Chibi Unoa discussion part 3

Thank you both! It was kind of tricky since it was my first time using iDye Poly and not Rit, but the method was similar enough that I worked it out. She's only got one really uneven part and it's down on her leg.

So I tried looking... But I don't think its been done yet. Has anyone seen if the buff head back with a faceplate, will fit onto a Realfee?

 

Realfee are extremely small compared to chibis... The Realfee neck circumference is listed as 3.7cm, while the buff headback is meant to fit necks around 7cm. I think it would probably need a lot of modifying to work...

 

Agreed. I didn't realize that chibi unoas are more closer to slim Minifees. I just saw someone stick their buff back onto a littlefee. An I thought they were closer to a yosd size.

I've been trying to learn as much as I can about these girls, before I buy one. I hear their body girth is close to a slim mini. Is this true? I know moe line is smaller in hight, has any one done a comparison photo? I'm wondering if I can buy moe line clothes for her.

Unoa Chibis are an odd size because they have girth like a slim mini, but their height is between a yosd and a slim mini. I've seen some hybriding with smaller heads on a chibi body, but the neckshape makes that really tricky. All in all, Chibis can do quite a bit of clothes sharing with unoas and minifees, you'll just have to shorten the legs and sleeves. Hope this helps!

 

Okay! awesome. That's what I thought i'd read, I just wanted to double check. I have basic sewing skills, and can do alterations.

YES! this size chart is exactly what I was looking for!!!! wow! its very awesome to see. chibi is very close to moe line. the legs look close to the same length, it just looks like moe, has a longer torso.

I got my girl back this week from her stint at nezumitoo's for clothes and she came with that perfect outfit as a BDay gift so naturally I had to use it to introduce my dwarven smith

@Ashbet That pic was made possible by my Mom who, armed with a watering can, held the sparkler with the strict order TO GET THAT THING AWAY FROM THE DOLL ONCE THE SHUTTER CLICKS! I still died in that one minute we shot it cause WHAT IF!? Nothing got harmed tho

Meanwhile I braved my Nemesis the glue and finally gave Hiltja a beard - I adored that particulat design of the dwarf woman in 'The Hobbit' and it had been my headcanon for female dwarves since then!

I had to post in here with good news! I finally finished Chioma's blushing and faceup and she is so fun to photograph!

 

Oh she is such a cutie! I adore her skin color!

Thank you! I'd never used iDye poly but I've become a Rit expert in the last few years, so I gave it a try, and then evened it out with high pigment PanPastels.
I love your characters and the use of their outfits and the light and settings in your pictures! So inspiring!

Aw thank you! Stella Maris made the wig custom for me. She does incredible work with fibers to make the best African natural hair type wigs.

 

I am so excited to announce that I bought my best friends Chibi that she's had for over a year ago and had just ended leaving her there. So she's on her way, I can't wait to take tons of photos of her when she gets home. But now I need to start the hunt for a face up artist.

Thanks much! I think at this point it's just figuring out what style I want for my Lilin and her matching wink head and whether or not I want her cat, unicorn, ànd elf parts blushed to match. I am so happy she's one of the ones that came with tons of shoes too so at least I don't have to try and find those.

I'm not sure if she'd belong here or in the mini thread since she's on a minifee body, but I received my Lilin prim&proper plate back from Attilatilly today, and I'm in love


If she looks familiar, it's because she's the character Aiko from Oyasumi Punpun. She needs a new wig, and some better eyes but I couldn't resist sharing her!

I have a dilemma. I don't know which body to get if I'm able to purchase a Chibi. I was thinking to make the Chibi a boy but then I realised the Lilin body is curvier which I kinda like regardless, and that's the only body that works with both busts, so if I decide that the character leans more towards the feminine side and I want boobs that'd be preferred.

Which Chibi body do you guys prefer the look off? If say both of them had the small chest? (so not taking the large bust into account).

 

I think mine (roron) has the flat chest, and I do like it. Chioma (cis-het female) is supposed to be 14 years old and hasn't grown up all the way. I imagine once she's fully grown in height and body she won't have a very large bust anyway. I just won't be shelling any older version of her, thankfully for my wallet!

If you got that one and decided s/he should have some small breast curves, you could always pad out a little bralette to add curve.

I had that problem as well! I've been dreaming of a chibi unoa for ages but hadn't finalised my character plans so I wasn't sure which body/face plates to get.

I just placed my order for a paradise skin Roron body as I thought the flat chest gave me more flexibility. I'm so excited! I actually ended up buying 3 face plates cause I couldn't decide I got the Lilin default and both Lilin & Roron's Osumashi/Proper faces

 

The little bugger wants some pleather pants and jacket, and some stompy boots to go with this motorcycle I got a while back.
Ideally, I wanted to do the Roar faceplate with elf ears and unicorn horn, but it took a while to gather those bits and pieces, and nothing is painted yet but this regular faceplate. I tried the ears on him, but they look funny and don't mesh to the fp all that well. I need to tinker around a bit and figure things out.
In the meantime, here's an old photo of my Daniel (Roron - I thought it was Ronron! :0). He sports some scrapes and a couple of band-aids. lol

Thank you so much both. I have decided on the Lilin body so I can have the option between small and large busts, costs more due to buying the small bust separate but that's okay. Plus I prefer the slightly curvier body for either gender so depending on what I go with it'll work out.

 

Here's one of my shots of the two Paradise girls together. OMG, I love having them around. I love chibis, but they're really something special in this skin tone.

 

My chibi has arrived No pics as yet but I adore the paradise skin!!
I'm sending the face plates to Meggilu for faceups soon. She has some very cool ideas I'm excited about. I'll be sure to post pics when they're finished!

My Chibi is in customs atm. The charge is so high ergh. I knew it was coming though but I hate UK customs. Can't wait to get it paid and get my Chibi home!

It was inevitable. All items over £15 get charged. I knew it wouldn't get past them. They've been pretty strict recently.

 

That's a shame. I've had the occasional doll slide through without a charge, but haven't ordered from outside of the UK recently.

My Chibi came yesterday! I love him. I think definitely a boy or genderfluid. I keep thinking I should have just got the Roron body in that case, but I like the shape of the Lilin body and it gives me options. Now I need to get clothes, wigs and all that because I have nothing!

 

Oi! You all see they are releasing special fantasy color chibis in blue and purple? I'm dying of excitement lol! Anyone else planning on ordering one?

 

It may be a lottery. I'm hoping for the lavender one, blank, and elf ears would be a great extra.

I have the new colors at my house for some faceup concept work and I just can't get over the blue! I can see it as an ice witch or a mermaid, or elf!

 

Blue and Purple... that sounds like such a dream. Anyone have pictures of the colors?
