a little bit wider. So, I think jeans will fit a Delf girl, although be a bit longer in the leg. POSSIBLY a little loose at the hips.

I don’t have any non-stretch jeans but I do have jean shorts and a pair of white non-stretch capris I can try on Ember then, just to be sure.

(Edit: sorry for the messy background. I was vacuuming earlier so everything was kind of shoved around and disorganized).

@Stormlight thank you! This is really helpful for buying clothes. I've noticed a lot of etsy shops selling smartdoll clothing and always wondered how the sizing compared

 

I changed Ryuichi's clothes into ones more appropriate for early summer, and took a few quick outdoor pics of him. He's looking pretty serious right now, probably because its been a while since I've taken pics of him. I hope he's not too mad at me for focusing on clothes making for some of the newer Delf I have. He's so spoiled! But then again, he is a rock star....

I have some great news! I'm finally moving home and I'll be with my dolls by the end of August! I'm hoping to really dive back into dolls again and sew and faceup Snow!

Welp, its been raining for the last two days, which is great because I think we were in a bit of a drought for quite some time. The trees are looking pretty happy being able to drink for the first time in about a month. Its now cool and damp, and my cats are taking turns watching the rain fall. Its all very cute!

I finally finished Noriko's LBD! I wish I was better at making darts for it, but all in all, I think I did a pretty good job nonetheless. The idea was that it was supposed to look reminiscent of singer Bjork's infamous swan dress.

Looks like it stopped raining, yay! I'm hoping to be able to update a pic I took a long time ago of all of my Crew before the new ones come home. Or, if nothing else, to at least get all of my Delf Crew on the stairs of the deck and get a few shots of them all together.

Oh my goodness I completely disappeared again didn't I? The world got kind of crazy and working from home became a bit of an adjustment. I didn't even look at DoA really for awhile but I missed it so I'm back. I have so many posts to catch up on!

Even though I wasn't on DoA my dolls have actually been getting a lot of love recently. A lot of my crew have been taking turns posing in front of my castle wall decor. Rae included!

 

@Ryuichi Sakuma 13 her dress looks great! Very unique and edgy! Group shots are my favourite thing, can't wait to see!

Well, I am now the proud owner of a Woosoo Sleeping Vampire. He arrived yesterday! His clothes, eyes and wig haven't arrived yet (should be in the next few days) but here he is in all his bald and naked glory...

Well, Woosoo's clothes and things arrived today. I'm not convinced on the outfit combo (the shoes I bought didn't end up looking right either so he stole another doll's) but it'll do for now until I get around to buying the other outfits I have planned for him. I was going for a mori boy look to compliment Sorrel's dark mori boy style.

I've been in a slump the last few days worrying about my nephew who had surgery (he's fine and recovering) but it's been 4 days of no motivation to do anything. I'm currently sewing my daughter a new shirt, and have several sewing projects lined up. Time to make doll clothes!!! My sewing room is finally functional (good part of the kids leaving the house, empty nest syndrome isn't all bad, LOL

I'm sewing human clothing right now, as I've only recently finished making my sewing room. The #1 thing I needed was a cutting table. I simply can't get on the ground or back up again anymore, LOL. And the dining room gives me such back pain! But a nice high cutting table is an absolute dream! I made it like a Murphy bed, it folds up onto the wall, and folds down to the center of the room. I'm so proud I could still build something, and so happy to have it! The bottom was turned into a pin board so when it is up, I can see my "inspiration drawings . This WILL lead to doll clothes, but I want to make some adult clothing first, as it's easier, plus I'm finding my old machines are in need of a little maintenance tweaking. Again, easier to fix the mistakes on a larger garment. But I'm so glad to be sewing!
