Coral Reef Doll waiting room

Would you by chance happen to know the head circumference of Layla? I am waiting for her as well.

 

I looked around for Layla’s head size and couldn’t find anything. If she’s like Amber or Opal maybe she’ll be 16.5 or 17.5 like they are? Layla’s a beautiful sculpt! ♥︎

 

I'm waiting on my Amber mantis in red skin! Really hoping they ship out this month.
The moth mask set I got in already, and it was beautiful!

 

Oh how long has this waiting room been here? *settles in*
I'm waiting on three orders, an Opal mantis with face up, plus a moth mask, the robotic arms back back, and the bust stand with wings and a head. (the head having face up B and eyes.)
I will be here a while before that all comes in I am sure, none the less anyone know the average wait times with Coral Reef dolls?

 

My blank Opal mantis arrived today, I ordered back in April so it's was a little over 6 months wait for it

 

Congrats @Epicari and @masa! Any box opening photos up yet?

My red Amber arrives tomorrow, so I'll be sure to take a video for my ig.

 

Amber arrived but haven't gotten to open her just yet. After work I'll be sure to take pictures though!

Thanks for sharing pics! Wow, that resin colour is gorgeous! And...everything! I especially love the jointing on and sculpting of her arms. And those ears.

How is the posing? Those arms look like so much fun to pose.

 

I might as well join while I wait. I ordered the robotic arms and angel wings backpacks in early August.
When I bought them my idea was to give one of the backpacks to my 1 BJD friend in my city as a suprise gift and to keep the other for myself.... but I'm afraid that when I see them, I'll like both so much I won't want to part with them.

And while I'm waiting I am sorely tempted by Coral Reef's everything.

 

YES omg her ears are to die for! Her posing is really nice. I think she's a little tight right out of the box, but she'll loosen a little over time.

 

I'm still waiting for my opal and moth mask, but very excited that people are starting to get their girls!

I'm waiting on Layla (full doll) and Red Lotus (head) and I'm so excited to get them! The body sculpt is soooo gorgeous and the heads are so unique. I'm so excited to work on them!

 

I'm waiting on bat ear parts from BJDivas. I ordered back in May but they've only recently received the moth masks so it might be a little while longer

 

I live the unique shape to the ears too. Turns out the ears are a little fragile as I discovered last time I took her out of the box


I thought I hadn't turned her head enough and snapped the ear when I last put her back in the box. But I couldn't find the piece in the box so i'm not 100% sure how I did it. Finding the piece was a whole saga as I couldn't remember what room I had her out in last, so carefully scanned and swept the floor of each room. After having no luck I searched through the contents of my hand vac and main vacuum bag but still had no luck.
There was only one possibility remaining, I had accidentally swept it up and put it in the bin. There has been a rubbish collection so it was possible it was already gone but there were two recent bags to check. The main complication was, due to cleaning out my house guinea pigs every day, the bags were half full of soiled wood shavings and particles of hay. I had very little hope in successfully finding a tiny piece of white plastic in all of that. But miracles of miracles, halfway through combing though the contents of the first bag I actually found it! Oh boy that was a relief.
Fortunately it's clean break so think the piece can be glued on with too much of a visible seam. So yeah, watch those ear tips if you're a gigantic klutz like me and make sure the head is turned when putting them back in thier boxes

In other news, I going to ask the mods if Coral Reef is considered on topic as would be nice to have a discussion thread to chat and share photos in

 

OMG what an adventure! I'm so glad you found it, and I'll be sure to be extra careful with her ears from now on.

Yay! Glad it's on topic and this thread is back, because like others I got word yesterday that my Layla shipped!

Edit: Just checked the tracking and it says she's out for delivery!

 

My three laylas have arrived monday, they are beautiful and so are their boxes.

 

Wow look at their colors! They are all amazing and beautiful. Congrats!!

 

It's fun to see some of the other colours, the green looks like an interesting base colour!

 

Oh wow, they are gorgeous! That green will deffo be cool to work with!

 

Now that these beauties are starting to arrive, about how long was the wait for those who have received their order? I ordered the robot arms at the end of July, so I am definitely getting antsy! LOL I ordered them in the black resin though, so I am sure it will be a while.

 

@redmaiko I too am waiting on black resin robo arms from around then. As well as my Mantis, which I ordered through BJDivas. I ordered back in April and mine might be at Dives as we speak though with Holidays I wont know for a bit.
I know they got in a few big shipments from more then one company a little bit ago, and another doll I was waiting on will be shipped out after the holidays. I will let people here know when my Mantis is home at last.

 

@Tippetarius Wooo!! You and I always have such similar tastes. Sounds like it will be about 3-ish more months then for the arms. Can't wait!

 

I received my Layla a couple weeks ago! I am very impressed by the box design (such pretty art) and by the doll herself! I haven't had the chance to work on her yet, but she's absolutely gorgeous.

 

Thanks for sharing this photo, it's really cool to see the different colors! I ordered white skin, but seeing this makes me wish I had ordered the green skin instead, haha. The brownish gray is also gorgeous.

Got an Email about my Mantis to confirm my address so she should ship any day now.

 

I’ve fall in love with the new “One”, the cyborg like doll, I’ve ordered the A version with extra human head and I added the 1/4 human body too.
The people in custom office are going to be happy when it arrives… with the 5Kg box XD.
Now I’ve try to not order the B version…
Now the wonderful waiting time…

 

My Opal came home today. She's so pretty, and the art on the box is stunning. I've named her Orchid and plan to model her look on an orchid mantis.

I'm not out of the waiting room yet though as have two other Coral Reef orders, robot arms with bat ears, and a layaway of a demon girl bust.

 

Excited for you @MeridaUK ! That's going to be a fun box opening.

Congrats to you @Tippetarius !! I think I need to get those robot arms someday to put on my mantis. I'm hoping the whole arm sections could be strung on, if not just the hands.

I have a lot of metallic paints at my disposal… I’m not sure exactly what colors I want her to be. I’m still debating whether her name should be Deimos or Phobos… What do you think?

 

Hmm I like Phobos but I think Deimos fits her better. Sound more digital, like the daemon in cyberpunk.

 

I'm waiting on A Amber and a "one" human head on human body, CloverSingingbjd allowing me to special human version of the one by placing a order with a fullset. I'm so eternally grateful for company's giving wiggle room. My Mantis girl should be here n a few weeks so excited to do an unboxing.

Alright I have an update. They replied to my message through IG. As for the payments they gave me another mail, so my Ling is paid off and I only need to wait some more god knows for how long
