I have both an Amaeta headback for my Unoa hybrid and my Chibi hybrid. They work great :-)

I decided to play with Kaguya today. I am always amazed at the flexibilities of that cute face of her... She can wear any wig!! I also decided to put her back on the littlefee body and order a new one for my littlefee XD

So what sized eyes does everyone prefer in their chibi's?

 

10mm is the perfect size for me ^__^

They come with 12mm

but i was also thinking i might like 10mm because so far i always go down a size for my dolls.

Same here for the shipping notice!! I was wondering also about the eyes, I think I'll get 10 mm as I find that the 12 mm on my B-el are king of big for him. I can only imagine on a chibi. What kind of eyes are you all using for your chibi's? I'm wondering if glass eyes would be okay...

For the eye mechanism.. do the eyes need to be flat or with the stem?

Eye size is a personal choice, depends on the look you're going for. I like 12 mm for my Chibis!

I prefer 10mm eyes for a more mature look.

Soooo much jealousy over the people who won the Cocoa Chibis! They're sooo cute.

I have finally reached a goal: I will have ALL the Chibi Unoa faceplates! It took a LOT of money and some searching for the sold out faces, but finally I will have all ten faces! Not that I'll ever use them all, I'm sure, but now I can change my girl up any time I want and she has tons of expressions to choose from. C: I am just addicted to this girl. She is hands down my favorite doll...for now, anyway!

Thank you! I'm just waiting for Noppin to ship the ones I'm missing. I love that they have so many options, but I kind of get obsessed with obtaining all the optional parts on dolls like this. @_@; That's probably why it's usually best when I buy dolls with one head and one only: that way I can't obsess over finding every single option part like I did for these. But I sure do love Chibi Unoa the very most. Her little body is surprisingly posable considering how simple the joints are.

 

My Chibi girls came to me from someone just like that so they each came with all the faceplates, horns, ears, shoes, hands etc. If I'd been buying direct I wouldn't have ordered most of it, but it's great to have it.

Ah, jealous! But I probably would have had a hard time forking over that much cash at once. At least this way I was able to buy them slowly and over a period of time and it wasn't quite as much of a shock as paying as much as that undoubtedly must have cost.

I think what I love best about these girls is how beautifully they wear clothes - seriously, EVERYTHING looks great on them! And how solidly they stand. And how darn expressive they are from every angle! I think now that my girl has a thousand faces, she needs some new hair - off to search for the nicest soft pink wigs there are! (I admit I'm not looking forward to doing 5 more faceups to match the existing ones...xD)

 

I handled one chibi body and I must say they are the most awesome body ever! I love the locking joint and the paper hand is just so cute! I am not a fan of the big bust however but I am a fan of lilin... I wish it would be possible to order lilin with roron body =_=

 

Im sure there would always be someone willing to do a swap for it ^_^

The eyes the Chibis were wearing int hat photo were Gumdrops, bought a long time ago. Wish I had more.

I'm also so excited to see the coco Chibis when they arrive! I saw one on YJ a while back and so wanted to bid, but no money. The one I saw had no face up, I'll be excited to see one complete!

I took a few of her eye from the 12mm section and tried to 'tan' her unoa xD


not the right colour tan but it ws the best i could get xD

captainkyo They do fit well! I noticed you asked about the eyemech though-- I don't use mine, so I'm not sure if ginarolo eyes will work with them.

 

Ah, alright, if not i guess ill just not use the mech, xD my girl left NYC at 6:45pm yeterday night~ @.@ wonder how long itll take for her to get to florida..

captainkyo, those won't fit I have both chibies and two pairs of those shoes and they won't fit by any way.

The chibi I ordered is still in customs. I really hope it won't take as long as my last package. A week. And one of the locals here waited 3 weeks for one recently. **gaaa**

But I made my girl a hat since I couldn't find one in her size I liked.

so now im really shocked your roron came assembled lol.

eleniel Noppin had a mix up when I won my Fairy Skin Unoa and worked really hard to resolve the situation. It takes time because there's a lot of emailing with different time zones, etc but it was finally resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Cocoa Chibi seems to have had a more limited run so the communication may go faster but also it may make it harder to replace your items if it comes to that. Good luck, I hope it all goes well, it's so disappointing!

 

I received my cocoa Chibi yesterday!! So happy, but I'm not quite sure what name to call her yet, temporarily I'm calling her Rosa. Gratz Captainkyo and Enaibi for receiving yours!! And I hope everything will get resolved for you Eleniel. On my side the only thing I dislike a little is that her seam lines are so visible (with my other Unoas it was way less visible and I sanded them) and I'm so afraid to sand her and that she might have a big discolouration. I don't know what to do.

 

Awww my Cocoa Roron has a sister in Canada, do you have photos of her seams? I would suggest not to just in case of air bubbles, not simply discoloration.

 

I'm glad to know my Lilin have a sister in eastern Canada too. I'm really sorry for the bad quality picture, but I hope you can see the seams well, it's pretty much similar on both side. I know if eventually I get a better camera and take more pictures, I can always photoshop, but since her character will wear more summer like clothing, she'll often have her legs and arms bare.

 

Will any the tan Lilin owners be kind enough to take a closer photo of those mint green looking cat ears? Because I am just dying over how pretty they seem to be in captiankyo's photo! (Makes me wish Roron came with those instead of pink. :C)

 

Kyarolin, I can't tell other than the lower torso part, I'm hoping it won't bother you after a while, I may try getting a very superfine sandpaper and testing on the headcap in a circular motion, try on the feet - that's only if it's really bothering you, you could quite possibly get the lines to be less noticeable, hopefully they aren't sharp.

I'll be slowly working on my girl and faceplates, I'll be cleaning and restringing too. I actually really love the light pink resin ears I got with Roron!
